Staff came off as unfriendly and rude. Did not receive the respect a paying customer should. Selection not as vast as K-W Vintage Games

Went here the other day while I was out with my 8 year old nephew. His mom had given him some money…read moreto go ahead and get some Pokémon packs. As a fan of Pokémon myself I know how expensive the hobby has become and how little is available due to scalpers clearing everywhere out. Luckily the man working let us know that they were trying to combat this with charging retail price for their cards unlike most places that mark them up by absurd prices. We then were able to actually purchase some packs and my nephew was ecstatic! It's places like this with employees who seem to actually care that keep my faith alive when it comes to this hobby. We will 1000% be coming back to support this store. They are amazing and so are the employees.

My #1 stop for video games that I've been going to since I was a kid. To be honest, I dislike going to EB Games now, since like 75% of their stores are just POP figures and merchandise, and they only sell the newest games with a sad selection of used games, nothing for older consoles, and an almost non-existent selection of DS/3DS games. But I always depend on Microplay to have a new, lesser known game I want in stock. They also have games for older consoles like N64, PS, PS2, and GC, and sometimes have cheaper prices on brand new games compared to other video game stores. Even if there's other game stores nearby, I always go out of my way to buy a game I want at Microplay, cause I REALLY don't want them to ever close down!

The Beat Goes On - Storefront. It's such a nice day that the door is propped open.

Very good record selection and friendly staff, would definitely recommend to go there if you're in…read morethe area, very good prices too, got 2 cds and a vinyl for cheap and they were in good condition.

I kept that in mind. It's amusing to me that I have spent a ton of time at Farm Boy that I never noticed The Beat Goes On. It's across from Farm Boy. One day, I went into Farm Boy and came out without buying a thing. It shocked me. Perhaps I have spent so much time there that I have everything that I need. I left my car parked in a decent spot in front of the supermarket and walked over to The Beat Goes On. This store sells new and used CDs, DVDs, cassettes, records, and video games. There are also turntables and move. I would say that there is more used merchandise. I absolutely love going to such music stores. I can easily spend an hour there, which is exactly what I did. I got some nice used CDs at cheap prices. There was an Erasure CD that I didn't have in my collection. It was mine for $3. I also got a couple of solo CD albums by Dave Gahan, the lead singer of Depeche Mode. I picked up a couple of records (vinyl to the younger crowd). Pet Shop Boys released Super a couple of years ago. The record version of this album was 50% off. Without any hesitation, I snatched it up. I also got a used Dirty Dancing record for $2. I am late to the Dirty Dancing bandwagon. Last year, I watched the movie for the first time on a flight back to Toronto from Shanghai. I have always loved the music from the movie, but never got the album until now! The used collection of records is impressive here. They are on the floor, so you may want to stretch now and again while you flip through everything. The man at the counter fetching my CDs was friendly and personable. I had a wonderful experience here. I also enjoyed all the Beatles music being played while I was browsing. He was wearing a Beatles shirt, too. I will be coming back here again when I'm in this vicinity. (267)
