When it gets later into the evening, it's difficult to find food on Islay. The Golden Dragon is open until 10, which makes it one of the sole candidates on the island to grab something to eat right before getting wasted on scotch. I've had plenty of bad Chinese food in my day, but somehow I always manage to polish it all off. This is one of the exceptions. I couldn't force myself to eat more than a few bites. I got sweet and sour chicken, my friend ordered a beef dish, and we split fried rice. The sweet and sour chicken reeked of vinegar, and didn't disappoint with a heavy vinegar taste. The beef was in a sauce that I care not to remember. The rice I don't really recall because I was too busy trying to get the tasted of vinegar out of my mouth.
