I'm certain that I do not need to review this amazing store, but I will anyways, just for kicks. The displays are inviting, wanting you to shop for these attractively laid out items despite what your bank account tells you. High end merchandise, friendly staff, and ample areas to roam about as you take in the beauty of this store. We ended up in the area that sells food, wines, and cheeses. WOW is all that I can say. Each item seems as though it is was hand polished, set down with precision, only waiting for you to pick it up and place it in your basket. The cheese, chocolates, wines, all so spectacular in their own right. No on argues that this store is more expensive than others such as COOP, or Migros, but they are in different leagues. The wine department has a beautiful assortment of wines, liquors, and spirits with very thoughtful associates able to answer many questions. We enjoyed this very much. This store is designed for those who are able to spend their money without worrying about what the bill looks like. With that being said, we walked out without buying anything as we just started our day in Zurich. This store is mesmerizing, you must stop in and appreciate its beauty, even if you don't plan on buying anything. It is simply a treat. read more

To be honest most places in Zurich really confuse me. I'll go into a store thinking I can afford something and it will be 23098403284CHF, and then I'll enter another store thinking the opposite and it's only 30CHF... say what? So here I am in Globus attempting to find some jewelry as a present. I initially assume there's no point, but then I stumble across one counter that has a lot of very lovely earrings between 35 and 65 CHF. Jackpot! This counter was located right at the front of the entrance to Lowenstrasse. The ladies behind the counter were also very sweet and patient with my god awful German. I ended up buying two gifts from here, both at very reasonable prices. I have also dined at the little Globus cafe. Maybe it's not listed? I don't know the name of it. It has quite a lot of food at reasonable prices. But the salads are all over 15CHF which is kind of strange considering the prices of the sandwiches (~8-10). Die Leute hier sind nett und freundlich. Their outdoor food carts are a very convenient way of grabbing a quick delicious bite for lunch at reasonable prices. There are 3 carts. One for sandwiches, with a giant smoker for their roast beef sandwich with chimichurri sauce; a bakery cart; and a pretzel cart. Of course I got the roast beef sandwich. Looking at that smoker, I could not resist. The roast beef is a bit fatty, but very tasty, especially with the spicy chimichurri sauce. The bread is kind of bulky but delicious, which I think probably appeals to the masses too. This location is great, right by the Pestalozzianlage square. It does get crowded at lunch time, but the lines gets moved along pretty quickly. On nice sunny days, it's a good place to sit down on the lawn while eating a yummy sandwich. I went in today to buy a purse and found out that there is some type of Globus customer card that gives you 2% off purchases, yay! It's free to sign up, so of course I signed up to get my discount. The saleslady also mentioned something about 10% at a certain time, maybe end of the year? But between her English and my fuzzy brain due to lack of sleep, I didn't catch exactly what all the details were. I just know that once you get the card, then you have to use it for all payments, but then you can go downstairs to pay off the card--using any form of payment you wish, like a credit card or something. It's a weird concept, because it doesn't seem to be exactly a credit card, but I'm not complaining because I got my discount. :) read more

It is a big store that has everything you need.The prices vary depends on the brand.If you have a member card you can get 10% discount on the first day of registering it lasts 24 hours then they add points to your account. read more

I grew up in Switzerland, and I always loved Globus. Yes, it is on the pricey side, but they do have nice things. I especially love the food section. I have to say though, I do prefer the Globus in Bern. I think it is a bit better, but it doesn't take anything away from the one in Züri. read more
