I had a pleasant experience with these guys. I found them on Google since they were the first ones to pop up. I rang them to make a booking and arranged a time.
The place is one of those mobile trucks that set shop by the pier. It's a red van and has a sign next to it so it's hard to miss.
When I got there one of the staff Ode warned me that the wind might be coming and that the waters might get rough where we would have to stop the session. He showed me a instructional video, had me sign a waiver, and gave me some verbal instructions.
The one person pavkagr was $160. This includes 20min of lessons and 40 min of practice. At the time, ode mentioned the video package. There's a $70 option and a $35 option. It seems like they tell you about the 70 one to make you think the 35 one is a good deal but whatever I got the 35 one. I think it's a 30sec video of your good and bad parts of that 1 hour. They say it takes about 2 weeks to edit and will send it to your sms.
As I got in the water the wind started to get rough. It got pretty bad where it was hard for me to keep my eyes open so they told me to come back another day.
That other day came and it was sunny as can be. The water was super calm and warm with the wetsuit.
I did a few practice rounds where they tell you to stand straight and do circles around the Jetski where the instructor is on. It's fairly difficult to control the direction of this thing when your up in the air. I guess it's a bit similar to snowboarding but def needs practice.
By the way when you get into the water you forget everything they taught you on land. It's hard to even try to listen to the instructor because you're in survival mode.
Overall pretty fun. I'd want to get more practice in tropical waters next time.
By the way it really hurts when u fall from high above so be careful on that. Also you will be super sore the next 2 days or so with headaches and fatigue. read more
