Such endeavor has established Josefa as one of the hottest eateries to be in around town; locals flocking to this chic restaurant to get a taste of what's new and worthy.
As Ave. Industralizacion continues to grow into a gastronomic corridor, Josefa joins breakfast favorites Moser and Almozero in this small stretch of the street. While the restaurant is open all day the only food offered is breakfast and operates only as a cafe in the evening. The place offers a loungey vibe: dark colors, dimly lit and an industrial decor that make the restaurant feel trendy and jovial. The menu displays a somewhat mixed identity composed of paninis, Mexican and French breakfast dishes, and even a burrito in typical Tex-Mex fashion that has gained local following.
However, this is the type of restaurant where the atmosphere is better than the food. Service can be sketchy at times depending on the hour, most of the dishes are hit or miss, coffee is bitter and almost astringent, and the pastries are good but nothing special. Still, the place gets packed almost every day thanks to the pleasant aesthetics and its socialite standing.
Josefa has become a mainstay among the new breakfast restaurants in Querétaro. A good place for food if you know what to choose, but even a better place to go with good company and enjoy the special ambience that is created in restaurants in this beautiful country.
