What a wonderful experience! It was my first time getting a spray tan and I was so nervous. I was greeted by two women who were so friendly! One of them walked me into the spray tan room and showed me exactly what to do. She gave me great advice as far as the shade of tan I should try. The tan came out beautiful and natural! I was in town for vacation and needed a spray tan for an event that weekend. Looked at a few salons and saw glow did a $20 versa spa spray on Tuesdays! I did a medium spray and it came out so awesome! I have done versa spas in the past so the process was familiar and quick for me! I think I was payed up, sprayed and walking out of there in less than 20 mins, it was awesome. My color lasted really well for about 5 days which was perfect for my event. Just had one of the best facials in my lifetime with Lou LaManna. She is welcoming, awesome, lovely and an expert in skincare and individualized needs. I have been long overdue for a facial and it was clear from the start of my session that Lou would cater to my specific skincare tendencies. Her products are diverse and top notch, her techniques are honed and her massage that came with my Custom Facial was divine. Additionally, it was obvious this salon takes the pandemic healthcare guidelines seriously which I appreciate. The location downtown is convenient and there's private parking in the back for clients. I'm very happy with my partial highlight and cut done by Allison! I was looking at salons in downtown Truckee but everywhere was overpriced and hard to make an appointment after work. When I call up Glow, the receptionist was very friendly and tried her best to work around my schedule. Allison did a great job to lighten my regrowth, I'm very happy with the color and cut, I appreciate her staying late to finish my hair. I want to give a shout out to Lou LaManna who is an esthetician and massage therapist at Glow. She gave me a facial this winter and it has to be one of the best facial experiences I have ever had...and I have had a few. We talked about the specifics of my skin. She spoke to me about what she was using and doing, and she is super sweet and soothing. BUT the absolute highlight was the head, neck, and shoulder massage. It was truly the best I have ever had. Seriously I was transported. We gals hold lots of tension in these areas from too much driving and too many hours on the computer. Lou really got to all the bad spots and it felt amazing. Stephanie Cross is amazing!! After having (2) total botched haircuts in 1 week at another downtown Truckee salon, I called Glow desperately needing a good (& even) haircut. Stephanie delivered & then some. She listened & was empathetic with my situation & then went on to give me a GREAT haircut. 100 stars for Stephanie Cross. She is the only one I trust to do my hair. I have very fine and long mouse brown hair she keeps blonde and beautiful. I get so many compliments on the health of my hair and many are surprised I bleach it as much as I do and it is all Stephanie. She used to work in Reno but relocated her work closer to home in Truckee and I followed her without hesitation. She drove 2.5 hours each way to style my hair for my wedding. She has always done an amazing job and once I had a wild hair to go ash blonde and when she could tell I didn't like it, she had me come back the next day and fixed it for free back to the way I like it. I trust her judgement and her opinion more than my own (especially after my ash blonde moment). She is worth the drive from Reno, her work is worth every penny I have ever spent and more. I love Stephanie and I will go to her as long as she is doing hair and I will probably plead like a baby for her to keep seeing me after she retires. read more

Great haircut but color wasn't anything like the picture I provided. Normally it wouldn't be a problem but I have short hair and for a cut and some bleach highlights, it was $185. It just wasn't worth it. Plus, when I contacted the owner to have the color redone she made it uncomfortable and difficult. read more
