This store is bullshit trying to practice playing golf but since I'm under the age of 16, they kicked me out

I stopped shopping at Golf Galaxy about 7 months ago due to poor service. It was so bad I contacted corporate. This store has a problem with providing service to people of color (black). Just like the 1st time their team member made me feel it was a waste of time to assist me. Went in to purchase a travel cover and the only one they had was their display. Asked team member if they had more. Was told no and he just walked off. Never checked inventory or suggest another option, just bolted. Only reason I want back was to use a gift card. So I order online, order shipped next day. Guess what store it shipped from, Sarasota the one I visited. Where there is smoke their is fire! read more

Great place. Stuff was great. Went to get my son a new golf bag and get my putter grip replaced. They asked how we many days a week we golf and They didn't try to sell us on the most expensive stuff knowing we are golfing just to have fun and spending time together. They were very knowledgeable as well read more

Experience here varies. It is the closest golf store to us so we tend to go here. Customer service is hit or miss, Jay is very helpful. On the down side, they send out coupons through the mail but when you go to buy a club they do not honor it at the register. read more

My son went int to try a putter. John acused him of stepping on a putter which he did not do, then asked him is he was mentally challenged, asked him if he knew how much the putter was and got hold of his shoulder and marched him out the store. My son asked for an apolgy and he was told it would be in the mail. My son is 13. A minor. How dare you touch him and verbally abuse him. Avoid this store at all costs. read more

I visited Golf Galaxy to purchase golf balls. I was looking for Pinnacle, which they no longer carry. The man working there recommended the new Callaway Chrome Soft X balls for $35 a dozen. I told him that was too much for my game, and I needed something cheaper. He made a disgusted noise and walked away! If I wasn't interested in buying the balls he recommended, he did not have any interest in helping me. I know he is only one person working in the store, but I will probably not go back. I will be buying new clubs soon and I will definitely not go there for a large purchase. read more

This is an excellent golf store. The staff, including its Manager, Paul, are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I recently had a large number of trade-ins as well as a purchase of a new set of Ping G700 irons, and the service and assistance provided by Paul and his staff was outstanding. Extremely helpful staff. My son, who is 14, went in to purchase a new driver and the Manager, Paul, asked Tony to help us. Tony spent at least 30 minutes with us on the golf simulator discussing the differences in clubs and even working with my son on a minor adjustment to his grip. We bought the TaylorMade driver that was on sale and we also had a $50 email coupon. Great deal! Great service! Great staff! Great store! read more

Chris was extremely helpful! He helped my boyfriend find great new golf shoes, helped him find the perfect grip and shaft for his driver, and found him a great putter. Chris analyzed his swing to make sure he could make the best recommendations. Spending hundreds of dollars was made easy because he made us comfortable with how knowledgeable and patient he was with us. I wish I could leave zero stars. First off getting someone to help me in the store was hard in itself. It was like I was inconveniencing them by asking them to sell me a thousand dollar plus set of clubs. Then after the fitting process was done which took two trips to the store because the first time I went the gentleman left in the middle of it because his shift was over and nobody came over to help afterwards. I received the wrong set of clubs in the mail. When I took them back to the store to return them and receive the correct ones the store manager Mr. Nguyen was extremely rude to me in front of other customers. The most unpleasant and unprofessional consumer experience I've ever had. I will never buy from a GG again too many other options. It's a shame because it's close to my house and I use to get all my golf supplies from there. Looks like it's pga super store or smaller Mom and pop stores from here on out. Do yourself a favor and don't set foot into this place. If you want a proper fitting experience you won't get it. If you want kindness good luck and don't even think about professionalism. I'm in sales myself and if I treated my customers this way I wouldn't have any. read more
