It's been a year since we moved out of Kelly House and it was nothing but a nightmare, especially management. First, it doesn't appear like they care about you - the tenants. They'll treat you 'nice' as long as you don't complain. If you have an issue.. good luck because they don't care. When you bring the same issue over and over again with them, they'll twist things around and make you look like the bad guy. Second, Caroline. It appears that she gets paid extra to be a S artist. It's quite hilarious that she will always come up with an excuse to every single problem that you might have. Then, she'll make thrle situation look like you're the problem. Third, damage deposit. They ended up charging a couple hundred bucks over a few minor scratches on the kitchen floor. Unless you drove that contractor from the other end of the province to "fix" that floor, I can't see how these "damages" are 400$. Fourth, it appears that some of their former employees hate the company. Just research them on google and find out for yourself. Fifth, if I can offer you an advice.. Just say NO to them. One of the worst property management company in Winnipeg.Highly unethical and zero regard for RTB guidelines.With years of management and acquisitions, they have became an oligarchy and thinks they can do whatever they want to do.When moving out i have cleaned top to bottom, expecting a full return of my deposit back.After a week, i got a bill saying i owed money back to them after taking my deposit.This is one of the biggest looting i have seen in my life.After taking them to the RTB, i have successfully recovered my money back, but i wonder how many tenants they should have looted. This is day time robbery, and they should have done to this the enormous amount of newcomers and international students.Authorities needs to take strict actions against this kind of Property management. read more

Miranda - Resident Manager - Century Grants I have been living with globe for several years now, barely deal with management itself .I would really like to thank Miranda our care taker,who has always been there whenever we need to get any stuff fixed, or if have any issues in our apartment, for all quick phone responses. Once we had a rent issue and was very hard to be in touch with globe itself, i talked to her and she solved my problem within a day by getting in touch with them. She is such a wonderful person, i wanted to shift to some bigger apartments, due to such a wonderful experience living here, me and my husband decides to move one of their other properties that are huge, and we are glad we have Miranda again as our Resident Manager. read more

The crappiest company ever! Lived in one of their apartment buildings. They never gave 24 hours notice of showing the apartment, sometimes they would just show up at our door with people without any notice saying they are coming in to show the apartment. Make you have your apartment professionally cleaned and threatened that if it is not up to their standards that they will keep your damage deposit and charge you for extra cleaning costs. ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY TO RENT FROM! Unless this is your only option please, for your sake, look else where. read more

This is the worst experience I ever had in my life, this company will take all your deposit and charge you for the renovation of the whole unit. We moved out from one of the apartments under Globe management and they sent us a move-out statement which shocked us all as after they deducted all our deposit money ($565) we have to pay an extra amount of $682.22 and no one notices us about any charge until we received the bill. We've tried to clean the house from top to bottom before we leave but as they said it's not professional cleaning so we okay to pay for the cleaning charges, however, the most unreasonable charges are Tub Refinish, Shower Tiles & Closet Door damage, so we called one of the managers her name is Caroline to discuss these charges, we asked why do we have to pay for this charge as this is bathtub is old steel one with cheap paint on it and the paint will peel off over the time use, also we have no idea what Shower Title charge is, we asked for all pictures and breakdown invoice but she said "WE ONLY PROVIDE THESE THINGS IN COURT" so if we want to see them they will bring this to the court and we have to pay all court fee. This is an absolutely win-lose situation as we did take a picture of the unit before we leave because we think this is considered a big company in town so we trust them and did cover our ass. After all, she agreed to remove the door closet damaged charge ($82.22) as we said this door felt off right after few weeks we moved in, we call the site manager and they sent a technician came and he fixed it but it's felt off again a few days later, it's really about the quality of the door is too bad. This is still unfair for us but no choice as we don't want to go to court, we sent an email to ask the account manager Noreen send us the revised invoice after deduction so we can pay accordingly but they said: "We are still waiting for some invoices.  We might have it available to you by tomorrow" but they didn't send anything so I have to follow up 2 times for about 2 weeks after. They sent a revised invoice with a $2.50 deduction, I said this is not the amount of what Caroline agreed to deduct, then they said: "Caroline instructed us not to reduce the amount as no plan had been put in place to date", so in my mind, Caroline is the most unprofessional and childish manager I've ever dealt with in my life, they didn't send us a revised invoice and ask us to pay right away. Finally, after back and forth emails, she has to give us the revised invoice at $600 we decided to pay all to end this horrible experience and this is the best money for a trust lesson. I totally agree. These units are unhealthy and unsafe. Full of black mold and other allergens. They have ignored City ordinances about bringing the electrical up to code. The building manager and the owner knew about repairs that needed to be done in units for years and did nothing. Renovations were done but only to the hallways and the front lobby. Good choice. Lets make up bullshit reasons to raise the rent but not do any renovations to the units. They didn't even.do any repairs to the units. No wonder people are leaving in droves. This building didn't even have hot water for 1 month. People are sick and were unreasonabley inconvenienced for 6 months during the renovations because the front lobby was blocked off. They even retiled the elevators. Who the hell does that????? Another reason the landlord gave for raising the rent was for landscaping. Im from BC and I know from landscaping. THERE IS NO LANDSCAPING BECAUSE THERE ISNT ANY LAND TO LANSCAPE. The building is a fire hazard and if there was a ffire people would die because there is no door that opens in the underground garage. This is note worthy because during a fire the power is automatically shut off. So there must be a door that can open in every part of the building. It should never have passed the fire safety inspection. Obviously the owner knows people at city hall and has greased hands to turn a blind eye to the health and safety violations. Whats it gonna take does someone have to die before the owner smartens up? read more

This is the absolutely the worst company that I have ever rented from. They don't return your calls when things break like our air conditioning stopped working on a Friday night I called their office repeatedly expressing that it was 95 degrees fahrenheit in my apartment, never heard back from them on Monday the AC company called me to get my address. We've been late with the rent a couple of times they will harass you by calling every day plus send texts every day even though you have already spoken to them and let them know when you would pay said rent and I have recently read over the laws of landlord tenant rent issues and I have learned that their leases are illegal for the types off fees they are changing. (if a contract does not follow the letter of the law it is illegal and nulls that contract.) I can go on alot more but it would become a novel. Don't trust this company if you rent or buy real-estate from them do your homework. I didn't and now regret it. I would give them Zero stars. read more

By far the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. Rent increases of 25% per year, failure to maintain apartments, bills for absolutely everything imaginable (they charge $20 for keys!), and a culture of fear (Globe will threaten you with eviction if you file a complaint with the Residential Tenancies Branch). Do yourself a favor and don't even consider renting from this horrible excuse of a landlord. read more

been here only 2 months and am awaiting the completion of the pool side of tower b at effel tower on goulet..The so called workers you have hired for cement work have very little accomplished other than jackhammer noise and dust every day. i say havent done much is understatement because there only down at work for a few hours and sometimes there gone right after lunch. If you have that kind of wasted effort going on and monies spent on wages i would just as soon you lowered my rent. To top it off this am three of your engineers came by and did a bunch of tests and now these so called workers are ripping up the cement work they have been doing and start all over again.Most of thie time has been sweeping water and or dust for a few hours and then calling it a day.. If i had known this would have been going for last two months i would have found something different read more
