I was really skeptical because I didn't like the look. All 'pączki' were rather flat and on the smaller side. The cost was 3 zł each. We bought a bunch and the lady made a pretty, old style package for us. On our way home we noticed oily stains on the paper which obviously meant these are going to be an oily. What a surprise after my first bite, I felt nothing but pleasure. The aroma of topping, dough and rosehip marmalade were outstanding. Bite after bite, I thought I was eating too fast, but it was so tasty and irresistible. The oily part added some moisture but it wasn't heavy at the same time.
