I requested an acrylic fill. The end result was so mediocre. The gel isn't smooth. It's bumpy and has weird texture. Maybe insufficient coverage of product? My gel pedicure ended with me putting my socks on and my previous acrylic just completely popped off of my toe like a press on nail and I had to make a flight so they just superglued it back on my toe. Disappointing to spend 100 bucks and I have to get them redone because it looks my niece in beauty school did the service. THIS PLACE SUCKS & IM SO IRRITATED. I came here last night with a girlfriend. I asked specifically if they do Duckfeet, and showed him a picture if what I wanted exactly. (Obviously it's pink & white powder duckfeet) The guy says yes. Okay, awesome. He starts doing his thing & just before bringing the tips out he says "Oh, we actually don't have the duck tips right now" So I say, "....oh? Well, I mean as long as you can make it work and still make the nail tip 'wide' and 'flare' I can work with that and that'll be acceptable. " He says yes he could. He continues. And THEN it brings out the acrylic powder. (Just one) so I'm confused but then I'm like okay maybe he's bringing out one at a time ... But he does the entire nail and shows it to me. I'm like "uhmmm, no? It's supposed to be pink powder and white powder" Then he says "Oh, no I didn't know you wanted pink & white powder. You said you wanted the Duckfeet SHAPE.... I didn't know you wanted it pink & white powder. That costs extra" I'm like "....?! No I wanted exactly what's on the picture.. and I know it costs extra that's fine" Also told me that It looks its gel painted on the nail i showed him" So he decides to just paint it on so it "looks" like what I wanted, but looks so stupid! He barely touched the acrylics while he was filing to shape them. HE GLUED THEM ON BACKWARDS AND THEY ARE SO UGLY AND SO NOT WHAT I WANTED. Since he had me pick the nail polish to try to match the pink part of that nail (which should've been pink powder) He started with painting all my nails pink. Then he painted on the white part of the tips but it was SO OPPOSITE WHAT I WANTED. He kept going and I'm like, "Actually, I'm sorry to stop you, but do you think we can keep them the pink & my ring fingers black?" He was like "Okay, but don't change your mind again!" WHAT?! Oh. I'm sorry that you acted like you could do Duckfeet but turns out "You don't even have the Duckfeet tips" AND YOU DIDNT KNOW I WANTED THE PINK AND WHITE POWDER FOR MY DUCKFEET EVEN THOUGH I SHOWED YOU A PIC OF DUCKFEET?!?! I went to Kathy as a walk in as my regular nail tech couldn't get me in for another day or 2 me being inpatient went to her instead honestly ruined my whole weekend :( I cried for an hr after leaving. I showed the lady my inspo pic and she said that she couldn't do the bunny so I had another option just in case simple flowers she said she was going to put flower stickers I didn't want that instead of her doing my nails she moved me to Kathy so I was thinking maybe she was better ? WRONG ! She changed the whole design said instead of solid purple she will do French tip purple okay I'm okay with that but then she started to put solid purple on my design nails which I was confused but was okay with it until she actually started the design I asked for a subtle pink or yellow flowers she came out with neon pink I asked for another she came with ANOTHER NEON COLOR ! at that point I just wanted to leave I should have but my nails were half finished I let her do her thing she then started to freestyle some crazy designs on my French tip nails. I do not recommend this nail shop one bit. The owner was very rude to me . Especially when I was telling her how I wanted my nails .. she kept jerking my fingers around pulling my hand back and forward. I got a 45 dollar pedicure no one told me it was an extra 15 for gel polish before I got it done only after when my total was 135 and I'm trying to figure out why.. my index finger on my right hand is infected my nail came off now I can't get my nails done for my birthday this month. She gave me gel press on with acrylic dip and than painted them.... I asked her two times why are you doing it this way? He is gentle, has a perfect touch, and just seems to really connect with my sole.. pun so intended! Seriously, I'm a mom of 5 and pregnant with twins. My feet can get in some pretty bad shape if I don't keep up with them and the last thing I need is to go and spend tons of money on them and leave sad. So I came in here to wax my eyebrows and was super discouraged that being I had my 1 year old with me! Given my past experiences at other salons you usually get a bad look when you bring kids! They greeted me as soon as I walked in and were super friendly. I requested to wax my eyebrows and she told me it would be a couple minuets that being they just opened and it takes time for the wax to melt. However, she asked me if I would like to get a pedicure. I told her sorry I have my 1 year old, not sure and she said don't worry I'll help you while you get your pedicure done. I thought it was extremely nice and she made my day because we all know how hard it is to get things done with kids. I walked out with my nails done and eyebrows waxed. The price was right. I should also note that a homeless man walked in and the male owner quickly apprehended him. Sore toes that have been way over worked is the reason for my much needed Pedi Pampering. What? Who needs a reason for pampering oneself!? Or a pedicure!! Needing that much needing pampering I remembered that Glossy was located over my the mailbox. Plus, since I do not have an appointment it's a win; they can see me! Yeah! Glossy nails is tucked away off Rancho and Sahara by a Thai restaurant and Smiths. The shop is very large and convenient to almost anywhere in Vegas! It's convenient located off the interstate 15 too. The shop itself is rather nice with current music playing. This upbeat music and fabulous staff are exciting. There is expertly trained staff here. The nail shop is clean and so are the individual stations where the pedicure is performed. English is the second language for all the staff; but is not an issue. They understand what I seek and deliver. Period! When I came in for the treatment the employees that were giving the pedicures were busy. It was not any worry. I did not even have to wait until these said employees were finished. They immediately started my session filling the tub full of water. I got to sit here and soak for a good ten minutes before one is the technicians was done. So relaxing! The salon offers different packages of the pedi I chose the package that includes a scrub and work with the pumice. The orange scrub that they use smells so good that you could eat it. He scrubbed all the dead skin away and the massage with this scrub was perfection. The dead skin all gone down the drain and my feet and lower legs being massaged. The tech is way skilled at the massage from the top of the foot to just below the knee. Amazing! The hot towel massage is even better. Attention to great detail was used when cleaning away all the debris and massage solutions. After a final inspection of the magnificent work and work with the Dremel. It's onto the new nails . The application of preparing my nails was smooth and welcoming pleasure since I am ready to rock these nails in my heels tonight. Feeling colorful today I decided to rock neon orange. While I was sitting here receiving my pedi I was able to catch up on my alien knowledge with "Ancient Aliens" show on cable. This is my favorite show and it's playing all day. First visit: Literally zero stars. I got a $70 pedicure the lady did absolutely nothing, it was worse then a basic pedicure I had to beg her to remove the dead skin from my toes. Sitting there pointing it out to her (fighting with her to do the service I was overpaying for) she tried to do gel even after I told her regular paint. Then, after throwing an attitude, she told me that she didn't have the color I wanted in regular paint even though I had already asked them if the color came both in gel and regular paint and they said that they did. The color was pearl white. PEARL WHITE. What nail salon doesn't have pearl white paint. I asked her to bring me the colors and she said this is all we have (one swatch of colors) I said you're lying. She got up and got me the rest of the colors. Manipulation after manipulation to up charge. No massage. No callous removal. Terrible attitude and blatant dishonesty so she could try to upcharge me and add extra services. Then had the nerve to ask me for a tip. I thought this may have been the lady and didn't want to judge the salon and it's close to my house so I tried again. I explained I had a bad experience paying for a luxury service last time so I was just going to get a basic bc I have an event tomorrow. A man started my service and he was actually really good but switched out halfway bc he had ab appointment. The lady that took over literally squiggled white paint over the top of my misshapen, uneven tonails and called it a day. It looked like a kindergarten art project. I said no. Just paint it white I gotta go. She did while not masking her irritation. THEN THIS LADY TRIED TO ADD A BUNCH OF THINGS TO MY BILL INCLUDING 8$ for POLISH REMOVAL. POLISH REMOVAL. And $10 for a nail fix. ONE NAIL. Nearly doubling the price of the service. I said I'm not paying that take it off. The removed the "nail polish removal fee and I said I'm not coming back here. I went for a pedi and it turned out to be the worst pedi experience ever I! have never posted a negative review but this was the worst so I feel compelled to share because I don't want anyone else to get hurt like I did. I only gave one star because I had to. Should be negative stars! The man was rude and poked me with the cuticle cutter. Okay, maybe a bad day and not paying attention. The second time he hurt me with the cuticle cutter because for whatever stupid reason he decided to use it on top of my toe and cut a triangle shape of skin off the top of my toe and it bled. Wow, you hurt me I told him and he said sorry like three times. The third time he hurt me he purposefully put acetone on cotton and then for no reason he wiped the top of my toe where he had pierced and cut the top of my toe. I was livid. I told him to get away from me and asked him why he was purposefully hurting me. He left and went into the back room for a bit and the lady from the front apologized and said she would fix the terrible job he had done on my French pedi and that she was going to take $20 off. She clearly saw what he had done to me and she said she would fix it and that she was sorry. She did the pedi but when it was time to pay she didn't take the $20 off.
