Kelly arrived promptly on the day of and immediately got to work. She was never obtrusive while getting shots done. She works in a business-like and professional manner with a lot of sensitivity to the wedded couple. Family photos were a bit of a hassle because our family members kept wandering off or not listening to directions- Kelly handled them with patience and tolerance and we got the shots we wanted! I really loved working with Kelly when it was just the couple photos. She was really great at directing us and getting the photos we will treasure forever. I was very nervous about having to be photographed all day but she put me completely at ease and would show us shots on the digital camera just to keep us involved with how the photos were looking. At the reception she did a magnificent job of capturing the special moments on the dance floor without ever interrupting things- she would see a moment happening a capture it right there! This is different from my experience at other weddings where the photographers are in the way or trying to get guests to recreate a candid moment. DAY OF THE SHOOT: We met up on campus at UCLA and he explained to me that I could suggest places where I wanted pictures specifically or that he could also find areas that would look great in pictures. I suggested a few spots on campus and we went to take the pictures. I wasn't sure about what poses to do, but Javier was prepared with examples of poses I can do. We did the standard headshot, he guided me with how to pose with my sash, as well as placed me where the light would come out best. He was very warm, professional, and paid attention to detail throughout the shoot. RECEIVING THE PICTURES: Javier let me know that there would be about a week period until I would receive the final photos. However, to my delight, he delivered the pictures within 3 days of the shoot! He delivered them through a google drive link that only I had access to. All the pictures were impeccable quality. WOULD I HIRE HIM AGAIN? Definitely. He was very caring, easy to work with, and genuine about delivering the best pictures he could. I recommend Javier to anybody that is looking for a photographer that cares about the client's vision and the type of memory they want to convey. A great photographer!
