Unfortunately, I wasn't greeted when I walked in--even after I cheerfully said, "Hello, how are you?" There was no response back besides a look, and when I asked about availability, the response I received felt cold and dismissive. One of the women at the front desk did seem kind--I wish I had spoken only with her. As someone who just moved to the area, I was hoping to get some helpful information and maybe become a new customer. I rarely leave reviews, but the interaction left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. It's a shame, because the place itself looks great. But based on that first impression, I won't be returning. The way I was treated made me feel like a bother rather than a valued potential customer.

Madi was super friendly and did a wonderful job on my hair. I came in with three months of regrowth since my last balayage appointment at another salon. She was able to listen to what I wanted and blended my previous lightened pieces with my roots for a more natural grow out. She also got rid of all my warm brassy color and delivered a beautiful beige, cool toned bronde color that I was not expecting. The Salon itself is very spacious and clean. There's only two hair stylists and one barber on site. I believe there also have two nail techs in the salon as well.I highly recommend!

She was able to flawlessly replicate what we wanted and took her time on each of us. Additionally, the salon itself is large, clean, and offers a large selection of coffees and teas. She gave me the best shave I had in a while - and really helped me understand how to plan for my next haircut, she even wrote down the style of cut and lengths I should ask for if I didn't make it back to her for my next cut (I lived out of the country at the time of the haircut and was just visiting) Since I have moved back to Maine, I wanted Sierra to cut my hair again - so I called and asked if I Sierra was there, a woman confirmed she was there - but told me I couldn't schedule an appointment with her, because the business is strictly walk-in only. I asked to speak to Sierra and she just pretended like I didn't even ask, and said that if I, "Come right now, since no one is in the shop." I could probably get her. So... Sierra - 5 stars. I was really looking to have a regular visit with you. The business structure just doesn't work for me, as I have limited time and require appointments. To the business... 2/5. And here's why: Prices are fair. the only good experience with the business itself. When I moved back to Maine 6-8 weeks ago - I called and explained my experience with Sierra and explained I forgot her name/what chair she was at. I said I think it was the first chair - and the lady who answered the phone goes, "Oh! I remember you, yeah!" and told me to come in. When I got in, I let her know she definitely wasn't the person who cut my hair and she let me know it was Sierra. I asked this new girl, let's call her "First chair lady"... not to cut the right side of my hair and to let it grow. She got distracted with conversation - and completed trimmed 3/4" off the right side of my head... That I was attempting to grow out entirely and completely screwed up the plan and path that Sierra helped me understand would give me the desired hairstyle. Cut was $14 - I gave her $20 and told her to keep it. Even when you displease me as a customer, I still treat your employees well. And you can't let me build a relationship with one person in your shop? Absurd. So, to anyone reading: 1.) Don't let the lady in the first chair cut your hair. Or if you do - make sure she doesn't talk with the other girls in the shop when she is cutting your hair. 2.) Sierra is truly an example of a professional who enjoys and understands her duties - and executes them exceptionally well. (second chair, I learned that after the mistake of a haircut I was given on my last visit) 3. They don't do appointments apparently. Good luck with the barber chair roulette. It took me TWO MONTHS to get the right side of my hair back where it was. Now I have to try to find another barber shop. -.- If you read this Sierra - Please post a reply so I can get in contact with you. I would absolutely pay you, with a generous tip - if you could find a way to cut my hair privately, outside of your working hours... Since your business can't accommodate my schedule. Thanks Sierra.

This barber shop that I am talking about is located at 611 Hammond St in Bangor and this review is about them. I would say that they have a nice and clean place. You don't need to make a reservation because it's a first come first serve. The price is descent and reasonable compared to the other barber shop in the area.They don't accept credit cards, it's either cash or check only. They have two women barbers working on separate schedules, one on Tuesday and Thursday only and other one is on Monday,Wednesday and Friday, they close on the weekend. Megan did well on my haircut, she did what I am asking her to do and she is very friendly (it was my first time here) I would say if you're looking for just a regular haircut with no fancy hairstyles with an affordable price this is the place to be.
