Dr. Peter Gold Orthodontics Review

Pros: The staff is patient through challenging situations, always cheerful, and seem to really enjoy their work. Every time I have been here, the space looks clean and well organized. My treatment was finished on time (18 months, just as was predicted).
Cons: Before beginning treatment, I was sent to a different office for x-rays which unfortunately (from speaking to people who have gotten treatment from other orthodontists), seem to be standard procedure. I felt uncomfortable with so many x-rays and am in the belief that the entire dental industry itself needs to be more conservative in this aspect.
Conclusion: I now have beautiful teeth. This orthodontist is at the top of his field because that is exactly where he belongs. If anyone has questions, leave me a comment on this review and I will be happy to respond.
More details about my experience: In 2009, my doctor recommended that I go see Orthodontist Dr. Peter Gold, as he was "like minded". I believe this meant with exceptional integrity and a certain level of advancement, so I made the appointment.
When I first arrived, I was greeted by a cheerful receptionist Jenn, she was attentive and enthusiastic. I was further impressed by the upscale and comfortable appearance of the office itself. The waiting room looks more like a living room, with individual leather chairs, and a large flat screen tv. There is free wifi and even an ipad for guests to use, although I never had the chance to enjoy it, as I never spent more than a couple of minutes in the waiting area (during the entire course of my treatment).
The next person I was greeted by was the doctor's assistant, Marcy, who had the same enthusiastic and warm disposition as Jenn. She answered some questions and we chatted and laughed for a bit before my consultation with the orthodontist.
When I met Dr. Peter Gold, he left an impression that seemed very honest and resonated with me. He was down to earth, in a good mood, and made me feel like an important client. Every time I have gone there since this day, the energy in this office has always been the same. Everyone seems genuine, happy to be there and they always address me by name. The work itself also consistently demonstrates an exceptional level of skill. Dr. Peter Gold is always "in the zone", he's really quite brilliant.
My experience lines up with what I had heard from an art therapist employed at Women's College Hospital. Dr. Peter Gold and his staff had done her braces too, years back, and she was very happy with her treatment. In our conversation she referred to him as "the best", "an artist" and encouraged me to follow through. I'm so glad I did because she was right!
My teeth look perfect! I only wish I had the opportunity to get orthodontics sooner. Although I must warn anyone wanting braces; once you have them in, it's a big responsibility! I was finding the upkeep to be somewhat challenging, and Dr. Gold told me that if I couldn't do it, then he would rather remove my braces than have any damage to my teeth. Despite the fact that this conversation was upsetting to me, it also showed me that he would prioritize my well being.
Of course, I already knew this by the thoroughly thoughtful, customized approach to the service I was receiving. Many things were considered before the course of action on my treatment was decided upon (including current lifestyle, future finances, etc).
Dr. Gold and his staff (including also Veronica, the hygienist) are the kind of people that raise the status quo, and make the world a better place to live in. I highly recommend them! When you get your orthodontic treatment here, you are supporting a philanthropic business that generously gives back to the community.
