I called VEG ER for Pets in Stevenson Ranch, and even though they had the medicine, both the doctor and staff refused to give me even a ballpark estimate of the cost. Because of that, I chose not to go there and I wouldn't recommend them, not happy of their response. I brought my cat--who was in severe pain--to Dr. Gooda at Arroyo Vista, and the experience was completely different. He explained the procedure, the cost, and what to expect. The staff understood my fear and stress, and they treated my cat with genuine care and compassion. My cat was a rescue I found at 3 months old, and he's now 3 years old and part of my family. Arroyo Vista treated him like family too. I now have a new veterinarian for my cat and my two dogs. They care more about the animals than about charging high fees, and I am deeply grateful for everything they did. I highly recommend Arroyo Vista Veterinary Hospital -- they are an AMAZING team. Communication, consistency, and professionalism did not meet my expectations. Based on my experience, I would suggest others carefully consider their options when choosing care for their pets.

It was a relief knowing she was finally receiving proper care. They treated her as best as they could and administered medications other hospitals we took her to all the days prior didn't bother offering. She unfortunately did not respond to the medications, she was already so ill. We brought her back first thing in the morning. Dr Slaton and his team made her last moments on earth peaceful for all of us. I am grateful to now know about this practice and will be bringing my future pets to see Dr. Slaton. I am normally someone who goes out of my way to leave kind reviews. I do not write this lightly,…read morebut I am genuinely horrified by the veterinary care my dog Emma received from Dr. Mendoza. Emma is my medical-alert dog and has been by my side through everything. What happened was not one questionable call. It was a repeated pattern of serious symptoms being dismissed, misdiagnosed, or inadequately treated. The most serious failure involved her limp. I brought Emma to Dr. Mendoza twice because she was limping. I specifically said it seemed unusual and that I believed something was wrong. At one appointment, I even said, "You know it is bad when a Golden Retriever is showing pain." He shrugged and made another comment about aging. No X-rays were taken. I scheduled a third follow-up before we left for our house in Idaho for the summer, but canceled because I had completely lost faith in his judgment after being dismissed twice. Unfortunately, I was right. Our Idaho veterinarian immediately ordered X-rays. They showed severe destruction of Emma's ulna near her elbow. So much bone has been destroyed that our veterinarian warned Emma is at significant risk of snapping her elbow. We are now testing whether the cause is cancer or a serious infection. This was not normal aging. Emma had a catastrophically damaged and profoundly painful bone. Basic imaging would have shown that something was terribly wrong. Instead, my sweet dog continued walking on it in horrific pain. This was not the only failure. Emma developed bright red, severely inflamed skin that was hot to the touch and clearly uncomfortable. Dr. Mendoza asked, "Have you tried giving her a bath?" Yes, my dog is bathed. Our Idaho veterinarian immediately noticed both the active inflammation and brown discoloration covering Emma's stomach. She explained that the brown areas were post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, consistent with skin that had been chronically or repeatedly inflamed. The combination of hot, bright red skin and widespread pigment changes should have prompted concern. She prescribed MicoHex+Triz, and Emma was dramatically better within three days. Emma also had hair loss and irritation beneath her chin and along her lips. Dr. Mendoza told me it was likely a flat tumor. He discussed removing it, warned that Emma's jaw might look abnormal afterward, and said I might need a plastic surgeon to minimize the damage. Our Idaho veterinarian recognized it as a common moisture- and saliva-related problem consistent with lip-fold dermatitis. A medicated wipe began resolving it almost immediately. What had been presented as a possible tumor requiring potentially disfiguring surgery was treated as a common skin condition. Emma also had recurring ear infections that were not improving. I kept bringing her back because the odor and symptoms persisted. I was repeatedly given ear wash, but no medication that resolved the problem. Our Idaho veterinarian prescribed medicated treatment, and within days the smell was gone and her ears were clearly improving. These were not subjective disagreements. Her limp was dismissed as aging; X-rays showed catastrophic bone destruction and a risk of snapping her elbow. Her inflamed skin was reduced to whether she needed a bath; medication improved it within three days. Her ear infections persisted with ear wash alone; medicated treatment improved them within days. The supposed tumor began resolving with a medicated wipe. I do want to give Dr. Mendoza credit where it is due. He agreed to perform ovary-sparing spays on my female Golden Retrievers after discussing current breed-specific research concerning increased cancer risks associated with traditional spaying in female Goldens. I appreciated his willingness to consider updated research and provide a hormone-sparing option. But one informed decision does not outweigh what happened with Emma. I strongly support conservative veterinary medicine. I do not want unnecessary testing, excessive medication, or invasive treatment. But conservative care is not dismissive care. Taking an X-ray after two visits for an unexplained limp is basic care. Properly treating persistent ear infections is basic care. Investigating painful, hot, visibly inflamed skin is basic care. Emma has spent her life taking care of me. She deserved far better than to endure severe bone pain, chronic skin inflammation, itching, and recurring ear discomfort because her symptoms were repeatedly minimized or inadequately treated. This was not a small failure. It was a horrific failure of veterinary care. I would never entrust one of my animals to this practice again

I've been taking my dogs to Skyline Animal Hospital for the past two years. Every visit, I've…read morereceived kindness, patience, and amazing care from both Dr. Messri and Dr. Cyrus as well as their support staff. This morning, I had to bring my 18-year-old dog, Sunny, to be put to sleep. I was very emotional and I was placed in a room shortly after our arrival so we could have privacy. Sunny had late stage kidney disease but for the past year, Skyline provided us with excellent care. They were always available for questions and allowed me to come in on short notice for multiple appointments. They didn't immediately push me to see a special internal medicine doctor, which would have prolonged Sunny's suffering as well as my own stress. The Skyline staff was with me every step of the way. I can't thank Dr. Messri enough for his kindness today. He explained everything clearly and was so gentle to Sunny as she passed. I can tell Dr. Messri, Dr. Cyrus, and the staff work really hard and truly care about their patients. I look forward to receiving care for my other dog, Mona, for many years to come.

I decided to do so to share my experience and allow an opportunity for growth. I wanted to be proactive so I am thankful this wasn't an emergency. My pup has extreme allergy issues. I recently moved to So Cal from No Cal and started a new vet relationship. I explained to Dr. C what the pups experience had been and what I needed. I thought that went well. Scheduled a follow up visit to check in and review protocol as this is when his allergies take a bad turn. I specifically requested Dr c again and was told to come on a Tuesday. I arrived 10 mind ahead of appt to give them time to check me in and to be respectful of their time. First - Dr C wasn't even scheduled to work that day. It appears they may have double booked as there was another couple waiting with their pup. We both were taken to a room and the other couple were seen right away. I waited over half an hour and nothing. When I stepped out to ask if the vet tech could at least vaccinate the pup that seemed to throw everyone for a loop. Please no it is a large and appears to be quiet office. Many people seem to have not a lot going on and it appeared as if I may be disturbing then rather that being a paying customer with a request. When after standing around and nothing seemed to be happening other than just wait around. I thought this wouldn't work and left and got what seemed not of pure intent with a have a good day. If you are a parent you know what I mean when I say tone wasn't genuine. Now I am not angry just disappointed at people lack if care and kindness. I chose to drive further looking for a responsive and kind business. For me, this is not it. I was able to start service with a new vet within 2 miles from where I live. My message, be kind but expect the same in return. If not, go somewhere else. That is all we can do.

They are remarkable communicators, and I love that they do not try to up sell you. They respect your boundaries and financial health, they never try to push or guilt trip you. Best of all, they do not tell you wildly outrageous ideas on what might be the cause of x, y, z. Every time we have met with Dr. Seigal whether it is in person or over the phone, we've always felt he was such a generous, gracious person. We never felt rushed. When I ask his staff a question and they don't know the answer, they are always honest and polite and will tell you they don't know and will proceed to place you on a brief hold so they can get the correct information. The staff has a good attitude and assume that you are a caring owner. When Dr. Siegal says he'll call you or do anything, he always holds his word and he even called us when he was out of town. The facility is extremely clean, the cleanest vet I've ever been to. There are so many reasons why you should consider Dr. Siegal and his team, these are just a few. Plenty of parking in their private shared lot and street parking. Very cute stores, restaurants, and fitness yoga studios nearby so if you are coming from further away and need to leave your pet for a few hours you can totally patronize some of the other local businesses. Overall 10/10 experience. I'm glad we took a chance on this vet. To be fair we had exhausted many of the other highly rated vets in the San Fernando valley area and none of them cut it. Are you paying a little more to see the doctor here and get the tests and other services? Yes, probably a little more. However, for me personally, it's completely justified because of the integrity and seamless experiences we've had. Lastly, every single time we have gone in for our appointment, we haven't had to wait longer than 5 minutes. Also they are always giving you a warm greeting which I literally cannot say about any of the other vets. Last little detail, but really there's no detail too small, I have not seen any of the staff doom scroll or look checked out. When they are on the clock, they appear to be working and they seem dedicated. Little things like that have a major impact on professionalism and trust. If I see anyone on the clock doom scrolling or just super engaged on their cell phone it is 100% a red flag and a sign that they don't care, aka my sign to leave a business and not return. I want to spend my hard earned money on places that are invested and care. Dr. Siegal and his staff seem happy and I believe a happy staff is a more efficient staff. It is a safe space, you can openly share your concerns, wants and needs- they are listening with open hearts and they genuinely care. Sadly I've been to probably more than eight different vets and none of them have even come close to Dr. Siegal. Because of those awful experiences, I was starting to lose hope. But I knew from our first phone call with Dr. Siegal's office, when I was literally picking their brain and asking 20+ questions and complaining about past experiences, I knew they were the one because they never made me feel rushed, I never felt judged, I never felt unappreciated and I felt they were truly listening and caring. I took my 15-year, 8-month-old dog "Champ" to the clinic for a rabies antibody (titer) test required for international travel. Dr. Kiumarsi knew my dog's age and medical history, yet no one explained that, because of his advanced age, there was a possibility his antibody level might be too low to pass the test or discussed giving him a rabies booster before performing the expensive titer test. I paid nearly $600 for the test, and the result came back negative. Only afterward was I told to bring my dog back for a rabies booster, wait another month, and then pay for a second titer test. This delayed my travel plans to Turkey by almost four weeks and increased my expenses. My frustration is not that the test was negative--it is that I was never informed beforehand about the risk of a failed result or the option of administering a booster first. Had I been given that information, I could have made an informed decision and potentially avoided unnecessary cost and delay. I expected honest guidance and recommendations that considered both my dog's wellbeing and my time and financial investment. Unfortunately, that was not my experience at Townsgate Pet Hospital. I had to fill out some additional paperwork after arriving and then waited for a room. They are a smaller pet hospital, so it was pretty low and under-staffed. This means we waited about another 20 minutes to be seen by the doctor, which can be difficult if your pet is impatient and/ or in pain. Dr. K was really nice, though, and addressed our issue and any concerns, giving us an expectant time frame for recovery and what to see over the next couple of weeks. It took about 10 minutes or so to check out due to the amount of people there, which were only a few, and only one receptionist. With that in mind, they were fast for a smaller team, so I would just have a little more patience coming here; but then again, a lot of vets and pet hospitals have long wait times. The prices weren't bad and their exam fee was around $70 for the doctor to diagnose, which is pricy, but pretty average pricing in Westlake Village. The medicine was expensive (as always) BUT I didn't break the bank - which was a nice change. I will most likely be coming back here with my pup the next time we need something!
