I took a chance and went with GimenoBrown Photography and am extremely happy with the results. We brought our three daughters and took family photos. One of our daughters was graduating high school that year so we brought her gown and she quickly changed so we could squeeze in some pics of her too. Allexis was perfectly fine with this and tried to hurry so we could still make it in about an hour. Her website allows you to download in high resolution so the pictures come out looking amazing. We downloaded everything and printed at Walgreens for about $20. The quality came out amazing and we have them saved to our computer. Thinking about using them for Xmas cards also. Allexis kept the whole shoot fun. She was able to get the girls and us interacting and it was really a good time. My husband and I enlisted Nicky's photography services to convert color photos to black and white…read morefor a gallery wall. BUT, it was more involved than that, and he delighted in the project to obtain the end result beyond our expectations. Nicky used his hocus-pocus on the originals submitted to him. Because the size of the photos were not all uniform to fit the frames, for several, Nicky had to add to the background. Moreover, after converting to black & white, because some photos did not translate well, to emphasize, for instance, the subject in a photo, he cropped it, with an eye of an expert. Furthermore, as needed, he touched some up by adding an element of interest like making a rainy sky more dramatic or changing a water bottle to a martini glass and other techniques to enhance the photos as necessary-where it made sense. Also, for the frames, he placed the photos in the center of the glass down to 1/16 of an inch-perfection! Nicky is easy to work with. His communication is excellent. His enthusiasm for the project showed up in his work, as the photos turned out outstanding and the wall looks spectacular. Where to begin with Desiree, I'm a Federal Highway Project Engineer and am very frugal with money to begin with, in addition I am very attentive to details, professionalism, overall value for money. I was recommended to hire a photographer from my sister for my proposal, it was my girlfriend's dream to see Sequoia Redwood Trees, I was originally going to set up my phone and act like I was taking a picture, record it, then propose. After reluctantly agreeing to look through quotes, I put out a request and she was one of the professionals I matched with. After a day or two of talking with different photographers, the idea of having a surprise photographer there for my proposal began to grow on me. I can pay attention to making the moment happen while someone is there to take pictures and make them come out as best as they possibly can? I have one shot to do this and she will want to remember this in the best way possible, so why not? After eliminating a few professionals here and there, I noticed Desire really delved into what I WANTED and tailored a package towards me, she was VERY flexible and came up with ideas when I didn't know what to do (very helpful). She continued constant communication with me, even through times I put the planning on the backburner(took awhile to reply, replies from me were short and seemed uninterested when I was really busy with work and life) and others would have quit talking to me. She was patient and remembered every detail I wanted each time I talked. This proposal was to take place in either Yosemite NP or Sequoia NP in late September of 2020. About a week before (I was already en route to location with hotels booked, flight home booked, etc.) the parks shut down due to wildfires and unhealthy air pollution. I told Desiree and she offered me a full refund but had ALSO done legwork WITHOUT ME ASKING (which was huge as I was with my girlfriend 24/7 at this point and was hoping to keep this a surprise). She found Calaveras Big Tree State Park which had the Redwoods, she had a spot picked out as she went ahead and scouted the area, and planned to bring a second photographer, she called ahead to the state park and they had no anticipation of closing anytime soon as the fires weren't near there. It was not their busy season, they didn't require reservations, etc. Desiree was a photographer, a travel guide, a friend that could be relied on no matter what happened, she was a lifesaver that pulled the surprise dream proposal together. After proposing we walked the entire park, and she hiked with us carrying all of her professional camera gear, different lenses, etc. She made Kiki feel very comfortable which was highly important to me as well. I can go on, but I think if you are reading this far, you get the point. Yes the pictures were amazing, yes she edits all of her own pictures one by one, yes she has experience in filming hollywood movies, popular TV shows, and several other items that qualify her, but if you want a gamechanger that is reasonably priced, will follow through for you, and is a step above the rest, this is your girl right here.
