Growing up I was a little buddy in the big buddy program after my family did in-home house for the third and final time. Now I have the rewarding opportunity to give back and be a big buddy myself. I am still waiting to be matched with my big buddy so my wife and I decided to volunteer at the beach day event this past Saturday. We were paired with Curtis and it was an exciting day filled with face painting, hamster ball races, fishing, surf lessons, sand castle building and arts and crafts. This non-profit organization is wonderful way for kids' ages 4-18 to have positive adult remodels and get out within the community.

An Asus Mini motherboard (about $70 retail) with a slow, dated CPU. I ended up with an out-of-date entry level PC with 2 USB ports!!??? Even though they used my new PSU, GPU and cables I received $0 credit. When the PC was delivered, I was expecting a professional installation. What I got was a sloppy, inept job: Cables were left tangled in a knot on the floor - software was left only partially installed. The worst part was I was presented with an $800 bill that exceeded by almost double what I was quoted after sizable 4 digit deposit. I was so intimidated by the presence of their employee inside my home, that I handed him my CC. (I have since initiated a case against YCF for that $800 bill. I did not seek a return of my 4 digit deposit.) After returning the MB and CPU to YCF, I hired Computer Warriors to build the PC that I was promised. I should have started with this friendly, professional, company.

They cut out and removed my old lawn, raked and leveled the yard, put down new topsoil, fertilized and then proceeded to lay 17 pallets of St Augustine sod. Then to complete the job, they rolled the entire job and removed all the little debris from the property. It made me tired just watching them. During the process, my friend fell ill, and Courtney the other employee at the storage facility made sure to come out with several bottles of cold water and help Andrew with getting all of my belongings out of our moving truck. These reviews are all lies. This center should be helping people but instead they treat everyone with disrespect. Our night time manager Reece has been arrested for selling drugs. Nikki night time volunteer uses foul language and lunges her body on other staff members and residents. She picks and chooses whom she wants to help. The new volunteer darnel don't know how to spell it. He has joined forces to act like a fool with Nikki. So now he curses and acts just like Nikki as they make rude comments to residents and data ill do whatever the hell I want. The day and night managers calls everyone children. Belittling our situation more. Joann. Debbie. Tim. Pick and choose who gets bus passes when residents ask. They do not care if you just start a job and need assistance til u get paid. They say no. A girl hurt her foot she had to walk to shelter they wouldn't give her pass. A handicap woman wanted to take papers to apartment she found in her own cause case workers. Joe and Danielle can't seem to find anyone a home. Yet they have unlimited resources. Social services and her doctor found woman apartment. Yet still good shepherd won't give out a bus pass for good cause. Another woman kept telling case worker Danielle she smelt gas in building. They didn't listen. She kept complaining and finally it was found two burners were expelling gas. Danille case worker screwed up handicap woman moving into her home. Handicap woman went 3 times to apt Signed papers and was ready to get keys. Case worker messed it up for them. A company sent a letter to shelter saying I hired one of the people at the shelter but could you get them work boots. Its required. Tim day manager would not give them to the person. Yet they have boxes of shoes.and done nothing to help.. Nikki at night wouldn't give one girl a bag to keep her clothes in but turned around and gave someone else a bag in front of other girl. They here ever one around like cattle and speak to us all like shit. Threatening us with they will throw us out. Just about every staff member is rude and their own communication line is completely detached. They all need to be fired or quit because they have no compassion for humankind. They have become tired .annoyed.detached from being able to provide care and assistance. Our case works are by far snotty attitudes. Pretty much ill do it if and when I feel like it. Its like their tolerance of people has reached rick bottom. My suggestion is case workers need to be rotated because they are completely miserable even when they meet a new resident. Danielle was completely treating me like my life was in her control and she didn't care... NEXT was her attitude. U can't sleep in their. Not even if your sick or handicap. U sleep from 8 pm to 6 am. One girl had bronchitis. She asked for a lighter chore cause she just got out of hospital and didn't feel good. The woman wanted to give her same chore but in morning. Girl said well then. No I'm not doing it then. Both the woman Nikki and Danielle case worker wrote sick girl up saying she refused to do chores and threatened her they would throw her out. Someone needs to replace the foul mouth inconsiderate uncompassionate staff members. All the residents feel this way. Enough to call the media on them. Joann stays in her office and or is out. She has been giving plenty if discrepancies of problems that we all have and has not settled any disputes I have had or anyone else. Besides being not collecting all information about a situation before she makes a desicion. She makes one without the knowledge of what was giving to all her staff members. She don't collect and she doesn't assess the situations properly. She hides behind her door and never see her emerge. Debbie put a blind on her door too. She might listen. But the info you give her for Joann never becomes finished . unresolved. I WILL TELL YOU WHO IS HELPING THESE PEOPLE.... GOD IS. God has made sure so many got jobs this month of December. I've witnessed it. God must be upset at what is happening here in this place. This place is exactly like jail. But. The prisoners get to lay down... We don't. And they treat us all like crap. Someone needs to release these people cause they are unable to help . its so sad. The best people who I witness that can share compassion to other humans is Nick. Kyle. And one sweet black lady that works at night. They are civil and helpful and not rude. .GOODSHEPHERD US SHAMEFUL...we are not dogs. We are not sum. We are not cattle!
