I bought a purse by accident. I was scrolling down to write a question in the comments. I wanted to see a picture of what the purse would look like with the upgraded zipper added. The order was placed unintentionally. I immediately sent an email asking for the order to not go through, that it was an error. I then received an order confirmation and an e-mail explaining they don't respond to emails on weekends and that production would start right away. I tried again to communicate with them via e-mail the next business day and received another e-mail with the same message that didn't apply to my issue. I never heard back from them. The purse arrived. I'm not happy with the zipper addition for 2 reasons. 1) It is so far down in the top of the purse that it makes the capacity much shallower. 2) The zipper is not attached at either end so you have to keep putting it together like the bottom of a jacket each time. This is a terrible design. So inconvenient and hard with the thickness of the leather. I gave the 2 stars because the leather is beautiful! Very happy with the quality of the leather. The zipper needs improvement in the design. I couldn't find a phone number anywhere to communicate with Go Forth Goods and the e-mail didn't work. I am stuck with the purse and am so unimpressed with their customer service. This has been a very frustrating experienc. I do a lot of online shopping. I've never had such poor communications with a business. The order was placed November 1 so it's not like they were in the thick of the holidays yet. They could have communicated with me to make sure I ended up with a product I would be happy with - if they cared. read more

Ordered a bag online. My Louis Vuitton bandolier straps finally had it and so did I. Was not wanting to shell out the 900 that LV wanted to completely repair my bag. I had enjoyed it for the better part of a decade. Nana left it for me. I still have it but anyways. Looked to find a made in the USA leather bag that would last my lifetime and be able to passed along to a grandchild one day. They did a great job it's beautiful quality heavy leather material. Made it as a carry on no problem. Watch there video it can hold an anvil. Which I packed to hawaii 2 weeks of clothes and toiletry bag as well as my laptop for in this bag. It was heavy. Luckily the shoulder strap was comfy I had it on my shoulder along with a lot of other crap we packed. Glad I ordered it and I know it will last. I don't like providing a low review but as more time goes by, the more I'm bothered. I placed an online order for a saddle mini which was delivered on 8/2. The bag was cute and well made but was too heavy and shoulder strap was too long for my height. I mailed it back on 8/4 and it was received on 8/12 (I paid for return shipping). I waited patiently for them to determine if the bag was returned in good condition. I finally called them on 8/22 (yes, 10 days after they received the bag) , they confirmed they received it and will be processing a refund soon. They processed a refund that afternoon but deducted the shipping cost of them sending it to me. The invoice they sent me had a shipping charge of $0.00 so I was expecting the full amount shown on the invoice. The refund policy does state shipping cost is deducted from the refund but the cost of the shipping is not published on the refund policy nor is it on the invoice they send. I understand they are a small business and there is a shipping cost for any business but if the invoice states $0.00 shipping charge, why was it deducted from my refund? I ended up paying about $50 to see/feel/try on a handbag. read more

Lovely, little store with unique leather items made right there in the back of the shop. I bought a black leather belt and needed additional holes punched in it to make the belt more versatile for different uses and they were able to accommodate this customization request in just a few minutes. The store has that gorgeous leather smell when you walk in. If you want to spend local, want non-chain, want personal service, want top quality items, then this store is for you. read more

Go Forth Goods was started in 2014 when founder Nathan Martin had a duffle bag break on him. When he couldn't find a new bag that he liked, he decided to create his own. Now 4 years later, Go Forth Goods includes a team of 5 leather crafters working out of a small shop and retail store in Marietta Ga with over 70 different products for both men and women.

Nathan Martin the Founder and CEO started Go Forth Goods when he had a bag break on him. He taught himself how to make leather goods using online resources. Finally was able to pick the bag up a full 5 months after dropping it off. I was also charged for replacement of a logo, which they were not able to replace. Overall a disappointing and expensive experience. Would not recommend.

I brought an old Fairfield leather office chair that I paid $25 at a second hand store. I knew the brand very well, so I knew its worth (try $1,500-$3,500 easily). I saw past the ripped seat, and I thought that it would be less expensive to have the seat re-leathered than to purchase a new chair in the same brand which is true in theory; however, the price of the leather panels were far beyond what I wanted to pay for a chair that I only wanted to place into my work office space, so I didn't want to invest a lot of money. Alex helped me search through fabric swatches and I found what I thought was unique and went with my theme of traditional elegance with a touch of interesting movements in that space. Viola! Mag's had what I was looking for, and Alex gave me price that was fair. He told me I could pay when I returned and I left with his word that he would call me in a couple of weeks. True to his word, Alex called me and I dropped in to pick up my baby. I was so pleasantly surprised and pleased when I saw the beautiful new seat cushion. Alex is simply a wonderful artist with a eye for perfection because he added a little more padding to provide the right depth the seat needed to the final sewing. I almost did not recognize the cushion if it weren't for the fabric. Alex and his genius hands made this seat cushion sparkle. I highly recommend Mag's for your refurbishing desires of any seat you need. Alex is a master at his craft and clearly he takes pride in his work. In practice, walking into this place felt less like entering a repair shop and more like stumbling into the afterlife of luggage. Maybe there is a system hidden somewhere in the chaos, but the only places I have seen with comparable levels of clutter were antique stores, thrift shops, and the occasional junkyard. If your suitcase has ever wondered what comes after baggage claim, apparently this is it. The storefront is also easy to miss. The sign mainly advertises leather and shoe repair, with luggage repair seeming like a last-minute footnote. For reference, it is on the left side of the grocery store, near the end of the strip, on the corner. Helpful, because the sign is not exactly doing the heavy lifting. When I dropped off my bag, I explained the issue and the owner made a noise that strongly suggested he had already seen this movie and knew how it ended. His official response was, "we will see what they say." Sure enough, within 2-3 days I got notice that Samsonite would not cover the repair. That meant driving back out to Sandy Springs before the 14-day deadline so my suitcase would not be discarded. I cannot prove anything improper, but I definitely left with the impression that the inspection outcome was not exactly a suspense thriller. Picking up the bag was its own experience. The two employees had trouble locating it, which was not especially reassuring given the sheer volume of items stacked everywhere. I was one suggestion away from joining the search party myself. The whole scene felt like a hoarder's garage sale with a repair counter. While I was there, another customer was picking up shoes and did not sound especially thrilled with either the wait or the quality. From what I understand, this business used to be owned by someone else and operated from a different location. The previous owners retired, and based on both reputation and my experience, the service seems to have gone downhill under the current management.

This store is more like places you'd find in west midtown. I was trying to find a leather rapid 2 pc. rivet to repair one of my favorite custom made purse/backpack. I scowered hardware stores and craft stores without success and finally found it here! The best thing about this store is incredibly helpful and friendly staff. They helped me fix the rivet at no cost... mind you this is NOT a repair shop. I wasn't going to risk it by taking it to ubiquitous unskilled so called cobblers. These guys are just very kind people who go way beyond a normal retail - my std is Nordy's as I was raised on it. Their leather prices are reasonable, in fact, I saw whole pieces you often see at the furniture stores for rugs for a fraction what they charge. You do need to buy whole pices. This place is about same size as Michael's and has nice open, clean warehouse ambiance. It's nicely organized with hanging leather on the right, laid out leather on platforms in the middle and accessories on the left. Front of the store has books/patterns, workshop area and check out and....a clearance table. They currently have certain suade pieces on clearance that I was so tempted. They have 3 tiered pricing: retail, membership ($35/yr) and whole sale. So it's open to both the trade and retail and if you buy a lot, you can save some mullah. It's a fabulous find instead of having to go to ADAC. They also have classes / work shops for nominal prices to cover their material costs. Upcoming ones are suade glove making ($25) and purse construction. I'm so STOKED - Ihave all these cool design ideas that may soon be realized. This Tandy Leather though it's in Lithia Springs / Austell, is definitely a keeper. There's a sister store in Norcross.

This was the worst customer experience I have ever had! I purchased a wallet and had applied the 15% off code and at check out it charged me full price. I tried to call however they don't answer their phones. So I emailed requesting to cancel so I could reorder the wallet with the 15% off code for signing up for email alerts. The General Manager responded saying I'm within the 24 hours but he was charging me $25 to cancel, which he states is their policy. Not only does that violate consumer protection laws, but it's a piss poor business practice. Regardless I have sent 5 emails with no response. I am also reporting them to the attorney general consumer protection in both Georgia and in my home state of MA. Stay away from these guys!!!!!! read more
