In the beginning, the service was great, but over time I noticed a consistent decline in the scheduling and overall experience. I would see an available appointment, schedule it for my sons, and then receive a text that same day or the following day asking to change the appointment time. This happened approximately 4-5 times. What ultimately became my last straw was when we would come at the newly agreed-upon time, only to find another client already sitting in the chair. This happened twice, which resulted in me and my sons having to wait much longer than we had anticipated. I understand that schedules can change and things happen, but repeatedly changing our appointments and then having us wait when we arrived at the rescheduled time was frustrating and inconvenient...especially when I had specifically scheduled an open appointment slot. I would rather someone simply tell me that they no longer want to provide haircuts for my sons than continue running us around in circles. I have always tipped for the service, so I'm not sure what the issue was. Manny did a good job on their hair and I appreciate that. However, because of the repeated scheduling issues and the way our last few appointments were handled, I can no longer recommend his services.

Moved back to the area recently and started wearing a flattop.. not a cut that every barber has mastered. Based on two reviews, I gave them a shot on a whim on a Saturday. Minimal wait time, and I got David. He has cut lots of flats, but even admitted that Laura is the "Flat top queen". Well if that's the case, he's at the very least the "Duke" because he did an outstanding job. Was very thorough to get it standing up straight before he began cutting (always a good sign) and then I would bet he cut it at least three times to get it perfect. I was thrilled. To my surprise, he wasn't satisfied with how my cowlicks were looking in the back, so he had Laura tag in to get it extra perfect... where do you ever see someone 1) admit they could do better and 2) ask for help. I was blown away... and as I told them both "you could have fooled me, I thought it looked great before!" It was perfectly cut and perfectly flat. Will definitely return and both David and Laura are incredibly skilled with flattops. Highly recommend. Cut was $20, a bargain for the time and effort he put in.

My visit to Tonic was a truly refreshing break from the hectic realities of life to thanks to their upbeat, welcoming environment with a very genuine and engaging stylist (who heard exactly what I wanted and delivered it!). It is clear that Allison seems takes great pride in her work and emulates a strong confidence in her approach (seems well deserved!). Equally skilled and engaging, Allison was a true pleasure to spend time with and be styled by. I hope the very best for her in the year ahead. Another facet of this visit that stood out to me was the very clear affinity the stylists seem to have for one another with frequent shared laughs and dialogue. I have been going to Attilio's for probably 15 years now and would not trust my (perfectly coiffed)…read morehair to anyone else. This is what a barber shop is all about. There is no fluff and they give you a perfect haircut every time. Attilio, the owner of the shop, is a friendly, older Italian gentleman (with the accent to match), who has a steady hand and a time-perfected way of cutting hair. It's not like going to supercuts, where they use clippers (or a flowbie?) on your entire head or Lady Jane's where somehow sexy legs equate to a quality cut. Of course it's also not like going to a spa with a soak and scrub (perhaps a neck massage to cap it off). This is a gentleman's haircut: simple yet done to perfection (without a hint of irony). Everything is done with scissors and straight razors...the way it should be. To cap off the cut, he uses a straight razor and warm shaving cream to fade the hair on the back of your head. It is quite therapeutic. Add to this the quality conversation that always arises every time I go and you get the ideal haircut. While you're there ask Attilio about where to find imported Italian items (especially food items), and he will send you to the forgotten corners of Western New York and Canada. Now keep in mind Attilio is not the guy to go to if your looking for an avant garde style or coloring. This is a gentleman's barbershop that gives a gentleman's haircut, the kind of haircut that only comes by sticking to and mastering the traditional ways.

I wish I have known about him before this semester; however, it better late than never. Pricing is solid; he charged me $20 for a great cut.
