When I get back to my shop, my employee tells me what happened, and I call their shop immediately. The lady who I speak with on the phone says that they just arrived at the shop. So she asks them if they had just come back from my shop, and they say yes, that they took the charger, but were looking for a battery they left here. When I said that the charger is mine, and there were no batteries left behind, they began to argue, I could hear them in the background. I said, "listen, I know they were looking for a battery they left behind, so they had no right to take my charger, can I please have it back? I've had it for almost 5 years now, and I know what I have, and what is missing." She said that I could come pick it up from their shop! (they also broke our radio, but did not tell us! We didn't notice until we started moving things back where they belonged, and that's when we saw what they had done.)

As a proud Texan who has served and worn my uniform proudly, I value honesty and fairness above all else. When I booked their services, I had no idea that they were over an hour away. When we did a google search for Hereford this company showed up as if they were local. We had a overpowering sewer stench in the building only that added to our sense of urgency. In my desperation to take care of my employees, I unknowingly booked Scottco while my wife had already booked another company. As a small company with only two employees, the $420 trip charge was quite devastating for us. I believe in compensating others for their time and would never want to take advantage of anyone. I understand that mistakes happen, and I am willing to pay a fair amount for the services rendered. However, I was taken aback when I was told that the original charge was almost $600 as if I needed to be happy with the current. I believe in dealing with companies that operate with integrity and put their heart into their operations. I own up to my mistake and am willing to pay what is fair. I contacted the company and made an appointment for the following day. The plumber was prompt and after examining the sinks told me the problem and offered 2 remedies along with the price for each.
