Helpfully placed in the centre of Queen st Mall is the Brisbane Visitor Information Centre…read more This place is good for tours and accommodation bookings, events and entertainment information, brochures and maps, or general tourist advice you need for the Brisbane and Greater Brisbane areas. If you can't find a place in the city or your phone has died, the lovely ladies at the Information Centre are well equipped to lend you hand. My only annoyance is that sometimes they are busy so you may have to wait for a couple of minutes. 4 stars for finding out where you need to go!

What a lovely find. There are 2 trails that you can explore free of charge. One is a maze made of…read moretea trees. Not as easy as you might think! Another is a rainforest walk with interesting artwork all along the trail. A bonus was that we saw some beautiful birds - a kookaburra and sone lorikeets. The store has tons of great products ranging from tea tree antiseptics to chocolate covered espresso beans. The staff are friendly and very informed. When my 10 year old daughter accidentally rubbed some peppermint oil in her eyes, Kylie washed her eyes with saline and gave us extra saline in case she experienced any more irritation. So worth the drive to Ballina.
