We arrived around 10:15 am Saturday 9/4 only to find the store and gates locked up tight even though there was a large sign out front stating the hours were 9:30-5 Tuesday through Friday and Saturday 9:30-4. My wife checked their Facebook page to see if there was any info on why they closed but there was none. Other cars continued to arrive as well. If a business is going to be closed during stated operating hours they need to inform their customers so people like us and others won't waste there time and gas driving to a business they expect to be open, only to find it closed.SMFH!

They were going all out when I was checking their store out. It was after Thanksgiving, so we were there for the yule time. This place has so many things that smell so, so strongly. They've got jars upon jars of potpourri, and scented candles. You could smell this store when the doors opened. They've got a bunch of olive oils, and it looked like they were giving away samples in other times, but not at the moment. They sell lots of soaps, oils, and the like too. The clerks were nonchalant about my roaming around. I didn't bother to try and get up in the window display with a chair in it that looks like it might be a comfortable place to sit and watch traffic go by. There seemed to be an upstairs area, but I didn't go up there.

The store is set up very well and you can maneuver through it easily; it is NOT one of those stores with junk piled everywhere. It is clean and arranged neatly and the items I looked at were washed (blankets) and dusted (furniture). They have a perfect mix of everything from collectibles, to antique tools, to vintage china, and furniture. Their prices were extremely reasonable and all offers were considered. They also have an entire warehouse of additional items that include lots and lots of vintage furniture and chairs. If I had had a trailer with me I could have purchased 3 pieces of nice antique furniture and several antique chairs for less than $1000. If you are looking for furniture for your home or to repurpose, I highly recommend Eagle Eye! If you've been before and didn't find anything, I would go back. If they didn't have what you needed before, they may have it now or they may be able to find it in their warehouse. I will be back!

She was politely insulting. She couldn't seem to pick up on body language that her comments weren't well received. She would be insulting with a smile and follow up with saying "no offense." For someone who was apparently an office manager at her last job (from what she told us as she divulged tons of personal information), she clearly must have lost her filter or ability for respectful conversation. When we made a comment about Charleston (my hometown) she started laughing, and I could tell something insulting was probably about to come out of her mouth. I warned her about potentially saying something even more insulting because I'm from Charleston. Plus at this point I was highly irritated with her. I would never talk to potential customers they way she did. Will never go back and would never recommend this place. Definitely drive to Asheville for a better antique experience where you're treated more respectfully.

What a delightful find in Waynesville!…read more I had gone for a run while away on vacation and on my route saw a familiar name--I enjoy shopping at the Fifi's in Cornelius, NC as well--and had to check it out! At the end of my run I returned and asked if they were associated with 'my' store 2 hours away. Not only are they, but I learned from the very nice and helpful salesperson that they have 17 stores in the southeast! It never even occurred to me to look for Fifi's elsewhere, so I was thrilled to learn this little tidbit! Now...the real reason for being there was shopping and boy was I ever pleased! A Ralph Lauren skirt in my size on the 5$ rack! I found an amazing St. John suit jacket...well, I found several but one can only buy so much at once without a scowling husband. ;) The store was clean, well-lit and had a super selection in many sizes. While not a petite myself, I was impressed to see a fully separate section for those sizes as well as a really great plus size selection! I wear 6 or 8 generally and there were a BEVY of items in those sizes. I truly think I could have completely restocked my wardrobe there--even a few evening pieces--had I chosen to stay on permanent vacation and not returned home. The shoe selection seemed quite nice in sizes up to 11, I alas wear a 13, so nothing for me, but lots of pretty pairs to look at and excellent pricing for shoes still in nearly new condition. While I cannot imagine making a trip all the way to Waynesville only to shop a consignment store, I can guarantee you that any future trip I do make there will include a stop at this delightful gem...and a purchase or two!
