These newly opened services are family run together with the Gloucester Youth Trust and any monies made are put back into Gloucester:)- which explains why there are no burger chains or well known coffee shops, but a big light bright space with loads of fresh sandwiches, cakes and salads. The shop also sells fresh farm produce-there is a butcher and cheese counter, as well as high quality gifts. The toilets were clean and there were event showers. However, I think in the middle of summer this place could get full quickly as the car park wasn't that big! Great to see a fresh approach, but if you want a burger stop at Michael wood services!;)

There was excitement about this services, my family really like Farm Shops and we have other family in the Gloucester area so this was perfect. First impressions of this services is how different if looks from other services. The shop blends into the landscape yet when you enter there is so much space. The space is cleverly divided between the farmshop with butcher and deli service, then centre focal point is the restaurant with glass wall by the seating area at the back, then to your right a quick coffee stop. I really like what they stock in the shop as it includes proper cider with some at reasonable prices. Though farm shops can be overpriced there are a few cheaper things you can buy. My family really like the lamb pin wheels. We have yet to go to the restaurant but have recently used the coffee shop where i had a giant latte for a reasonable cost.

In the farm shop, I especially recommend checking out and getting the local milk and the cheese selection.

However as this place is so huge you'll probably still find what you are looking for. Since I've lived in Oxford I've come here about a dozen or so times. We tend to try and stick to mid evening as the crowds die down a bit and they are not quite into their horrible restocking mode. Generally you can find fresh products and a wide selection of near everything (do not come to this Tescos if you are looking for home goods/ electronics/ etc). The prices as it is Tescos are decent. The staff are generally friendly as long as you're not getting the end of shift crowd. PROS: Large selection Good quantity of stock Price CONS: Gets ultra busy Leftover stock can be of bad quality Other side of the ring road.

It's got a huge range of items, although no adult clothing (other than underwear) or much in the way of electronics/media/toys, unlike even bigger stores. For groceries, though, it's got a lot to offer. Fruit and veg are of good quality and usually well-stocked. The deli and fresh fish counters offer a lot of choice, and they even have a large 'Polish food' section. They have two 'car trolleys' which amuse small (and big) kids greatly, and make the shopping trip easier with children who are too big for the trolley seats but too small to walk all the way around without whining. Staff are friendly and helpful, and offers on food are good value.

Meats, Mr. Datcat raves about the gammon, but I'm a little bit fussy so avoid them. Just remember to take your own bags as watching tinned stuff roll away down the car park after being dropped is funny to watch isn't so funny when it's your tins.

There is no difference with a French bakery. Both had enough butter, enough chocolate bars for the pain au chocolat and were crunchy on the surface and not like a marshmallow. The kind of croissant that you do not need to put crap inside because it is good enough to eat it plain on its own. I came back in the afternoon to tell a member of the staff how great it was and bought again two pains au chocolat and two croissants. I do not know who is in charged of preparing them, but if somebody sees the person responsible, please congratulate her on my behalf and may be if the opportunity arises, this person should open a bakery in Gloucester.
