My oldest started when she was just 2 and went all the way through vpk. My middle child is currently on the same path. My youngest started at few months shy of 1 years old. This has been the best experience as being a parent and trusting someone to watch your child isn't always the easiest. They also offer an open door policy which I love. A week before thanksgiving they do a eat in day where you get to come in and eat "thanksgiving" with your child in class. This was not my choice of La Petite establishments, but I bared with it until the actions of the staff/director became too negative for me to feel comfortable having my child their. I am writing this review to formally raise serious concerns about the care and safety provided at…read morethis daycare. During an already traumatic time for my family--when we experienced a house fire--I arranged for a former teacher (someone my children were familiar with) to pick them up to ensure their safety. Instead of showing understanding, the director responded by removing my children from the program. This lack of compassion and professionalism during an emergency situation was extremely concerning. More importantly, I have ongoing safety concerns regarding my child's care: My son experienced two allergic reactions while attending this daycare. He was given food that the daycare had been clearly and repeatedly informed he is allergic to, which is a serious health risk. My child frequently came home with bites, marks, and bruises without proper explanation or incident reports. In addition to these concerns, I question whether the facility is meeting basic safety standards. From my understanding, the center is operating without a sprinkler system, which raises serious fire safety concerns--especially given what my family has just gone through. Given these issues, I feel it is important for other parents to be aware and for the appropriate authorities to review this facility. Child safety, proper supervision, and adherence to health and safety protocols should always come first.
