Woods were made of real wood, persimmon if you wanted to go expensive - and the term "hitting it on the screws" was because the screws held the faceplate in place. The balls were wound with a nylonish string material into a ball encapsulated in a single cover that you could put a crack in that looked like a smile when you hit it hard and incorrectly - AKA Skulling It. This shop has all that around back the small ship for $10.00 a pop, I had a fun time with them, a walk down the fairways of memories - when life was easy and clubs were unforgiving - like pulling a screaming tee shot two fairways left, gosh I miss those days with my Wilson Ultra Tour driver (w/ Firestick shaft). Joe will rent you clubs for the day, weekend or the week at a very good price - he's got all the current golf equipment for the high, mid and low handicapper.. His knowledge on club fitting was superb and I truly believe I got the best fit for my game as my handicap will attest too . (Who golfs in Ontario? It's laughable), the phone call kept cutting out, without ringing, after calling three times. So I'm obviously disappointed but I find it more comical and I'll be sure to share this clown show with every single person I get paired up with when I tee it up and pipe one down the middle and they ask, where did you get those. I'll start with "I'll tell you where I didn't go and here's why". It'll be my pleasure to do so. I'll just go to the smaller shops around town, they answer emails, perhaps not big on social media but answer the phones too. I've no doubt this company will not last and should not last.

Fun to see peeps out swinging their clubs. The clubhouse has good food at very fair prices. Breakfast sandwich was tasty (can the bun be toasted?). A public course they try to keep prices reasonable and have specials and youth programs. Come hit some balls, grab a bite, or go for walk! Or rent a cart and go for a ride!!!! There is also a pro-shop with Bobby Jones gear. Tees. There are plans to tie the nature trail into 17th Street Park and the Legacy Trail. A wildflower area would be wonderful. Forrest Whittaker from IfAS at Twin Lakes Park can help. Also some volunteer days to pull caesar weed and Brazilian pepper along the nature trail would be good. Plant some native wildflowers????
