Just because it's in there middle of an industrial district, this is not just a quick place for workers to get lunch. A combination coffee shop and thai restaurant, it excels at both. Firstly the coffee. These guys know their stuff, and easily have the best coffee in Shepparton. They roast their own beans and put a lot of care into it. Their rotated beans are so highly regarded that they actually sell them to a lot of the other cafes around Shepparton. Next, the food. First, don't expect a menu of a Thai restaurant. They have a menu with about five thai dishes, which constantly changes to keep it interesting. Very full of flavour and with flavours and dishes that go beyond what most people have tried and thai restaurants. Once you go you'll see want this strange out of the way place is always so popular.

My on complaint was that we had to chase up our own cutlery as there was none to be seen and no salt and pepper on the tables. The meals were good and for the price which seem expensive were quite big. My partner had lamb cutlets and there were four cutlets and a good serve of veggies. I had the beast burger and chips. And it really was a beast I had to push it over and eat it bit by bit. My friend had the Tex mex Parmy and it was also a good size with sides of chips and a couple of dressings. Was impressed with the meals and would happily come back especially on the two for one night just to save a dollar so I can spend it at another restaurant to further my yelp experiences.

So one once your put upstairs your an after thought and sitting near the toilets is also not nice. Took us 20 minutes to get a bottle of water to drink. When taking our order the staff couldn't use the ordering system they were provided as it kept freezing up. We order veal parmy and tortellini alla matricana. After waiting an hour we asked how much longer it would be and we're told it wouldn't be long. There were others that were also waiting for long periods of time for their meals. After waiting an hour and 20 minutes we rang the front desk and asked how long it would be and were told it would be soon then they rudely hung up on us. Our meal came after an hour and a half. We had no staff members seeing if we wanted any more drinks or apologetic about how long it was taking and the staff were all standing around doing nothing. The meals were wrong when we finally got them so that was the turning point. We got up and walked out and cancelled our meals they did give us the garlic bread for nothing and the owners were very apologetic and offered us a voucher to return which I refused. Won't be going back any time soon. Key observation were that they had obviously opened the doors too quickly and had not had enough time to train there staff or properly test the order systems. The place looked cheap and nasty and I would be surprised if they last 12 months before closing unless they improve vastly.

The staff are friendly and attentive and the place usually has a few people in it. The food is not bad and a little pricey but you have to take into account the time it takes to cook slow cooked meats so there moist and soft to eat. My meal was nice but the only gripe I have is that it came in a plastic basket and the paper under the burger stuck to the bun once wetted by the juices. The serviettes were thinner than one ply toilet paper and were a waste of time unless you used 5 at a time. All in all I would return especially for the coffee.
