There seems to be some Chinese speaking staff here, although some of the younger staff were just speaking English, and plenty of signs were in 3 languages. It was a crazy opening week that lasted for nearly 2 weeks. I didn't want to bother with the check out lines it was that packed. Finally got to go last week and was glad too since there were some awesome sales going on with their beef ribeyes and tenderloins. I mean REALLY good sales. I stocked up, lol! Anyhow, it's a location like most of the other locations where the place is kept clean, the staff (with the exception of some Caucasian guy at the front entrance) are all friendly. I think this location has the best seafood and sashimi out of all the nearby Hmarts, and I've found the cashiers here to be the friendliest too. They also carry the Slow Village Makgeolli (느린마을 막걸리), which you normally can get only in Korea and tastes so much better than the other makgeolli brands generally sold in the US. I also love the maple doughnuts sold at this Hmart, though not sure if they're always available (they're made in the US and usually go for $5.99 for a box). I just wish they had people bagging our groceries at checkout, because sometimes it gets pretty hectic when you're rushing to do it yourself and the next customer is impatiently waiting for you to be done. The kind Korean lady with a black bob cut and glasses sometimes bags my groceries for me when I seem overwhelmed b/c I've bought so many groceries, but she's really the only one who's ever helped me bag my groceries. I think if they had someone bagging groceries (or had cashiers doing it themselves, like at Trader Joe's), it would save customers a lot of time and stress!

Nothing changed except for the name. Same store with the same staff- just a new name. I like that the store is bright and clean with a nice layout. They pack a lot of inventory under one roof but still manages to keep the aisles nice and wide. There are plenty of registers for quick checkout. And there's a small parking lot next to the store which is extremely convenient in this neighborhood. I've gotten some great bargains in their meat and fish sections. It's somewhat less expensive than the other grocery stores in the neighborhood for fresh meat. The fruit selection on the other hand, I find just a tad too expensive. That's okay. I'll just go across the street and down the block for better fruits.

But being that it's new, and Chinese new year is around the corner, I suspect it will be very busy until then. I was there around 630 on a Monday evening and the parking lot was full. . They might not have brands that I normally find in other Asian supermarkets but it's pretty stocked with essentials if I am in a jam and want to pick up something since I am usually around that area.
