At first glance you'd think this natural setting is more scaled back from some KOA's but after staying here for three nights as my husband got over a virus, I was impressed. The young man overseeing this campground kept it immaculate in all areas of importance. The bathrooms and showers sparkled. The laundry room was even super clean! He was also helpful and friendly. They were doing some improvements so it might be even better. But we liked the natural setting, the super clean swimming pool, and the "good enough" playground for kids. There's even a storm shelter which is nice since this is in Kansas! We saw some storms, but never as bad as they could have been, and were, all around us! It's a nice RV park. Enjoy! read more

We planned on stopping for the night on the way to Moab, Utah, but our tow vehicle suddenly required a new transmission on a Saturday evening! Our stay was able to be extended without a problem. The hostess was amazing- so sweet with our kids, offering to check on our dog when we were able to take a day trip to Colorado, and providing us with all the information we needed about anyone who could tow or offer service. The bathrooms were spotless. I am very picky about bathrooms and we had chosen a water/electric site so we needed to rely on the bathrooms. They were immaculate and new. The pool was a bit chilly according to my daughter, but it had been cold the night before and we had just gone to the community pool which was much warmer. A great place to stop and if you get stuck there like us it is even a great place to stay. read more

Stayed here on our way to the eclipse from Colorado to Arkansas. Greeted by Cindy who gave us dog and people treats! We booked a dog friendly spot at the front of the campground. They have obviously put in a lot of work at this place during recent months. Our large site was immaculate as was the rest of the campground. We had a small fenced in area just for our dogs and one of the two large dog runs was across the road from us. We also had a nice propane fireplace, table and chairs as well as a bench. There is a newer expansion away from the road where the trees are smaller but it will look great when they grow in. There are dog poo stations everywhere with bags and trash cans. There was a cute little playground close to us. We liked it so much we stayed again on the way back. Loved it! read more

We called to book a site while on the road with our 3 dogs. We let the manager know we'd be in late. He was very nice & got us in a spot with privacy. The site was spacious, the campground was clean & quiet. We would stop here again if passing through. read more

Great campsite. Bathrooms are beautiful. They escort you to your campsite. Staff is so helpful and friendly. 2 dogs runs that our puppies absolutely loved. If you have dogs with long hair. Beware. Loved this little town.! The KOA manager was most helpful. He directed us to points of interest around and we easily biked all over. The people we stopped to talk to were all friendly. We were directed to the local hometown bar and grill and it was spacious and the people were most charming. Back at the campground, The grounds were clean and the spaces are wide apart. The bathrooms and laundry were very clean. It is most picturesque with beautiful irises and a rustic windmill next door. Really a charming place to If you are going down Hwy 70 this is the campgrounds to stop. read more

This was a very pleasant and easy spot for a night's stop over on a long drive across the plains. Near the tracks and a racetrack (which was rather lively on the Saturday night we came through) but honestly the noise wasn't bad at all with our fan going in the trailer. Two pent up pups really appreciated the large fenced off leash dog run after being in the car all day (strong chain link fence was in very good condition). Bathrooms were clean and check in / out was contactless, easy and swift. Nothing not to like here! read more

one of the best koas we have stayed at. the employees are wonderful and very helpful. very clean park with not one but two dogs parks which had grass and shade. the lots were a nice size with two very nice sitting areas. internet is great. not much to do in the area but would stay here again. read more

Great stop to break up our drive to CO. Management was so friendly! Clean restrooms/showers. Our site had plenty of room and some trees for shade and hammocking. No fire pit, but there was a grill. There was also a large field right there since we were at the back that was pretty and great for frisbee. We don't have kids, but it looked like there was a nice playground and pool. It was next to a kind of creepy but also pretty old abandoned farmhouse that we had fun walking over to. read more

Richard and Alicia are a wonderful Polish couple from Chicago who came to Goodland, KS to buy and operate this RV park. They have a unique, friendly energy about them that makes patrons feel more like guests in a quaint bed and breakfast than travelers in an RV park. Their laundry, showers and restrooms are all good, power at the pedestals is fine, sites are level and the wi-fi is strong. There's nothing fancy here but, getting to know this nice couple as they served us breakfast yesterday morning, we really came to appreciate their warm hospitality. read more

We stayed one night, was so easy off the freeway! Very nice if you have children, a few swings, old type merry go round in great shape, and a swimming pool. The ground are well kept and have pretty flowers. It was quiet during the night. The only negative for me was the restroom/showers due to No air conditioning. read more

What an amazing find! This KOA is an oasis off of I-70. The couple that run it are super friendly and helpful. The campground is just far enough away from the interstate so you don't hear a lot of the traffic. Free WiFi (though a little slow), free mini golf... the only drawback is the lack of things in the area. We were just passing through, so this was PERFECT! read more

They have quite a few shaded campsite and they are level also! The owners were incredibly welcoming and offered late check in in a well lit area which made me feel very safe . in the morning the owner's wife was up cooking breakfast and I must say it was delicious! the bathroom is very clean and all in all this is one of the best koas I've ever been to! they have a nice enclosed dog run that's actually lit so we could go there in the early evening. Lastly, I will close by saying is that they charge a reasonable amount of money for a campsite which is exceptional considering that most koaz are getting to be pretty expensive these days. it was really nice to get a tent site that was $23 we will stay here again! read more

KOA treated us wonderfully! We broke down on the highway nearby and rented a cabin for us two and our St. Bernard. The facilities were clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and accommodating. They even let us stick around while we waited for our car to be repaired. They also provided shelter during a tornado warning. The off leash dog area was big and our pup loved running around. read more

We really liked that this was located off HWY 24 and not off I-70. It was quiet, had enough shade to be comfortable, clean restrooms, a good little pool and a miniature golf course that was $2 per person. The mini golf wasn't really in the best shape but it was something fun to do with the kids to pass the time. Great staff were helpful and made us feel welcomed. We've stayed at KOAs all over the US and I think this is our favorite. Owner was very friendly and there's free coffee in the morning. Bathrooms super clean and campsites were great. Grassy and not right off the freeway like a lot of other KOAs. A good vibe all around. We plan on staying here again. read more

Really glad we stayed here. Stayed for 3 nights. Wifi is the best any campground has had in our nearly 3000 mile journey from Tucson up through California, Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado to here on our way to St Louis. Big rig friendly, nice streets, VERY nice staff, and most important to us old folks --QUIET!! Even the water tastes good. Also, easy access to really good food in Goodland! Very well kept KOA, where the owners are on the grounds and obviously have good "old-fashioned" pride of ownership. These days that is a bonus. We stayed one peaceful night in our motorhome. Can't speak for the facilities (except for a clean laundry room), as we are self-contained. A small park with semi-private sites. Wifi was spotty at best, my only issue. Would return if in this area again. read more

We stayed here for one night. I am glad we stopped here. The campground is a very nice property. The staff was very kind and courteous. The bathrooms/showers were a little dated but still nice for a campground. Not complaining at all. The only issue i may see if you are in a tent and or a light sleeper is the fact that there is a short line railroad just across the field behind the campground with a railyard just west of the property. Unfortunately the horn at 6:30 am woke my wife up(lite sleeper) and myself a railfan. I wanted to go watch it but wasn't sure how long it was going to be around. I checked it out after i was set to continue on my trek east. But on that note. I don't believe or know for sure how often the train runs but i am guessing it's only run on a once and a while occasion but probably more during the harvest season. So i say don't let that keep you from staying here. And if you are a railfan don't count on seeing a train running. read more

This is what it's like on the other side of the rainbow!!! My husband and I have been on a cross-country roadtrip for our honeymoon and have stayed at several KOA campsites in the past two weeks. The Goodland KOA is gorgeous! We drove from Moab through Colorado to this campsite because it was the perfect stopping place on our way to St. Louis (we live in Atlanta and are on our returning leg of our trip). What a great find! We are tenting and the campsites are completely level with the perfect cushion of soft grass that made this one of my best nights of sleep, even with my rapidly deflating and in much need of repair ground pad. The facilities are clean and well kept. The amenities are awesome! There is mini golf, a swimming pool, a playground, and more! In front of the store/office is a pretty garden with tables and chairs to relax and take in the scenery and fresh air. In the back of the KOA is a sunflower field! I love it! Also, the people who operate the site are extremely friendly and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and cared for. I can't say enough good things about this KOA site! read more

This was my very first KOA experience with my brand new camper. I wasn't expecting much since KOA's were big in the 60's and 80's;however we were surprised with the pleasant stay we had at this "Kampground." We were greeted by a nice gentleman who basically let us pick our own spot to set up the camper. He also recommend some places to eat around town after he gave us the quick run-down on the KOA. The bathrooms were a little dated but very clean. The pool was clean and warm enough to swim in. They had a put put course and a play ground for kids which was a little dated but something to kill the time with. I would recommend staying here of your passing through while on I-70. Everyone camping around us was very friendly and we were able to start quick conversations about our campers and our future destinations! Also, for just a little more than the fee of parking your camper you can rent a cute little cabin. read more
