Unreasonably hipster cafe in this small town. The service is questionable, the opening hours are sporadic and the food service times are even more so (only pizzas on Friday lunch time, no food at all 11-11:30 and they won't even take an order). After all that, I really want to dislike the place. But, the most annoying thing is that it's among the best coffee in town (as long as you like darker roasts) and the food is often very nice (though their 'signature' sourdough breads are all burnt, and there's no gluten free bread available). This place is adorable with good food and nice staff. It's my friend's favorite place for coffee and we were pleased with our lunches today. We saw the seafood pasta go out and we wished we'd ordered that so you should try it. I had the Mediterranean lamb dish which was a nice bread and dip style dish albeit perhaps a but bitter near the end (I maybe didn't mix it well) and my friend enjoyed her tuna pie. read more

Overrated. Tasty...but got the order wrong. We wanted to NSW Gov Meal vouchers to support a local business.... they have limited use and refused the voucher ... a business that is not enabling locals to support locals! They will not split the bill and patronising when questioned. read more

A must visit in Armidale, but they are CASH ONLY. Gorgeous café + bakery. They roast their pen beans & bake their own bread and sweet treat daily (but get in quick! The Portuguese egg tarts & croissants sell out quickly!). They also use Bonsoy! Menu changes regularly, and Fridays the wood fire oven is heated up for the most amazing pizzas. Always excellent coffee and friendly service. They bake all bread in the woodfired oven as well as pizzas on Fridays. Ordered the pikelets for brekky and they were huge and delicious. A nice punch of flavour from poached stone fruit and honey and some soothing marscapone. So good I came back for lunch! Had the potato, garlic and tallegio pizza for lunch and it was delicious.
