We did not stay at this hotel. That being said, our friends (a group of men on a golf holiday) thought it was pleasant enough. The hotel only offers single beds, but that worked well for the lads anyway. The reception is clean and modern, and all the room keys have a cute little golf ball keychain. The bar is big and really cool feeling. The restaurant (in the same room as the bar) is high-ceiling end with low-hanging lights to give a warming atmosphere. On the wall is a massive fireplace that would have really added to ambiance, but the woman behind the bar told us that she and the young man who were working were city-folk (from Paris) so they were horrible at lighting fires. We played 18 holes of golf (it's a very long and carried terrain course to walk) and then had lunch in the restaurant. The golf course was great, but we played in November so the entire course was super saturated. The greens are interesting, pretty well kept, and tiny. Although I'm sure the entire course is better kept in the summer when it's dry enough to drive a tractor mower on, it could have used a bit of TLC (their were no fringes cut around greens, the fairways were very shaggy, the bunkers were full of water and not raked, etc.) that being said, we really like the course and look forward to going back when the weather is better. As for lunch, we were a group of 16 so we must have had a deal, but we had 3 courses for 13€. The food was nothing special, some of the main dishes were undercooked (chicken), but to be served lunch in France at 4pm is a feat in and of itself so, I'm not complaining. read more
