I did not like the service provided, I purchased a groupon for gel manicure and called two weeks in advance to make the appt, the lady that answer the phone was not polite at all, she gave me the appt and the day before they called me to postpone because the lady that was suppose to attend me will not go, I showed to my appt on time and the lady was doing her own manicure so I had to wait until she finished. The nail polish they had is very bad that fade during application, she put 3 coats and the finish was not good. they start to peel as soon as i get out the spa. i have just 1 week with manicure and 2 nails are completely off and the rest chip on the corners. She botched my brows so badly I'm suing her for damages and professional negligence. So I found this tanning spa just by searching Groupon for tanning and boy am I grateful I did. From the moment I walked in Melissa was one of the nicest and most patient person I have met in a LONG time. I asked a million questions as its been a while since I have tanned and since I am getting married Saturday I wanted to make sure I had a good color and wouldn't be orange. Lol. Crazy I know. So after all that I was ready. 1st time it wasn't working. But no worries Melidea fixed it. 2nd time I messed up. But no worries Melissa fixed me. 3x was definitely the charm and my tan is golden!!! The mani pedi came out very nice but the word spa is misleading to say the least. Your feet will be placed in a bucket lined with a plastic bag and you will sit in a rickety old chair. We tried to pick the sturdiest chair. We had two appointments so we were both squeezed into one small room. One girl sat on a foot stool for the pedi while the other worked hands for my friend. Then we switched. On another note, their attire was extremely unprofessional. I would not go back because I have used other groupons with a spa feel and pedicure spa chair. I prefer a relaxing experience. Just be aware it is definitely not a spa but they did a good job on the nails. read more

1 star was the least I could have given this place and I would have preferred it was 0. The tan came out uneven, my neck and face looked like they did not belong to the same body. The lightest tan left me looking 20 shades darker. On top of everything the machine did not even dry me correctly, the front was 10 shades darker than the back. This "Spa" if you can even call this business that, had many MANY shortcomings. First, they did not place my appointment on their schedule which in turn, ruined the gift option of my groupon purchase. This means that the groupon gift that I purchased in November for a friend visiting me in Miami on a specific weekend in March, and the appointment I made 3 months in advance (January), wasn't made nor was it able to happen. At first, they were completely obliviously as to why I was so upset and had no clue apparently as to what they did wrong. They stated that they were booked all day and unfortunately, there was nothing that they could do. Despite having my friends information in their system, the person who entered the information back in January didn't enter the appointment into the system. It was at this point that I spoke with someone else who was able to transfer the groupon back to me and schedule an appointment for me on the following weekend. I was still upset because the WHOLE purpose of this groupon purchase was to give it to my friend as a birthday gift. However, I thought at least I'd get my moneys worth so I went. HA! Upon arrival at the "spa", it was clear at this point that this was definitely not a "spa". In fact, it's a clothing/bikini store, tanning bar, nail salon, and massage room "spa" in Hialeah. I mean, they were literally selling bathing suits and doing Mani and Pedi's in the waiting room.. I was then informed that in addition to my groupon gift purchase price and subsequent inconvenience the prior weekend, I would have to pay an additional mandatory 20% gratuity charge (off the original service price, not the groupon value)!!! Never was this charge mentioned during my initial call to place the appointment back in January, nor was it mentioned when the mixup occurred the weekend prior nor when I called that morning to confirm my appointment. That meant an additional $25 charge even before I had even entered the room and could judge the services myself. By the way, the "cleaning facial" was basically the nail tech wiping my face with wipes and aiming a humidifier in my face for 10 minutes. Then she lathered my face with some vitamin c and then cleaned her hands on my hair!!! The stuff wouldn't come out for 6-8 washes!!!!!!!!! The "Swedish Massage" was even more dreadful. She literally only lightly rubbed my shoulders, arms, neck and from my knees to my toes. That's all! Since when is your back and thighs not included in a Swedish massage?!? This place is a complete and utter RIP OFF and I'm incredibly saddened that Groupon would even associate with this type of establishment. I highly doubt I will ever purchase a service through groupon again and that is due to this incredibly awful experience. And you can have no doubt in your mind, that I would NEVER return nor recommend Glowing Gold Tanning Spa to anyone EVER! read more

I bought a groupon for 2 Versa Spray tans for $20. Called ahead of time to let them know I was coming in with a groupon deal and the girl on the phone seemed clueless. But I made the appointment for 4pm regardless. Got there on time and was expecting it to be an easy in-n-out procedure, but oh boy was I wrong. The two girls in the front didn't even know to add the groupon into their system. They had to keep calling their boss to ask her how to solve the issues. At the end of that ordeal, they were going to charge me $10, even though I had already purchased the deal online. After another 15 minutes fixing that issue, I was finally able to get in the room. I prepare myself with the lotion and all that, step into the machine, and press the button. The machine starts up and turned off just as fast. Another 10 minutes to fix that. In the end, one of the girls had to pull down the spray nozzles herself for me to be able to tan. All in all, horrible experience. about a couple months ago I bought a groupon for a SIXTY MINUTE massage and called and made my appointment everything was good I got there and sat and waited the ladies in the front were very nice and the place is beautiful. however, my appointment was made for 5 and I waited about 15 minutes for the woman before me to finish her massage and as I got ready and the massage lady came back it was 5:25 (I looked at the time) so she was very iffy about me being a minor which is understanding (kinda) but she was very friendly and talked to me while getting my massage. so by 6 pm she's got me already sitting up and I was confused but I didn't say anything because I'm a very shy person so when I get out the room I see she had a 6pm appointment waiting for her.
