The selection is great and they always have new stuff coming in, many of which are new with tags. Be sure to set aside at least an hour to browse through all the clothing, shoes, and accessories they have. The upstairs has the sale racks and the markdowns can be massive especially for end of the season clothes. I scored a new with tags lined leather black skirt for $8 and a pair of white NYDJ jeans for $12. I've never left empty handed. I don't live in Michigan anymore but my mom does so every time I'm in town this is a must visit!

I understand 100% of the proceeds go to charity, but paying $10 for a pack of candlesticks (one candle missing) marked $7.50 from TJ Maxx is a little over the top. I noticed the inflation years ago, it deterred me from shopping here. I give it another try here and there, but I always leave knowing it's overpriced. Vintage items are worth the prices, but someone really needs to audit the items here! I remember when they would close for the summer & would reopen with everything being 10¢ for a week! Liquidate, restock, and price things how they should be tagged. They will learn you sell more items this way & will have more room for new items. It's Monroe, not Los Angeles.

Tried and True is a well run shop.  There is plenty of parking around back.  They accept donations as well as sell quality items for reasonable prices.  They have a nice selection of knick-knacks.  Their clothing is clean and they have a wide selection in many sizes.  The clothing is stylish and in good condition. From time to time they have very good furniture bargains.  You just never know what's going to show up. The staff here is very interested in providing a quality service and they are very good at customer service.  I enjoy going here as I am usually assured, if not a good conversation, a nice exchange of pleasantries which always brightens my day.
