I was referred to Goboman by a professional lighting guy. The first time, the customized gobo was amazing and the client loved it. I set clear expectations on when I needed it to arrive. The communication was prompt and helpful. Since then, we have ordered again! And plan to again. Goboman will be my go-to man anytime I need a gobo, man! Lol After reading the bad reviews, it seems like user error! Ha! If you check the details of your order in advance, you may realize that you're the problem. read more

All good with the folks at Goboman! Ordered a custom gobo for an upcoming project, and the pattern was turned around within four days, then arrived one day after that. The detail in the pattern is perfect. Using this gobo in a Source 4 LED. read more

I have included the email responses as goboman is a joke of a company. Quick to take your money and create a product. Not so quick to correct their mistake by misguiding me in my first hobo purchase. However, rosco gobo company has answered their phone and has been fantastic. I'd give them a try first. Goboman puts profits before professionalism. read more

We got a great product from Steve and it shipped fast! We will definitely be using them again for all our events

I ordered one of my first wedding GOBOS from GOBO Man a little over a month ago. They have SO MANY choices to choose from when it comes to wedding and party designs. It takes a little bit of time for things to be made HOWEVER, I prefer it that way, because the design comes out much crisper and beautiful. My bride and groom were extremely satisfied and overjoyed that they got to keep their specially made GOBO at the end of the night. I am going to be using GOBO Man for all of my future weddings and parties. Thank you guys! Great customer service, even if the mail process can be tedious. Emcee2 DJ Services read more

Used them for many years and we had so many great experiences but also some very BAD ones. Many times we would get misspelled designs or shipping didn't come in time! When these things happened I had to refund the client a partial amount of the contract since we do package deals. The brides were LIT when their names were misspelled or didn't arrive in time! When I contacted them about this which was often them always back peddled and began to blame it on the shipper like UPS or whoever they used! One year we spent over $1800. On just this site for gobos. The customer service was NONE I dealt with a "Rebel" whom I tried many times to clarify issues and he/she never picked up! When I was in a pinch I offered for me to do a will call which I got no response. Some of the errors they did refund me the amount of the purchase but that didn't cover the amount I had to refund the clients. So because of on going problems, lack of customer service and overall operations of this company we dropped them and will NEVER use this company ever! Now we use high output projectors with ease. I don't recommend this company or thier lack of customer service, with all the errors we experienced it's not worth it Update: the response from the owner/business rep. Here's my responses-look I had Many issues with you guys and because of that I moved away from using this dinosaur type of service. I recommend to button up your operations and hire extra staff who will do the things you won't or can't handle. Lastly, this type of service is SOOO old, with the high end projectors out there we can do so much more on top of creating animated gobos or mapping for the clients. We recommend the public to look into high end or high out out projectors for creating custom gobos trust us you'll never have to deal with this Over priced service with crappy customer service like this company. 1st time hobo buyer and had trouble figuring out how to place an order. I reached out but still was met with complications. now "when" not "if" there are complications, goboman only communicates via email, I would have paid the 20 dollar difference for other alternatives like Rosco or goboplus, much difference response at those companies. Goboman is unresponsive to help! i would use their competitors, pay the 20 extra dollar difference. I have since then called Rosco and Goboplus. The experience is night and day different. read more

What a great company. Steve did a great job on a piece of Trump art work for me. I could not be more satisfied. I recommend this company for your art work. Thanks again. read more

STAY AWAY!!! This company absolutely sucks when it comes to customer service. They drag their feet with production/shipping, even when you pay for expedited shipping. They never answer the phone and are cavemen to email inquiries. I think the craziest thing about this company is after calling serval times with no response, no resolution via email and waiting 2 weeks for my order to ship (I paid for expedited shipping mind you), they deleted my account lol. Goofy little company. You're better off paying a little more with progobo.com, getting great customer service and fast delivery. Thank me later :) read more

I would recommend Goboman to anyone looking for a gobo. I needed a gobo for my wedding and Goboman did a great job from start to finish. The service was friendly and prompt and I couldn't be happier with the finished product. With the help of Rebel, the design process was easy and straight forward. Rebel was easy to get in touch with and quickly responded to my email questions about the process. Rebel was very helpful in helping me review the proof of my design and tweak it to get it just right. The result was a beautiful custom gobo that used the calligraphy from my wedding invitation. I was clueless as to what was needed to project the gobo, so thankfully Rebel gave me specific questions to ask my wedding DJ (who would be projecting the gobo) to ensure I ordered the correct size gobo and to ensure the DJ had the correct equipment. This was super helpful and gave me peace of mind in knowing that my gobo would look great on my wedding day. read more

Had a really simple gobo I needed to arrive 3'ish hours from their facility within 4 business days...instead of just making something cost effective happen, customer service was awful and totally unhelpful. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! After ordering a projector and a custom colored gobo, and paying another 100$ for expedited shipping, they contacted me and asked for more money!!!! Saying that their website has an error and you need to add more money for shipping. After that, it became the worst back and forth ever! They are rude, ignored me, didn't help when needed and didn't even deliver everything I ordered. It's a shame that's how they treat customers especially when they spend over 1,500$ on their site. Response to Goboman: I haven't received everything! I paid for a proof for the colored gobo which I never received or confirmed. Also, the gobo holder you sent me is the wrong size for the colored gobo or the steel one. I tried talking with you about this but still haven't got a response. And I too have all email communications between us. read more

I was helping out a friend with her event. I did a rush order from this company for a $249 gobo. I asked if they could ship overnight Fedex or I could send a messenger? They said they would only ship UPS... you can guess what happened next. UPS lost my package and I spent 4 hours of my event install time on the phone and trying to piece together a custom gobo when I was supposed to be managing a large crew. Shit happens. However, as of today, I have not received a credit as promised, a returned phone call or email. And the event was 17 days ago. I will have disputed the charges with VISA at this point. read more

Goboman made me a custom gobo for my dog. The intricate detail and work was amazing. I've used other gobo companies for my marketing work and no one was able to do the fine details so I always had to compromise- not Goboman- he's the man! read more

If I had written this review last year, it would have been a different story. I have been a customer of Goboman for two years now. I've purchased 8 different gobos. As long as my orders have not needed any response or support from staff, my experience has been fine and I would have recommended them. Now, that I have been asking for their help in tracking down a receipt so I can bill the total amount I spent on gobos to a client, my requests have been met with rude, short responses, pissy attitudes and staff who act like I have no right to request a receipt for my order. Their blatant disrespect for their customers and disrespectful manner for handling their clients is the reason why I will be looking for a new vendor. read more

I'm in the business for lighting... I order gobo's from many sources however these guys advertise being $10.00 cheaper than most vendors so I decided to give them a shot. I placed an order on their website for a gobo and even uploaded the artwork online on their website. Two weeks later they let me know that they still don't have my artwork like I failed to fulfill my end of the contract. I then emailed them the artwork and they did not respond and I decided to call customer service and spoke with Rebel and she said they didn't receive my artwork so my order still hasn't been processed. At this point I'm frustrated however I take a deep breathe and keep my calm. I ask her over the phone and say "I'm emailing it again right now, can you stay on the phone with me for a minute and let me know if you receive the artwork"... She replies "No I'm not near a computer". I called your office line right? No wonder you didn't get my artwork there's no computer to be found near your office to download my artwork. I swear in a service business that especially caters to weddings they should learn something about customer service and talking to people. If you want gobos you should contact Rosco directly or another local lighting vendor. I would have paid $100 bucks extra to avoid dealing with these people. Thats what I get for being cheap. read more

UPDATE: 9/8/15 I am pleased to say that the folks at Goboman reached out to me via yelp.com and offered to make things right and offered me a gobo so that I can see how they have improved. I must say that things have drastically improved. The response time was much more to what I would expect from a professional service. I am not saying any of this because the gobo was free, that was just a bonus. It really was much better service. In addition I put the pressure on because this particular Gobo was not just for any wedding, it was for my own upcoming wedding. The Gobo was ordered, a confirmation received and they quickly produced my Gobo without any issues. It arrived in 8 days after I ordered it. I will be giving them another chance in hopes that they will keep up the good work from here on out. My original rating was a 1, I will move it up to a 3 "A-OK!", provided they keep up the good work I won't have a problem with 5 stars in the future. Chad Gibbs DJGibbsProductions.com read more

Good quality product at a good price. My item almost did not arrive on time but they were able to recut and ship within the day. They are responsive by chat but make it very difficult to get ahold by phone. If they change that i would give another star. read more

I've worked with Goboman in the past and have always been reasonable about shipping issues, but this summer was a complete nightmare. I'm glad I found out early on how absolutely painfully bad their customer service is. Rude, inattentive and completely unfeeling individuals run this show. They are only available when it's time to take money - god help you if you you ever need a little bit of service! Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. This is a hot garbage heap of a company that I wish I could give less than one star to. Their focus is on taking your money and nothing else. They do not deserve to be in a customer facing industry. I've held off on posting this review to allow them some grace period on which to make things right but to no avail. Stay away!! read more

I needed a custom gobo for my wedding and was getting the run around from other companies trying to strong arm me into buying higher priced gobos because they said my custom design couldn't be done on steel. Gobo man not only came thru, they didn't try to up sell me. They definitely will have my business going fwd on any gobo I need. Thanks read more

So much yes! Fist off cheapest custom gobo I could find with a quick search, but also they rock. My client surprised me with last minute gobo requests and they not only cranked them out in record time but they emailed me with an error that they caught with no help from me whatsoever. They made changes and still got me 10 gobos in a couple days that looked perfect. They pretty much saved my show. Can't recommend enough. you should give them your money. read more

My experience with Goboman is truly a terrible one... I had order a custom gobo and payed extra to get a proof sent to me for approval which was to be sent to me within 3 days... It's been a week and nothing, I have left a couple voicemails (during business hours at that, they never answer) and sent them a few emails... I am now filing a complaint with my bank to retrieve a refund!!! This custom is bogus and has had bad reviews, do not trust them and better yet save yourself the time and money and go with another company... I prefer stagespot.com for my Gobos now... read more

I absolutely LOVE the gobo quality... Perfect for my monogram business!

Completely horrendous customer service. I ordered a time sensitive wedding gobo for an event in July weeks prior and have just received it today, more than 2 months later. My order was placed before their summer vacation deadline and was expected to be manufactured and arrive on time and never did. I had to contact Gobosource for a rush order and they delivered the next morning! These guys never replied to any of my emails nor did they refund me. I will never be doing business with Goboman ever again. read more

Worst. Customer. Service. EVER. If you are looking for a gobo on time for your event, place it at least a year in advance. I added an additional star because the product was perfect when it arrived. No additional follow up from the business.

THEY DO NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS. I BEGGED THEM OVER EMAIL TO CALL ME, and left them voice messages. THEY PRODUCED MY GOBO INCORRECTLY, AND THEY STILL WOULD NOT CALL ME. HORRIBLE customer service... From the day we placed our custom gobo plate order, to the day we received the faulty plate, our experience was not good. If you're looking to get any answers from this company... why you never received a requested proof, updates on the order progress, a receipt for your order, why your order was not functioning properly, what to do with your non-functional plate... Whether it is via phone or email, good luck! Rebel Hoffman was quite the rebel when it came time to servicing her customer. Not only did she offer a refund for the faulty plate, but when it came time to following through, it was a repeated answer of "custom gobo plates are not refundable." The best part of our experience was when they sent a used tube of glue, a bezel (which was missing from our plate, causing it to not be functional), and a post-it note of instructions on how to adhere the bezel to our plate. In the end, we spent $469.90 for a custom gobo plate that we had to assemble ourselves! This is not acceptable in our eyes. Again, good luck working with this company. read more
