Generally, I have it under control, but when it flares, it flares. The PT exercises and other tools I typically used to manage it were no longer really helping. Enter Myo and Dr. Bahar Gord. Right from the first assessment, she was so attentive and really listened to my concerns. She watched my movement and honed in immediately on what was plaguing me and saw the full picture, not just the one issue. I told her I already had an arsenal of exercises -- the typical core, glute, hip flexor approaches and that I was looking for something that would be complimentary. She immediately saw something deeper and ever since, she has been incredible. I have learned a whole new set of PT exercises and an approach to the deep core that I had been missing from prior exercises (which aren't wrong or bad, they just weren't getting to the core of the issue. See what I did there? Lolzzz). Anywho, Bahar is a body mechanics master. She introduced a range of new exercises and a focus on deep core modalities to retrain my entire physiology. She explains the physics of each in easy to visualize and understand language. I called first to see if they accepted my insurance, and was told "Yes" - that once my deductible was met I would only have a $30 copay. Okay. I went for my initial consultation, and when I checked out I paid $140 for the evaluation - fine, this is part of my deductible. But, when I confirmed that once this is met, I would only be paying the $30 copay, I was told that... in truth... while they take my insurance they aren't actually in my network so the copay is most likely going to be $80 per session. Why was I not informed of this when I called to specifically ask about insurance?? The place seems fine, and I cannot speak to the quality of their services yet, but the communication needs to be much better. I have just spent $140 for a consultation, and I now have to look elsewhere and start again.

I had been to pelvic floor therapists who helped to a degree but still left me in pain. Thank god I found April. She knows stuff other physically therapists and even doctors do not know. She is hands down the best. Life changing. I went from laying in bed all day in pain, to pain free. It doesn't happen over night and it takes a lot of commitment. Stick with it. Doctors wanted to discard me as a crazy woman and just give me pain pills to numb the pain, but April said NO and I'm so happy she did. Without pain pills we got me to pain free. Multiple doctors told me in needed multiple surgeries but they were wrong and April knew it. When I first started with April, I didn't think it was working. But I'm so glad I stuck with it. There's lots of layer to unwrap and it takes time to build trust and to start seeing results. My best advice is to not give up on yourself and to stick with it. April really knows what she is doing. It doesn't happen overnight. It took me at least 10 months of treatment but it was so worth it to get out of pain. No one tells you how hard childbirth can be on your body. But don't be discouraged. I am posting this to document a serious concern regarding Pro Health Physical Medicine's BioTE…read morepellet insertion practices. Both my father and I previously received BioTE pellets from another provider with consistently positive results and without these types of problems. We sought treatment at this office only because our previous provider became unavailable and this office was listed publicly as a BioTE provider. Before treatment, I specifically asked twice whether the office was in fact using genuine BioTE brand pellets, and I was told yes. However, based on the outcome and the surrounding circumstances, I have serious reason to question whether that representation was accurate. Following pellet insertion at this office, neither my father nor I experienced the same beneficial response we had with prior BioTE treatment. Instead, both of us experienced significant adverse effects, including reactions we had never experienced before with our previous BioTE provider, including what felt like allergic-type reactions. In addition, the follow-up process raised further concerns. Garrett Glapa stated that he would personally handle the necessary lab work and specifically represented that my father's testosterone and estrogen levels would be tested. When the results were returned, those expected hormone tests were missing. Instead, unrelated or less relevant tests appeared, which did not seem to reflect proper monitoring of pellet response. Another concern was the lack of transparency during the procedure itself. Our prior BioTE provider would show us the BioTE pellet bottle before insertion. That did not occur at this office. Taken together, the unexpected adverse reactions, the missing expected hormone labs, and the lack of product transparency have left me with serious concerns regarding what was actually provided and whether this office is accurately representing its BioTE services. I have already reported these concerns to BioTE directly. Based on this experience, I do not recommend this office to anyone seeking BioTE treatment. I strongly urge prospective patients to verify exactly what product is being inserted and to obtain clear written confirmation of all follow-up lab testing in advance.

My first appointment was around Christmas/new years and they were able to fit in me quickly for the initial exam. I saw a few different people at first and just booked whoever was available, but started to book Ron and Ephraim since their time and availability always seemed to work with my schedule. I could definitely feel my knee/leg getting stronger and was often sore (in a good workout kind of way) and they never pushed me when I couldn't complete any sets. They really listened to feedback when I was sore and had pain and adjusted the entire workout around my feedback as well as the post workout treatment. I had a great experience with everyone including the front desk which was great with providing the receipts I needed for my hsa/fsa claims. She took the time to truly listen and understand my complex symptoms. And yes -- pelvic floor dysfunction was a major part of it. I have interstitial cystitis (IC), and pelvic floor dysfunction is a significant component of my condition. Because of Heather, I continue to improve. She helped me avoid unnecessary procedures and guided me away from doctors who were pushing for drastic surgeries like hysterectomies. She listens. She cares. Up front, I found core conditioning through my insurance, so it may not be an option for you depending on what you have. Their "thing" (I guess) is the "red rope" system. I've worked with two different therapists: one whose name I can't remember and Ashley. Both were professional and good at their jobs, the first was just... Kind of rude? It's tough to explain, but he often seemed like I was wasting his time. Ashley however is GREAT! Cannot recommend her more. There is also free parking in the structure under the building, which is nice. Last, I will say that the way they do their scheduling could use a revisit. They book out by the month, and I understand that people cancel appointments all the time, but what ends up happening is unless you boom your appointment on the DAY that they open up the schedule it becomes really difficult to book an appointment. Which is great, maybe showing how busy they are, except then whenever I go there's no one else there... Overall though, would definitely recommend.
