I was looking for a good vet to make my dog's primary vet.I came upon this one while browsing and it had good reviews, and when I went today I was impressed of how nice the place is and they showed my puppy so much love and the vet informed me very well on what was going on with my puppy. They also gave me everything necessary for my puppy to be 100% again, I was in and out as well service is pretty fast I would definitely recommend this place and I love how cute they made her baggie of prescriptions.

    Puppy

We got a mini Aussie Doodle puppy and scheduled our first wellness check at Good Vets. We are first time puppy parents so we were a bit nervous! When we arrived we were immediately impressed with how clean and nice it was. The receptionist, vet tech and veterinarian were all friendly and professional. The vet explained in detail what she recommended for our pups current and future treatment. We had heard many stories from friends and neighbors about how difficult it was to find a good vet in the area. We are happy to say we found a great one on our first try.

Everyone over the years was so good, and knowledgeable, and caring. And we recently had to send our girl to Heaven and as tough as it was, they made it as bearable as possible. Bruiser had his annual last week and I reminded me he should have his teeth taken care of. Dr. Legori's staff has the most loving staff who genuinely care for your fur babies and you! I dropped my Broobie off when they opened and was told exactly what needed to be done. I received a call later in the day and that everything went well. There was no, "He needed this or this happened that cost $200 more. " Very simple, we cleaned his teeth, had to extract 2. Much as I expected. I later picked up Broobie and brought Mama Bisc with me. She walked around the house all day lonely without him. Of course she was hesitant to go in thinking she was going in for something! We were greeted with lotso love. Biscuit was so excited to see his Broobie when they brought him out. Kisses and loves all around. I cannot think of any Veterinarian and staff who show this much love and patience for their clients. I love that if something were to happen in the future, I could call and get in right away and receive the upmost care, because they care as much as we care for our fur babies.

I also really appreciate that they never pressure you or make you feel uncomfortable if you choose to decline or postpone services. Our dog recently had surgery here, and everything went smoothly. The only drawback was the interaction when we dropped him off. The technician who received our dog came across as somewhat nonchalant, which was difficult given that my wife was feeling anxious due to a previous traumatic surgical experience at another vet. His tone, expression, and checklist-style approach lacked empathy and reassurance, which would have gone a long way in that moment. That said, we were pleasantly surprised to receive a follow-up call the next day to check on our dog, which was very thoughtful and appreciated. Overall, this is a great veterinary practice aside from that single interaction. I'm willing to give the technician the benefit of the doubt--perhaps it was just early that morning and/or he was having an off day. We plan to continue bringing our dog here for his care.

I had a 10:30am appointment for my kitten. I waited 25 minutes before being sent into a room. This…read morewas the appointment for the last booster for my kitten And this was my first time going there with my kitten. I have been going there for over 25 years when I had dogs and was excited to be able to go back there now that I had a kitten because I really love the care and how they treated you and how they were upfront with all the charges back then. But this was not the case on my first visit with my new kitten. I asked if I should get the wellness plan and the technician said well it shouldn't be that much of a charge it is not worth to get that so I did not. Dr. Rubenstein came in to check on my kitten. He said that it looks like I did not get the feline leukemia shot for my kitten so I called the place where I got the kitten to find out if it was done and it was not, so I decided that I would get the shot then done since I already had the appointment scheduled at Care Animal Hospital. But then I was told that they would have to run a test to see if the kitten had leukemia before she could get the shot and that would take 30 minutes so I went ahead and had the test done. They came out negative and then got the leukemia shot And then when I got the bill, it stated that this was just an initial leukemia shot, but that was never mention from the doctor or technician at the time when they recommended that I should get the shot that it would be two shots and the next one would have to be done 30 days from today. So I went to the front desk to pay and I said how come I couldn't get on the wellness plan this was not what I expected to pay today and I did ask the technician to be put on the wellness plan and they said it wasn't needed, and he was there when the doctor explained the leukemia shot should have been given as well today. As a first time patient, you would think they would explain the wellness plan to you and get you signed up for it, but they did not. I was very disappointed on how they wasn't upfront with all the charges and not letting you know that they would be also a second shot that was needed until you read it yourself on the paperwork. This is not the same veterinarian that I used to go with when I have my dogs. It's so sad to see this place to turn into a business That their name that says Care that they do not care. This is no longer a personal practice that was run by Dr. Kane as it still implies by the veterinarian signs. It is run by a corporate group called Home Veterinarian group. That explains the poor service and disclosure of fees. It is no longer about Care but about the $$$$.

We adoptedo a kitten at Christmas and brought him in 2 weeks later to be treated for ringworms because we all got it from the cat with my daughter requiring very extensive treatment for 6 weeks. The vet told us he found no lesions, didn't even offer a test or educate us about ringworms and care. 2 months later we adopt another kitten and brought him in after 1 week for a checkup just to find out that he was infected with ringworms from our first cat. Dr Rivera was great and highly urged us to bring in the first cat for testing educating us that some cats do not show symptoms but are carriers or ringworm. Sure enough our first cat still has ringworms and now both cats are in isolation instead of getting used to each other and we've spent a lot of money on treatment for both cats when this could have been all completely done with if the first vet we saw had spent a bit more time listening to us, educating us and encouraging us to test our cat. The cat could have been treated and isolated 2 months ago and the new cat would have never gotten it and we would have been safer as well. Plus the additional stress and inconvenience of constant cleaning and sanitizing and not being able to socialize for 2 cats now vs just 1. Also having to tell friends and family who have been over to check for ringworms on themselves. Dr Riviera was great educating us but the first experience is just something I really needed to share here because it caused a very unfortunate and expensive situation for us, so hoping to avoid this for others in the future.

We loved the place at first until this office manager started telling us to find a primary vet because this place was supposed to be there for procedures that cost more at other places. The last straw was a cat that was blowing up with fluid. We had this fluid drained twice. They were supposed to send a sample to a lab and after a week they had not received results back. Then after two weeks said the sample wasn't sent out on time and couldn't be tested. They did refund the money but then the cat needed an ultrasound and the next ultrasound appointment was weeks away. They told us we could get the ultrasound done at a place in Wesley Chapel and we did and had the results sent to Harmony. The office manager refused to give them to the vet and told us we had to have the other place's vet look at them. The other place didn't have a vet. They only did the ultrasound. It took a week and another visit to their office to complain because it was their office that told us we could get the ultrasound elsewhere and even told us where to go. The cat shortly thereafter died what had to be an agonizing death. He laid down and all of that fluid just started pouring out of him like a balloon had popped inside of him. Once we realized the office staff was interfering in animal care, we never took another of our animals there. We went right around the corner to Care Animal Hospital and they've been wonderful.
