Excellence School, our kids loves it. Very small friendly environment, the teachers are great and very involved. Classrooms very small 10+ Kids per class. Highly recommended, very affordable considering everything they get. My kids are definitely learning the word of God, and are being influenced in a Christian perspective.

This school is a blessing for my kids and my family. We come from the bureaucratic public school system. I can see the enormous benefit of small classroom in Good Shepherd, the kids feel a family environment! where they are care with love and individual attention. Very affordable tuition for all that we getting back. All the teachers are very professional, nurture and loving. My kids are very happy here. There is no better gift to our kids than education, along with God's word in daily basis in this wonderful Christian school.

This school is the best quality for your buck in the area. Our daughter has attended for three years. The CDC really embraced her and molded her in a positive way. This is a safe campus with exceptionally friendly staff that is always flexible to meet your needs. I highly recommend this school.

Until the age of two, we were able to nurture his love of creativity through art, get him engaged in reading and music, and keep him active and independent while learning at home, but his social-emotional growth needed a community like Modern Schoolhouse to truly develop. We met another family at his favorite playground that had an AMAZING experience at Modern Schoolhouse and their daughter, who was academically gifted and raised with similar philosophies, was thriving under their care. We enrolled and discovered for ourselves that Modern Schoolhouse was indeed an absolute gem for child development. Our son entered after turning two, and he was very shy/reserved at the time. The talking, dancing, singing, bilingual artist that blew us away with his funny ideas and love of learning at home, needed help expressing himself in the larger group. Over the next several years, Leonardo was able to grow and thrive his ability to emotionally self-regulate, from having a 'safe space' at home to being able to identify what he was feeling and how to 'calm his body,' to listening to others and respecting common space. What we didn't anticipate was not just the top quality of the school, the clean aesthetic spaces, and the exceptional teachers (Teacher Alicia from class 3 was truly amazing!!), but also the like minded and kind community that became a key part of our son's social life. During our son's first years at home, we studied Montessori, Waldorf, and Reggio Emilia- instituting some principles of each in our approach at home. It wasn't until we met Sue and her philosophies at Modern Schoolhouse did we see some of these same philosophies embodied in an American child care setting; and we must have interviewed or toured at 5 or more local schools before finding Modern Schoolhouse. The core beliefs consist of the idea that children are competent, capable, curious individuals with hundreds of ways of self expression. The role of the school and family should be creating a structured, clean, and aesthetic environment that is conducive stimulating exploration and discovery. Teachers in this sense guide and foster collaboration rather than just 'delivering information.' Giving our son a new challenge was hard at first, but Sue and her staff were quick to offer suggestions and outside resources so we could reinforce some lessons at home, especially around his development of social/emotional skills like managing anger, dealing with disappointment, and learning to communicate when he needed space. He also was given the chance to learn how to build relationships and have positive interactions with new friends. Each 'season' and month had different themes that would be clearly delivered in monthly/quarterly emails along with chances to meet with teachers on child progress in key development areas of language, tracing, use of scissors, how to put on shoes/jackets, counting, class participation/listening, and emotional self expression. By class 3 (3 years old and above), our son was giving 'show and tell' presentations, using the 'sharing bee' to discuss their weekend, and playing inventive games to stimulate imagination and curiosity. Through the use of brightwheel, we were always shown photos and videos of our son having fun with friends and doing some fun activity. The school also offered many events at the school such as the "annual art show," "parent and me" day, and music sessions from Teacher Gaia culminating in a student led music performance (the cutest!). This year all the 4 classes made their own animal costumes and acted out various Disney themes. It was extraordinary to see him flourish and thrive under Teacher Alicia in class 3, who is truly remarkable for her ability to connect to kids and meet them where they are on the journey. By the end he was more confident in his presentations and even singing his favorite Disney songs Karaoke style to the class! Everything ended on a wonderful note with his graduation and small speech to parents and the graduating class. We were given an opportunity for a graduation photoshoot and his 'family book' with messages from all of the teachers as a keepsake that he created during his time there. As he graduated before many of the others in class 3, everyone created a special hand painted art for him with with the handprints of all his friends. It is bittersweet to go onto the next chapter, but he graduated school scoring high in every single metric of development, and he easily was interviewed and accepted into an international private school. Thanks you for being such a key part of his childhood journey and we hope to stay in touch with Leonardo and our growing family!

Initially, we had some concerns about starting him so young, but it quickly became clear that enrolling him early was the right choice. He is truly thriving--emotionally, mentally, and intellectually. The curriculum at TMS is incredibly well thought out. Each activity clearly connects to the weekly or daily theme, and we've seen real growth in our son's development. He's starting to learn the alphabet and has become much more verbal since he began. What stands out even more is how happy our child is at TMS. Every photo we receive through the app shows him smiling, and we always feel confident dropping him off, knowing he's in caring and capable hands. The teachers, staff, and owner (Sue) are exceptional. Our son absolutely adores his teachers and lights up when we mention their names in the morning. Even though he's usually very attached to us, he was so excited to see his teacher at the Annual Art Show that he practically leaped from my arms to greet her. That kind of connection is exactly what every parent hopes for in a school: a place where your child feels loved and supported. On top of all this, the school is extremely clean. Our son has hardly been sick, and we've noticed how attentive the staff is to hygiene--little ones always have their noses wiped, diapers changed very frequently and the environment is clearly well-maintained. TMS is far beyond a typical daycare--it's a place where our child is growing, learning, and genuinely happy.

The program is thoughtfully organized with a great mix of free exploration and structured activities, all designed with toddlers' development in mind. Each week had new, well-curated stations and age-appropriate toys that kept things engaging and fun. Angela, the program director, and her team were incredibly welcoming, warm, and communicative throughout the program. They did a wonderful job making the space feel inviting and safe for both toddlers and their caregivers, whether parents, grandparents, or nannies. That was especially meaningful for little ones who may not have had prior school experience yet. The staff was fantastic with the children and clearly cared deeply about creating a nurturing environment. You can really see the love and thought they put into everything, from the classroom setup to the outdoor play areas. Overall, Toddler and Me was a great value and wonderful exposure for our son. My experience with the school was unique in that my son had been enrolled at another preschool for several years prior to me deciding to move him to Segray. Unfortunately, his prior school was suffering from administrative and staffing challenges that were significantly affecting my son, leaving me no choice but to seek out a new school for him at the end of his pre-K year and just two months before he was set to begin Kindergarten. A friend referred me to Segray and suggested I reach out to Annette and Abby about enrolling. I was very upfront with both of them about the challenges we'd experienced and the effect it was having on my son. They could not have been more welcoming, understanding and supportive - things I was in desperate need of after feeling a lack of support at the prior school. They welcomed my son into the classroom and worked very closely with us to calm my nerves and ensure my son felt supported and welcome in his new school. As you'll see immediately upon touring the school, it's a very inspired and beautiful environment. What you may not get to see during a short tour is how warm and happy the staff and teachers are, and as a result - how happy the kids are. In just two short months at Segray my son overcame the social challenges he'd experienced at his previous school, and most importantly he rediscovered his love of school. I will forever be grateful for Segray's ability to offer our family a more joyous and peaceful last couple of months of preschool and for the care, attention and compassion they offered our family during every interaction.

We enrolled our daughter…read morejust before her second birthday and will soon need to leave, just shy of her fourth birthday, due to a move. From the beginning, we have felt welcomed, comforted, and cared for. Prior to joining Chandler's, we were fortunate enough to have close family watch our daughter while my spouse and I were working. Our child struggles with general anxiety, transitions, and often becomes emotionally overwhelmed easily. She started in the youngest classroom, The Caterpillars, and has transitioned up to the current oldest classroom, The Butterflies. From the start, The Caterpillars Head Teacher, Ms. Claire, consistently made an extraordinary effort to comfort our child at drop-offs. With empathetic language and a calm demeanor, she consistently soothed our daughter. When our daughter graduated from The Caterpillars and transitioned to Ms. Gisselle's classroom, The Cocoons, Ms. Gisselle also demonstrated a knack for using distraction and redirection. She reminded our daughter of all the wonderful activities and stations she could work on in the classroom, offered to play a song she loves, and inquired if she would like to assist her in setting up things for the day. Ms. Annel in The Butterfly classroom is engaging, communicative, and possesses outstanding interpersonal skills, forming a strong connection with the children. Her ability to connect effectively with the children is evident in the positive impact she has on their learning experience. Upon receiving her daily tracing and worksheet packets, our daughter takes great pride in her accomplishments when Ms. Annel acknowledges her efforts with a marker smiley face.  The teachers at Chandler's Preschool are exceptional educators. They are passionate, enthusiastic, creative, patient, and engaging. They instill kindness, respect for oneself and others, fairness, and have all done an incredible job at fostering a lifelong love of learning in our child. Our daughter has struggled with speech sound disorder, stuttering, and language delay. She began speaking more around the age of 2.5 when she entered The Cocoon classroom. Ms. Gisselle and all the teachers possess a special compassion, remarkable listening skills, and unwavering kindness towards our daughter's language development. From a young age, she would become easily discouraged if she could not perform tasks as well as her peers. However, she has grown into a persistent individual who understands the importance of perseverance. She eagerly shares her daily experiences, including conversations and lessons learned, and proudly presents her work. The daily routine at Chandler's is meticulously structured. Each classroom follows a weekly lesson plan that encompasses Circle Time/Language, Books/Reading, Arts and Crafts, Science and Math, Gross and Fine Motor Skills, Cooking, and outdoor activities. The classrooms are equipped with distinct learning stations, centers, ample natural light, displays of the children's work, opportunities for movement, and designated quiet spaces. Additionally, the school maintains an immaculate cleanliness, and ensures that the building is stocked with toys, dress-up clothes, props, art supplies, books, age-appropriate learning materials, child-sized tables and chairs, and low shelves with accessible toys. Furthermore, the school provides an outdoor area for children to engage in activities. During warm weather months, there is a creek for water play, a track and path for bicycling, a playground and swings, and an open space for outdoor learning and birthday parties. One notable advantage is the extraordinary meals prepared and cooked daily in-house for the children's breakfast and lunch. These meals have fostered a strong preference for wholesome and nutritious foods in our daughter. Some of the meal examples include veggie egg scramble, homemade cinnamon oatmeal topped with pecans and mixed berries, chicken stir-fry with vegetables and sticky rice, organic spinach and peas one-pot creamy ground turkey spaghetti, organic soy and chorizo tacos served with Spanish rice, black beans, and pico de Gallo, and vegetable, lentil, and tricolored beans server over jasmine rice.  Our daughter has made significant progress in early literacy, numeracy, problem-solving skills, and has developed a strong interest in art, books, puzzles, and memory games. Chandler's has been instrumental in helping her regulate and express her emotions, and her confidence has flourished since joining the school. In comparison to a year ago, our daughter's sharing skills have exhibited wonderful improvement. She demonstrates patience and has formed lasting friendships that bring her joy every day. We couldn't have found a more perfect school for our daughter. We feel confident and secure when we drop our child off at Chandler's, knowing she's safe, loved, cared for, and in a nurturing learning environment.

We suddenly lost our nanny and were scrambling for care when the school had just opened--and we were lucky enough to be one of their very first families. From day one, we felt embraced, supported, and cared for in a way that exceeded all expectations. Our son just graduated from Chandler's and is heading into kindergarten not only confident and excited, but already reading. He was accepted into an excellent private school, and I have no doubt that Chandler's nurturing environment and thoughtfully designed curriculum played a huge role in preparing him. The teachers are warm, engaging, and truly see every child. The director runs the school with such intentionality--making sure the meals are always fresh, organic, and nutritious. The facility itself is immaculately clean and beautifully maintained. You can tell that everything, from the schedule to the classroom setup, is created with early childhood development philosophies in mind. Our younger daughter still attends, and I'm always blown away by the care and quality of education. She has weekly science lessons, cooking projects, and physical activities all seamlessly woven into her day. So much of the learning is hands-on and joyful--my kids often don't want to leave when I come to pick them up! We are endlessly grateful for Chandler's Preschool. It's been a home, a school, and a community for our family--and we can't recommend it highly enough.
