Horrible service! Don't go!!!! Pathetic the whole way!!!!…read more They Broke my plastic cover in my motor that covers the belt --- it was screwed down with 2 screws / missing 1 --- and one of their techs just ripped it off like he's never worked on a Yamaha 15 before, and broke it!! They Had my boat for 6 weeks ( for a $7 part) and I had to call them almost daily and never get a call back Sandy was the worst at communicating with me about the repair process/ she would never call me back when she said she would (2/3 times a week for 6 weeks) Then to top it all off after. broken plastic cover, 6 weeks in shop, and never called for updates... The mechanic lied right to my face!!!!!! I asked him if they had run the motor for few hours to make sure nothing else sounds bad or has same issue... he said yes he ran it for a couple hours and it was "night and day difference" But I have a mini tachometer connected and it was ran for 10-20 minutes tops!!! What a shitty way to operate a business and to treat people!! The mechanic lied right to my face and was confident when he said his lie to me!!! I also was picking my gheenoe up in a rain storm and didn't get to see all this pathetic work closely until I got home and inspected it more without it raining on me. I then found damages to my 2 week old foam mat deck flooring 1 looks like cat marks ripped into it and the 2nd damage looks like someone threw a tool or something on it and sliced it right open And the motor is only 1.5 years old with 6 year warranty But I still got charged $ 294 in labor!!!!! Then sandy gave me discount to $200! Pathetic pathetic pathetic Scott the owner has always been very helpful and kind but I wonder if he even knows the shitty way some people are treated when he is not around to baby sit his employees that lie to customers, damage and break parts in motors and why he will lose more and more business

I've brought my boat to them 6 times this past year For Yamaha engine problems. They are Yamaha…read moreservices providers and a Yamaha dealer Each time they worked on my boat they had it at least 3 weeks- 4 weeks (20 weeks total). They kept telling me different parts that needed to be changed each time and that would fix my problem. I would get my boat back, take it out, and to my surprise each time the boat was not fixed (it would run abd coming back it would breakdown). initially I was told they couldn't put my motor on a computer because of corroded ends. I finally brought my boat to another mechanic (Yamaha certified) and they hooked it up to a computer and found 5 errors. I am now re-powering. I don't mind spending a dollar to fix something or replace something bad. I just feel like San Carlos Marine are "part changers" and should not be servicing boats. Each time i felt like I should go elsewhere but thought by going to the same place I would have a record of the repairs, warranty, and building a rapport. I did call the owner Scott to express my dissatisfaction and reached his voice mail. I did leave a lengthy message about how I felt I was taken advantage of and they never fixed my problem. To date I have not received a return call from Scott. Recommendation- Do Not use this Company.

I had a very serious situation with my boat after the hurricane that needed immediate attention or…read moreit was in jeopardy of sinking. Water from the lake was coming in over the stern from the relentless rocking. The automatic bilge drained water until the battery died where it collected inside the boat. George answered my call upon me calling him after the storm and he came over that day. He changed out the battery for me which allowed the boat to finally be able to drain out all of the water it collected within the boat. He also solved issues related to electrical wiring and other problems within the motor caused by excessive water exposer. George saved my boat and I am extremely grateful for him and his willingness to get to work on the problems immediately and relentlessly. I could tell that George was not going to stop until he found solutions to fix the boat and I really appreciate that. At one point, George even got himself fully submerged into the lake to fix the bottom plug which helps stop water in the bottom parts of the hull. George was willing to do whatever it took to get the job done and I am so thankful for his service. I really agree with what another commenter said about George and I will reiterate what he said -- George is smart, honest and fair. If you need help with your boat, George is the best call you can make.

I live in Seattle and had agreement to buy a boat in fort Meyers. I needed a boat inspection so I…read morefound Brian marine services on google search. I called Brian and he agreed to do a boat inspection and wanted to charge me $600, within minutes he collected my payment over the phone although we had not schedule a time for inspection yet. When he did go out for the inspection 2 days later, he called me after the about 30 minutes on the job and he said he was done. He told me the boat was great and but there was a leak otherwise everything is good with compression check at 150psi. I ask him for pictures of the engine and invoice. Unfortunately he was only able to give me a 8 seconds video of the leak and nothing else. His invoice were hand written with couple of notations. That was it for $600 for 30 minutes of his time. I then called my local mechanic and showed him the invoice and the Video. My mechanic then called Brian directly and asked him for pictures, which he had none. He asked him give the compression check of all the cylinders and the PSI. Brian responded they were all good and couldn't give him specific. He asked Brian, did you see all the rust in the engine? Was is sunken? Brian responded is Florida. My mechanic keep questioning but Brian had no answer. My mechanic told me to get another boat inspection because Brian didn't do anything especially in 30 minutes. I then spoke to the seller, and he said I wasn't going to tell you anything but he showed up shirtless smoking and continue to smoke during the inspection in the bilge. The seller even pointed out the issues but Brian ignored it. I called Brian and told him about all the issues I had with this inspection. I told him you need refund me $300 as I have to hire another boat mechanic to re-do his work. If he doesn't I will go on yelp let people know of my experience. He said no and continue to say that the seller has his own pictures. Really?? I hired Brian to work for me and give an objective view of the engine. All he did was spent 30 minutes and gave me 8 seconds video and said everything is good, when there were obvious things the selller, my local mechanic and I can see. It is my fault I should of researched Brian more and not take the first person that took the job. If you look up Brian marine services, you can tell there were many people share similar experiences on Yelp, google, and Angie's list. I wish I could give him zero star and put the heading as "STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY".
