Can't blame them for what you didn't do. Any time I make a purchase for that amount of money I usually spend time on forums seeing what other people have done. It's best to learn from their mistakes instead of making your own. No type of dealership is perfect whether it's cars, boats or motorcycles and Boater's Landing is no different. You should always do your research and be on your guard when you deal with salesmen that work on commission... Here is a photo of my boat that I purchased from them. It is also a Key West 239FS but it has a 300hp on it. It will do between 50-55 mph depending on water conditions and load.

After a year in the boat has had multiple minor issues that Billy lied and told us was under warranty, refusing to fix by saying "its my problem" . We purchased a 239fs powered by a Yamaha 200ph, if you call any other dealership they will refuse to ever take the boat on trade due to be WAY Underpowered. When I brought this to Billys attention, he told me "tuff shit I already purchased it" after that he asked me if I wanted to trade my boat back in so he can collect another percentage of commission. I could not believe this actually came out of a business owners mouth. After calling calling around to other key west dealers, I have found many others are treated the same. I would suggest asking around before pulling the trigger like I did. From out customer service to how

Stokes built us the dock WE wanted, while other company's proposals were often trying to talk us out of things. In the planning stages their "we can do that!" attitude, the way Nick returned phone calls quickly, his enthusiastic professionalism set them apart from other builders. We were happy with the type/specifications of the lift they included in the bid plus the canopy and tiki sub-contractors they chose. They were not the lowest bidders but we felt assured that they would deliver quality work. And they 100% did. This positive attitude followed through into the construction phase where the crews showed up as scheduled and, once they started, worked non-stop from 8am to dark, and even weekends sometimes. They worked like an efficient, well-managed team. Credit to the team lead Rod for his positive can-do attitude, work ethic and attention to detail which you could clearly tell inspired his crew to live up to his standards. We really can't say enough good things about Stokes. We absolutely LOVE our dock. I mean how often do you get to design and build a dock! Enjoy it!! An initial estimate took months to receive, and significant changes were made along the way without prior approval, resulting in costs far exceeding what was originally discussed. Communication and documentation were ongoing concerns, and we ultimately had to spend additional time and money addressing issues after the boat was returned. Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend getting a detailed written contract and clear change-order process in place before proceeding.

Our boat was damaged in IAN so i took it to Walkers for repair of Gelcoat, powdercoat and electronics connections. The repairs were supposedly completed 6 weeks later. I showed up late in the day to pick up the boat by water. The boat was absolutely filthy even though I was told it was washed. The electronics were not repaired, the powder coat repairs were further gouged and scuffed by the "cleaning" crew. I reached out to Kim the service manager with no replies. I then spoke with management who assured me they would come to my home for the repairs which never happened. I was forced to hire another company at my cost. I disputed the charges by walkers with Capital One to no avail because walkers argued it. They are dishonest and it was theft in my opinion. NEVER USE WALKERS!!

Horrible Experience for Boat repair- Below is a summary of…read morethe worst customer service and most abusive charges I have ever experienced. February 15 -We asked for our Fountain boat to be serviced as it would start but then die. We were told it would be about 2 weeks. We called over the next weeks and it still had not been even evaluated. In April the boat was finally entered into queue for evaluation and it was promised 4/21. we received a quotation to do a tune up and annual service. We were quoted $1787 and approved it. All of this was in writing. The actual charge we paid was $1812 We continued to ask about status and were told it was being worked on. We would stop in and be told "Stewart" was not there. Emails were not replied to for weeks. Finally the work was completed in June. We had the boat put in the water in July and when we arrived, it still did not run. No one had tested it even though they told us it was fixed. It stayed in for service. I asked for weeks for the status with no replies. The next communication in September was that we needed to replace the fuel pump, boost pump, fuel pump assy and miscellaneous and the quote was $2292.78. We approved this written quote in writing. We paid $2584.00 I asked for updates again in writing with poor responses as we did not hear anything. September 28th- We were told it need to have the fuel injectors cleaned and repaired. We approved in writing another written quote for $1705.75. I stated in writing when we approved this that it was approved based on WMG's assurance this would be the final fix. Instead of being a final fix, we received a bill for $4050.84. There was no written quotation for the first time and therefore no approval. They not only did not have approval for the $4K charge but charged it without our knowledge to our cc they kept on file. When we called to discuss they said they had to talk to their boss and would call back the next day. We heard nothing from them because they just charged it. I put a hold on the $4K and agreed to pay the only amount that had been approved $1700. This is the only way they called back. We asked repeatedly to speak with the Manager or the owner. They refused. Instead they went back and forth negotiating and we finally agreed to a figure of $3300 which was $1600 more than it should have been. Stay Away from the service company here. We don't have a trailer so did not have a lot of choices but will find another choice in the future. We keep our boat at the Marina which has since been bought be another company.
