I went back to…read moreher because none of my other root canals had felt like that, ever, and she told me it would be fine and gave me an antibiotic perscription. Fast forward a year, and this root canal is terrible. I feel it every day. I went to my dentist and got an x-ray done, and the first question he had for me was, "Did a dental student do this root canal?" Korkosz did not widen my root canals as she went, leaving them very thin and likely did not completely clear them out which is why I still have sensation and pain. She also does not put metal supports in the middle of the tooth to support the crown, which is surely compounding the issue I'm facing currently. I am going to have to have my root canal re-done, correctly, and it's going to cost me a lot of money and pain. I would not recommend ever going to this endo, for anything. She has the skills of a dental student and you will pay in the long run for it.

Although it's hard to judge from a layman's perspective, her technique seemed excellent. The root canal is done in two appointments and I had no discomfort after either visit. I'm likely to need a second and will not hesitate to return. I agree with another reviewer that the receptionist is great and that the practice is in a wonderful old house.

I was not expecting to have a procedure done with a sick doctor. The images were never reviewed with me and explained. The exam felt rushed, and my questions about the treatment and post-procedure pain management were not answered clearly and I felt rushed. I was told he would not prescribe any medications at all if the procedure caused pain or infection and to call my primary physician. My health situation prohibits the use of NSAIDs. I was charged $430 for a partial CBCT, X-ray, and a brief exam with distress. I left. I do not recommend this office at all. I have had extensive dental work done, so I have an acute sensitivity for red flags. PS, the staff were friendly.

This place is a scam. They will take your money, leave you in pain, and refuse to help you further…read more This is also the only local provider that charges you an initial "exam fee" then the root canal charges separately, later. All other places charge $500 less - and aren't trying to scam you into paying an "exam fee" so they can then NOT provide you with a root canal. Go ANYWHERE else, this place is a scam. I went in for a root canal but was anxious about the procedure. I told them about this and they definitely noticed before starting. Instead of noting I was upset and asking me to come back another day, the "doctor" drilled away HALF OF MY TOOTH before deciding he wasn't able to complete the procedure because I was nervous. He stopped, leaving me IN PAIN with half a tooth. Then, at the cashier they were unable to process my credit card payment for the exam. They floundered about, making me more upset about the situation, asking to make photocopies of my credit card (??), and refused to schedule another appointment for me unless I paid. However, they couldn't accept the payment despite trying to process it multiple times, their system was down. They told me I had to pay them in order to schedule my next appointment. I paid, and now they won't schedule me. Bait and switch! Now, I am "banned" from their practice (because their credit card machine doesn't work???). They refuse to help a patient that they PLACED IN SEVERE PAIN. Don't go here unless you're looking to waste money and be in WAY MORE PAIN THAN BEFORE. This isn't a doctor, it is a scam.

The tooth, a molar, had…read morealso been corrected by braces a few years back in my early 60s; when I was a child it had come in "sideways" (not even touching the tooth below) and it took quite a bit of "coaxing" to straighten it, to say the least. Prior to my visit I had seen another endodontist two years earlier, who recommended crowning the tooth, which had been chronically sensitive, due, in his opinion, to a likely small crack in the tooth itself (not the root). He did not think the root was affected. My dentist crowned the tooth, but the problem persisted, and my dentist again referred me to an endodontist, and this time I saw Dr. Ghandi. Dr. Ghandi listened to all of this and gave me her opinion that "no root" could likely survive the trauma of being forced as it had been to straighten it, I'm sure because I'd had braces many decades after the tooth emerged. She recommended a two-step root canal, first to remove the dead root, and then to pack it with an antibiotic for a month before finished the procedure. We did that, and in fact the root was dead and infected, with some bone loss. However, she is reasonably confident that the tooth can be saved (from extraction), although it may take some time for the longtime sensitivity to fade. Time will tell. Dr. Ghandi is a true professional. She listens well, considers what you say, explains her opinion clearly, and tells you step by step, in a considerate way, what she's doing to your tooth as she proceeds. She may have saved my tooth, which apparently was not ideally managed earlier (although she avoids any criticism of other practitioners; just gives her opinion going forward). Her staff is also polite, efficient, and obviously competent. Oh, and if you call with a question or problem following the procedure (I had some pain, not surprisingly, after step one), she absolutely will call you back at the end of the day (and prescribed antibiotics, in my case). I recommend her and her office without reservation.

BEWARE of Dr. Neda Azadivatan! Whatever you do, DO NOT go to Precision Periodontics & Endodontics…read morein Clifton Park, NY! She will try and pull a fast one on you. She's just as shady as her practice. I made the mistake of going there because I was referred by my dentist. I arrived at my appointment for a root canal. To my surprise and disappointment, my appointment was for an evaluation not a root canal. So, I had to make another appointment and take another day off work. The visit cost me $391.00. She tacked on unnecessary tests and procedures to line her pockets. The day of the appointment, I get a call from the office telling me I need to reschedule because the doctor was sick. In all, she cancelled on the day of my appointment not 1, not 2, but 3 times! Unbelievable! I decided she was too unreliable and I told the office manager that I'm going to have to find another dentist. I also told her I should get a partial refund for my wasted time and inconvenience (I live 90 miles away). She said she will ask the doctor and get back to me. Of course, she never did. What ethical doctor cancels 3 times the day of an appointment? This was intentional! After the entire ordeal was over, I looked up Dr. Neda's reviews on Google. I went by the most recent. And what I noticed is that there are some people that had good experiences with 5 star reviews. But most were terrible with 1 star reviews. As I scroll down, I see 5 stars, 1 star, 4 stars and 1 star respectively. Basically, it's either she's off or she's on. It shouldn't be like that. That's NOT how a doctor should be. I located a good dentist in my area and made an appointment for a root canal. He did the consult and x-rays on the same day as the root canal. Furthermore, I was not charged for the consult and X-rays. It was all included in the cost of the root canal. The doctor was very friendly, courteous and answered my questions thoroughly. Unlike Dr. Nada, who was very rude and short and gave one-word answers, "yes" and "no" (I'm not making that up). Please take heed to my warning about this incompetent dentist. She will waste your time and take your money. I learned my lesson to check the reviews first. :(

WORST PRACTICE I HAVE EVER GONE TO!! If I could have given them a 0 rating, I would. I was…read morereferred to this practice to have a tooth extracted - a root canal that went bad. They extracted the tooth and convinced me to have an implant installed, but required I pay all expenses upfront. They told me I was required to have intravenous sedation as Dr Neda does not do surgery without intravenous sedation (of course they collected more money for this type of sedation). During the sedation, the tech missed my vein and I passed out temporarily. They called the ambulance and forced me to go by ambulance to the hospital, even though I said (and signed a release form) that I didn't need to go to the hospital. I have given over 8 gallons of blood and this is the first time I have passed out when stuck with a needle. Dr Neda had me come back a month later and placed the implant in a poor location, which she discovered at the follow-up checkup 3 months later! She stated that she would redo the procedure, at her cost, as the implant was not in a good spot. When I returned to have it redone, she sedated me, as usual, but then decided NOT to redo the procedure and that I should just keep the implant where it was! The location would have left a large gap between the implanted tooth and adjacent tooth! I then consulted with three other dentists who said the implant was poorly placed, and I asked Dr Neda for a refund - she said absolutely NOT! So I sued her in small claims court for malpractice just to try to get my $5K back that I already gave her! She countersued for wasting her time and had a high priced malpractice lawyer defending her - I was left to defend myself and didn't stand a chance. The judge dropped her lawsuit and we had 4 court appearances! Her lawyer had all my evidence dismissed, as I didn't have the technicians/ doctors who performed the x-rays present as a witness, nor the ambulance drivers, nor the dentists whom I consulted.... Thus I lost my case and Dr Neda got to keep the $5K I paid her - she was ecstatic to have defeated me in court! Needless to say, Dr Neda is the worst dentist I have ever worked with and she should have been banned from practicing! I reported her to the NYS Dental association and they had initially determined that an investigation was needed. They told me they would just fine her and slap her on the wrist if found she was negligent. But that I would need to sue her if I was going to get any money back! My recommendation is : Do NOT go to this practice unless you want to risk working with a dentist who is more concerned with money and her reputation than treating a patient in a professional and compassionate manner!

Dr. Zembroski DDS of Cambridge Dental presented me with a list of the other endodontists that she could recommend. Up came Root Canal Specialists, figured with a name like that and besides being the closet (Clifton Park office), how could I go wrong? Upon arriving for the consultation, they performed all the necessary X-rays in 3-D. Dr. Byme explained that the number 30 molar was severely impacted in all four roots, and it would be a challenging job but could be done. She explains that it would take maybe one visit, but more than likely two visits, to perform the work. I was to be almost fully sedated with Triazolam and Nitrous Oxide when seated in the chair before the procedure started. She also offered an option to watch TV, listen to the radio, with their headphones or bring in my headphones and device. All in all, I underwent four visits, the consultation, two for the procedure, and one for a follow-up to make sure that everything was done correctly. They don't accept dental insurance, but will complete the necessary forms and submit them to your dental plan. I had to call the practice to request a letter explaining why I needed to be sedated for my insurance plan. They forwarded the letter after two tries, the first being lost in the mail? I would definitely recommend Root Canal Specialists. Dr. Byme is a skilled endodontist, and the staff is friendly and proficient at their work.
