Absolutely Outstanding -- Glover's Stables & Equestrian Center
I have known Glover's Stables & Equestrian Center for more than 17 years, and I can say without hesitation that it is one of the finest equestrian facilities you will find anywhere in Florida.
Deborah Glover is about as close to a real-life "horse whisperer" as you will ever meet. Her knowledge of horses, understanding of their behavior, and ability to teach riders of different ages and experience levels is remarkable. She doesn't simply teach someone how to sit on a horse--she teaches horsemanship, confidence, responsibility, respect, and how to truly communicate with these magnificent animals.
The facility offers an incredible range of activities: horseback riding lessons, boarding, professional training, clinics, horse shows, kids' camps, trail and obstacle training, and a truly impressive equestrian obstacle course. Whether you're an experienced rider looking for a challenge or a child meeting a horse for the first time, there is something here for you.
And this isn't just a place for serious horse people. The kids' activities are fantastic. Between the horses, the soon-to-open playground area, animals, outdoor activities, camps, and opportunities to learn about farm life, children can actually put down the electronics, get outside, get a little dirty, laugh, learn, and experience something real. That's becoming increasingly rare these days.
The obstacle course is in a league of its own, providing riders and horses with challenges that build trust, confidence, balance, communication, and horsemanship. You won't find at the average boarding stable.
The boarding and care of the horses are equally impressive. Anyone who owns a horse knows that choosing where to board isn't simply about finding a stall and a pasture--you're trusting someone with an animal you love. At Glover's, the welfare and safety of the horses clearly come first.
What has impressed me most over the years, however, is the atmosphere. Glover's isn't some polished, impersonal riding facility--it feels like a genuine horse community. People come here to ride and learn, but they also make friendships, children grow in confidence, families spend time together, and memories are created.
After more than 17 years of knowing this facility and the people behind it, I don't give this recommendation lightly.
