So easy!!!! I planned a last-minute party here and we had a blast. I love how everything is included in the party package - bowling, shoes, food, and drinks. Our lanes were reserved and ready for us. Customer Service was great. So far, I have used this place twice for parties and I recommend it. I had a few issues about the process that need improvement. (1) Parties should not have to bring all of the kids to the counter for shoes and small balls. It would be better and more efficient to send one of your personnel to the party to verify heights (which they did for us, but is not the typical process). (2) Have separate lines for payment and shoes. During my party, I spent a lot of time waiting in long lines for shoes and balls. (3) Allow customers to make pizza topping and drink selections online instead of at the party. They ask for you to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time. Consider time spent waiting in line to get your lane assignment, decorating, greeting guests who also arrive a little early, getting shoes, and placing the food order. Just something to think about. Don't waste your time entering names and shoe sizes on the reservation They don't refer to it. read more

The manager was very unprofessional and rude. He yelled at my husband because the balls were stuck on the side from the children playing and he removed them because their employee never came out to remove them & then refused to put up the rails after we asked. We spent a total of $500 dollars and received poor customer service. I will never patronize this business again. I visited the bowling alley with my family, including my NINE YEAR OLD autistic niece, and unfortunately, we were disappointed that bumpers weren't allowed for individuals over 54 inches. This policy made it challenging for my brother to enjoy the experience fully. Inclusive measures are crucial, especially for those with special needs. It would be great if the bowling alley could reconsider and provide accommodations for a more inclusive and enjoyable environment instead of only having select times/days for "hyper bowling" which is completely inconvenient and not accommodating. Will never come back to be spoken to the way we were. UPDATE: After reading more into the comments and reviews posted by other visitors experiencing and expressing their dissatisfaction the response from the owner was not pleasing to read as he did not take responsibility for the complaints. During our visit we were not offered this "hyper bowling" experience after simply asking for bumpers to accommodate and allow my niece to have a great experience. We were simply told "sorry, rules are rules we cant do that". We even asked for the metal bowling ramp for kids and was told these were not available.... the bottom line is there were ZERO accommodations explained or made available to us during our experience. read more

Avoid. My son is disabled and they used to be very accommodating. Now refuse to let him use bumpers. Drive 35 minutes here just to have some unappreciative moron tell me he all the sudden not qualified to use them. Oh and yes. It is the same bumpers they use for hyper bowling that anyone can play. Owner can shove it. Got to listen to my son cry all the way home from what should have been a nice night thanks to your new asinine policy. Looks like other people have had this experience too. Unlike his response to the other review they offered us nothing except repeating their policy and following me around once I just asked for a refund since my son literally can't play a normal game. I could tell he wanted to kick us out but I was already leaving. Tons of places have rules, but guess what, they accommodate when it's common sense. Hide your kids. This is not a kid friendly business...at all. Lisa (from the Rutherford family that owns and operates Gold Cup according to their website) will eat their lunch and send them home crying. My 9 year old daughter went to a birthday party with 9 other girls the same age. The host requested bumpers for all 10 girls and the woman behind the counter (Lisa) singled out and told my daughter she couldn't have bumpers because my daughter was too tall. That's right, 1 of 10 girls was singled out at a birthday party for elementary girls (3rd and 4th graders). Needless to say, my daughter bowled two frames of gutter balls and ended up crying. My wife confronted them at the counter only to have them say it was a liability issue as posted on a sign. The sign said there were no exceptions. The limit is 54" for no bunkers, my daughter is less than 2" over the limit (see picture). Come on Gold Cup family! You can be a better human beings than this, especially since this is your personal business!! Way to go Bronze Cup Bowling...you're now third place behind the other bowling alley and the crappy base bowling alley. You made a rail thin 9 year old cry at a birthday party to prove a point as opposed to being a decent human being. You need to change your website where it states you've been in the business for 40 years and know how to have a good time, as you obviously don't. I guess money talks as my wife went up to the counter and told them she wanted to purchase two games on another lane and to put the bumpers up, which they did without question. After 20 years in WR and with two small kids with winter time birthdays, it's unfortunate we will not be able to utilize this bowling alley for any future parties. I can guarantee that will be the last dime Gold Cup sees from me. Update: I called and spoke to Tyler. He appeared to be completely understanding, and I'm appreciative of that. Only problem is I just got messaged the following from Seth H (one of their employees after calling Gold Cup and finding out that Seth works there on Saturday mornings) through Yelp, which lets me know that Tyler shared our conversation with other non-management employees rather than handling it himself. 9 reviews in 5 years with no responses in several years and I get this response in 1.5 hrs.: Seth H.: "Just a heads up most places have rules that employees have to go by. Its pretty crappy that you call out people for doing their jobs when they are only doing what they are told to do. Running a business cost money. Do you send one star reviews to Burger King because your daughter is to tall to play on their playground. People like you are what's wrong with America now a days. Thinking just because you spend money it make the world revolve around you. I can tell you need some Jesus in y'all's lives. Special needs parents beware. The owner made a new rule that my 9 yo special needs autistic son is too tall and can't have bumpers, when he grandma bowls down the lane and into the gutter without them. But with hyperbowling, even adults use the bumpers to purposefully ricochet balls off the bumpers. Explain that logic. We will be getting our money back from AMEX bc we were denied a refund. Thanks for making my son cry bc he has no idea what's going on. We've been here tons of times, never a problem....but the owner was there himself tonight and refused to provide accommodations. Loved this place!!! Having spent considerable time in the area, I'm wishing we'd discovered Gold Cup Bowling sooner. Tons of lanes, well lit and maintained, great, family-friendly music and atmosphere, clean restrooms and some of the best sweet potato fries I've had anywhere! The staff was super friendly and working hard to keep things running safely for everyone. There was plenty of distance between groups, staff wore masks, and I couldn't have felt better about having my parents spend over two hours there (there both over 65). There's an arcade that we didn't have time to visit but looked nice, especially if you have a younger group. Plenty of shoe sizes, balls to choose from and customizable scoreboards. Our family got a kick out of being able to take selfies from the screen to accompany our name on the scoreboard! Super affordable too. $4 for shoes and either $4 a game per player or $24 for a lane for an hour, up to 6 players. So we got two lanes for two hours for our group of eight and still spent less than $130, not including food. Food was reasonably priced and fried to order. All in all a great, fun experience and highly recommended! We will be back! read more

If I could leave NO STARS, I would. This place is terrible. It is disheartening that my 13 year old autistic brother could not bowl with bumpers due to some rule. There are no accommodations available at this establishment. Had I known this prior to paying, I would not have. First impression- this place is huge. Literally 50 lanes. F I F T Y. Extreme waste of money especially since there was a grand total of 9 people occupying the lanes. 7 of which were in my party. The bowling clerk was on a scale from Ryan Howard to Great...he was great. I stumbled upon the best bow of my life and I entirely credit this to the alley itself. They've got tons of lanes, a bar for the adults, league bowling, and even an arcade for the little kids that don't feel like bowling even though you dragged them their because they were crying and wouldn't stop until they were at a bowling alley. Nice, fairly new alley with all the expected trappings but not much else to bring in the entertainment-starved masses. I counted 40 lanes, which virtually guarantees they'll be able to handle any size crowd. There is a bar, snack area, sport shop and small arcade. Prices are a little higher than what I'm used to, but that could just be me. Overall, this is a great place for bowling enthusiast but maybe not so much for the casual player or family looking for something extra. read more

We bowl here often, and when they try to serve you 8 French fries and call it an order of French fries, that's a problem. Not only did they try to serve us 8 French fries and call it an order of fries, the employee in the concession area didn't even attempt to remedy the problem. Terrible service..... would not let my kids bowl with bumpers who are in the 3rd and 4th grade. One was below the so called red line and he was still being rude and would not let them bowl with bumpers...It should be a age requirment a height requirment anyway. RUDE PEOPLE!!!!! We have met some of our family here to visit for a couple of days, we decide that we wanted to go bowling for fun. We pay for our games and shoes. We set up our game and we wanted the bumpers up ok? I go to ask for the guy to but them and he was so rude. He said they couldn't unless you were under 4,6. He wanted to measure us. He wouldn't wen put them up and I just walked away mad. EVERY bowling ally I've been to has given an option and I've been to a many. I didn't even want to bowl then, he was just rude. We decided to get a drink and popcorn. The SMALL drink was $1.50! That's outrageous! The popcorn was $3.50 and it tasted HORRIBLE and all five of us. It was OLD. He was rude too. He didn't offer to pop anymore and when we asked he said it will just taste the same all mean and rude. I know we will not be ever returning here EVER!!!!!!!! read more
