This is a very clean and nice gas station located in Ashland, Ohio. I saw it on an exit sign while driving on I-71N highway heading to Cleveland in July 2024. This was my first time visiting GOASIS. I stopped inside to use the toilet and then I bought petrol/gas at BP. The gas station store (inside) is very clean and big. The female restroom was well maintained. Customer service in the store was friendly as I interacted with a male gas station attendant. They sell prepared foods such as salads, snacks, drinks, and other miscellaneous items. I love that they also sell fresh chocolate and toffee by the weight. In addition to the general store, there is also a Starbucks, Popeyes, and Pizza Hut inside the main GOASIS store. This is my go to gas station when passing through. I typically get gas at GOASIS and then drive over to Grandpas Cheese barn. Makes a nice little travel break. The GOASIS has everything! You can get your gas and diesel as well as a full convenience store with a lot of travel odds and ends, and tons of snacks. In addition, I love that they have a combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell, in addition to a Starbucks, and a Popeyes Chicken. This is on the way from my home in Dayton to where I grew up in Cleveland and as a mother of two young kids I've had to stop here a few times. The bathrooms are a really nice and typically very clean. It can get busy as it's a nicer place to stop plus has tons of food options. The parking lot is pretty big. Lots of gas pumps. The store itself has lots of convenience items that are priced like normally. Nice stop compared to some of the other places on I-71. read more

Beware this gas station! I'll start with the pros for this place- clean bathrooms, some good food choices. HOWEVER, I have to give this place one star because the gas station is a scam. We pushed the button for regular unleaded gas, the regular unleaded gas button appropriately lit up, but then it automatically started filling the car up with premium gas with no indication other than the price per gallon on the price ticker (which is already running because you are actively filling the car with gas). So instead of $3 a gallon it was $4 a gallon, a significant difference especially for larger cars. Not cool. read more

The Goasis, as it is called, is my favorite fuel and food stop when traveling along 71. It's like a truck stop, but for cars and families. It's clean, with friendly service too. It has family bathrooms with a kiddie sized toilet and sink so it's great if you have kids. The bathrooms are also clean and large, so you won't likely have to wait. For food, you can get the standard grab-n-go selections like hot dogs, nachos and slushies. Then there are the fast food options of Taco Bell/Pizza Hut or Starbucks and Popeyes Chicken. Not the fastest service, but it's nice for making one stop and getting back on the road. read more

Soooo my faith in humanity has been fully restored in the most unsuspecting way. I'm a 100% disabled U.S. Army combat Veteran from 101st Air Assault Airborne Division. Unfortunately I have been struggling with severe PTSD as well as other issues in my life that makes life a bit more choppy than usual. New Year's Day was not a great day for me. 20 hours into the new year and already having family problems. So if you can imagine, I wasn't very high speed already into 2022. I came up to Northern Ohio to get away from reality for a couple days and spend time with my younger sister but sadly her and I had an unfortunate fall out. So I decide to go back home back to Southern Ohio and regroup myself. Unbenounced to me a storm said hello to me on the highway and the wind mixed with my night blindness made it practically impossible for me to get back on time. So I decided to stay at a gas station and the first one off 71 South I noticed a Goasis Gas Station that looked suitable for me to hunker down at. Not familiar with the location nor gas station I still decided to go in and ask if I could say on their property until the storm settled. Instantly I was greeted with warm hospitality and useful information that I could utilize. Already feeling welcomed they supplied me with good conversation and assured me I was in a comfortable setting. Very rarely do I ever see this in a civilian setting let alone a busy gas station. I was instantly satisfied and content with my decision. But to my surprise that was only the beginning. Not only did these wonderful employees serve me with care including a bearded man (Oregan Native Jesse) that stood out to me because i could instantly tell he had a good heart from how he presented himself, did not end my night with not only a safe environment but volunteering to periodically check on me making sure I was comfortable and ok. "Guys!, I'm not even at the good part yet!!!" These wonderful employees offered me top notch resources that even a hotel would never supply. No joke people, these awesome individuals went out of there way and epically surprised me with a good meal and essential gear to keep me warm from the great lake weather. I was so moved from these multiple actions that honestly I really do not want to even go to another gas station and I live two hours away. I've never met such a thing fine group of employees like this ever in my life and I traveled all around the world. I was not only moved but so surprised that there is still good like this in the world. And I really hope that more people get to experience a real social interaction like I did. I actually got to see very good values today. Now just because of this selfless service act of more than one person at a gas station of all things I'm beginning to see this year looking a little brighter. Thank you ten times over to all the employees at Goasis Gas Station for the good vibes and God bless you for being true good hearted human beings. I always hold out for the Goasis. Starbucks, clean bathrooms, snacking options galore... this is an I-71 traveler's dream. It's the perfect distance for me between Columbus and my parents' and in-laws' up north. There are never lines at the convenience side, so it's easy to grab an iced tea or pop if Starbucks is busy and I need my caffeine fix quick. It doesn't hurt that it's so conveniently located near Grandpa's Cheesebarn down the street, either! read more

When it comes to off the highway rest stops, this place is top notch. I travel on I71 quite often, and I honestly hold off as long as I can just so that I can make it to this gas station. I never have to worry about them being closed because they are 24/7. This place is so much more than a gas station though, they have everything! From a starbucks, Popeyes, Taco Bell, a little fudge stand and everything in between! The place is always well kept, I feel safe while there, I really can't ask for much more! This is the absolute worse car wash in America. So slow. Takes 10 minutes per car but you buy in advance so you can't even get out of line. Avoid this car wash tied to the BP like the plague. Serious need of an upgrade or retool. read more

I've been traveling between Columbus and Cleveland a bunch for work over the last few months, and this has become a routine stop. While it's basically just a travel stop, the Goasis manages to be well organized, clean, and the staff have always been polite and helpful. I'm trying to avoid the candy shop, but it's pretty normal for me to stop in, gas up the car, and grab some coffee at the Starbucks. As a dear friend once put it, " I'm just saying that the Goasis is like the gem of the Nile, the ruby out of garnets, the grammatically correct paper from a sixth grader- it is totally unexpected and worth acknowledging." It can't be said better then that. Among a boring repetition of straight roads, sketchy rest stops and motels near strip clubs, Goasis is a revelation. The bathrooms are immaculate. I've gotten ready for a WEDDING in there. The food choices range from Starbucks to Popeye's and the store is never darkened by a flickering fluorescent. The place is worth a stop even if you don't need gas or a bathroom break. It's just good for you to stop there, it reminds you there is still good in the world. read more

Most amazing highway side bathrooms EVER. Also, while Goasis has a great selection of fast-food and Starbucks, I was pleasantly surprised to find that I could buy healthy snacks. I walked out the door with a huge tub of carrot sticks and two yogurt cups for under $6. For a truck-stop, I'd call that progressive! Lastly, there is plenty of grass around the gas station for your four-legged friends to sniff around and fertilize the lawn. Mark it in your GPS people, this pit stop is definitely not the pits! Also, as an aside...Ladies... the bathrooms are super nice right? Let's not piss on the seat, ok? This has to be the best Gas Station area ANYWHERE. It's clean and offers so much AND it has a Starbucks in it. There are drinks, so many to choose from, nachos, pretzels, hot dogs, watermelon, hard boiled eggs, salad, fruit, veggies, subs.. and so much snacking food it's unreal. There is a homemade fudge counter... YUMMY!!! Service is fast and friendly, if you are passing through.. STOP, it's a must! Best place to stop between Columbus and Cleveland. Right off I-71 with nice clean bathrooms. They also have plenty of option once you are inside. They have a Popeyes, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and deli sandwiches and wraps. They also have a Starbucks. I love this place as it is a stop on my way to my parents. They also have homemade fudge along with lots of sugar free options. I wouldn't make this my gad stop but it works for bathroom, drinks, and food. read more

My husband and I joke that we could go on dates to the Goasis. It's really in a whole separate category from other gas stations. The bathrooms are awesome, but I will say that the 'sink in the stall' idea doesn't seem so great when you're waiting in line and have to wait for the person ahead of you to wash her hands and fix her hair before you can use the toilet. There is no better gas station in the world.. and I've been to many gas stations. Though many people who frequent I-71 do not have many options for a pit stop, it works out well that this beauty is almost exactly 1/2 way between Cleveland and Columbus. Anything you could possibly need while traveling is in there. Starbucks, Popeyes, Taco Bell & the regular ol' gas station munchies. The bathrooms are very large and usually very clean..and each stall in the ladies room has its own sink! No Drive-thru food windows, FYI!! As someone who travels 71 frequently, usually with small children, a drive-thru is an important feature for us. While this awesome gas station has a Starbucks, Popeyes, and Pizza Hut, you have to go inside to patronize them. This gas station is otherwise awesome. It's always clean and well-lit. Bathrooms are really nice, especially compared to many other gas stations on route 71 between Cleveland and Columbus! Although stalls each have a sink inside. So do everyone a favor if it's busy and wash your hands in the sink outside the stalls. Employees are friendly. On top of the afore-mentioned chains, there is also a wide variety of pre-packaged snacks and food available inside. read more

I visted goasis again this weekend, as I drove south through Ohio, and it was still wonderful. I've been stopping here for about five years now, and it's just as good as the first time. Five years is a long time, that place is BUUUUSY, and it's still GREAT. People have gone on about the variety - the fast food places, the Starbucks, the ability to buy anything from a fountain soda to a bottled one, water, salty snacks, soft pretzels, candy bars, bags of circus peanuts, Ohio souvenirs (shot glasses, magnets, etc.) and, for some unknown reason, blown glass animals. But no one's really talked about the fudge. FRESH FUDGE PEOPLE. And two of the three times I've stopped there, the woman who makes the fudge is the one manning the booth. THE WOMAN WHO MAKES THE FUDGE. Like, a real person (and she's really a lovely person, too) who has created the fab, fudgey choices for you. She'll cut you tastes of fudge, and recommend favorites, and you can even mention something you're especially looking for, and she may agree to make it for you, for when you stop by again! And then there are the flavors -- the standard chcocolate, peanut butter, etc., but cookies and cream, raspberry jalapeno, and -- my personal fav - vanilla with a layer of caramel and nuts in the center. OH, BE STILL MY HEART. She also does a DELISH penuche. I should also mention the bathrooms. A guy below gives a great description of the men's, but the women's is ALL indiviual stalls, like little rooms, with a toilet, wash basin and towls, all in it. And the glass window on these is frosted, with like grass on it. Lovely. I also agree with the guy above, that they are always neat and well stocked. They also have a family restroom that's pretty great. So agree, Goasis is a Great place to stop. And remember, TRY THE FUDGE, PEOPLE. read more

Place is always way too busy. The places in it are more expensive then in general. Parking can be a hassle. If you're coming off of i71 though, this is a great place because of all the options and choices. read more

This place truly is an oasis. Whenever driving from Oberlin to Columbus, we stop here for a Starbucks trip, a little food, and/or a green alligator slushy (or something like that). It helps break up the trip, especially considering the fact that the first leg (from Oberlin to Ashland) is enough to make you fall asleep behind the wheel. read more

This place (now a bp minit mart) is just about the nicest truck stop I've ever found. The restrooms are clean. The staff is cordial. There's junk food, yes, but healthy fresh stuff to eat, too. There're nice dining areas inside and out. There's an uncannily good selection of magazines (Mother Earth News!), and decent souvenirs like homemade jams where you'd usually find just dusty bumper stickers. There's even (!) a pay phone. I thought I'd wandered off I-71 in Ohio into an alternative universe where everything's clean and people are all polite. read more

I usually love this rest stop. It is on the way to my Grandma's house & it is right off the freeway. The best part about the Goasis is that is has Starbucks! On this occasion, however, I changed my mind... My mom and I stopped here on 4th of July weekend on our way home from Dayton. I had to pee like crazy & we needed to get gas. I ran in to use the facilities and much to my dismay the line was out the door and around the corner. What I soon realized was that in this huge Goasis, there are only 3 stalls in the restroom. Each of those stalls, while lovely, large, roomy, and each having their own sink and paper towel roll, took up so much room that they only put in 3 in the whole place!!!!! Seriously, people, it is a REST-STOP not a palatial en-suite. Please put in more toilets. My mom thought I fell in I was gone so long. She also informed me that a little boy ran out & told his dad, "It is gonna be a while. The line is sooo long." There was even a swanky circular seating area with an additional seat in the rest room...as if I'd sit & relax on my trip to the Goasis bathroom. They could have fit at least 6 toilets where they put three. Suggestion: don't stop here if you really have to go & it is a holiday weekend. You'll wait 20+ minutes to go. read more

Great place to refuel, use the clean facilities and grab a Starbucks or food if needed. The gas is on the average to cheaper side while we've found the food/drink options to be more on the expensive side. This is relatively easy to get in/out of from (just off I-71) and there are no semi-trucks allowed. We have been stopping here on our long trips for 7 years now. The cleanest bathrooms you can find on the road. Food options include Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and Popeye's Chicken, as well as a well stocked convenient store with healthier options. read more

It is hard to place this in category. It is a very glorified gas station. This place is located in one of those stops between Columbus and Cleveland that is a sort of Tourist trap. On one side of the highways is little shops specialty foods, jewelry, and all sorts of stuff to buy, on the other side is this station, which has BP gas (I know but it was cheap), Popeyes chicken, Starbucks, Tacobell, and Pizza Hut, along with the regular fare of hotdogs, nachos, donuts, cheap coffee, beer, then a gift, fudge, and icecream shops all rolled into one. I wanted some Starbucks coffee cause I have a loaded gift card. I got gas at $2.39/gal the cheapest in the area, gas in Cleveland was $2.59. So I topped off before I got to Cleveland, the on the way home to Columbus. If heading north up I-71 remember this place in case you have people with you with different food or snack tastes. I get the allure of pulling off the highway to Oasis because of all the delicious roadside food and coffee (see other reviews). But when you pull off and you need to eat, you also often need to go to the bathroom. And the ladies bathroom here is the. worst. Who had the genius idea of giving ladies 3 stalls all with sinks inside -- do you have any idea how long a woman can take in a stall with all of that?! I have to gooooo reallll badddd and I cursed the person who made this place both times I stopped. read more
