I've moved on, unfortunately…read more About 3 years ago I came in for a scheduled cavity. I hadn't had one in 30 years. Do I remember them using a giant needle in my mouth to numb me? No, but did they 30 years ago? no idea! I didn't feel properly informed for the cavity and was in for a rude surprise. I did ask what I should do to prepare ahead of time for the filling procedure... No mention of a needle. I got it done still, but they were dismissive of all my questions before and afterwards. Maybe I was drooling, or maybe they should have mentioned the dramatic details of the procedure, when they suggested I should get a filling, and then scheduled the filling . I know I'm a grown *ss adult, but damn. I switched my dentist right after this event.

My second visit was today, July 6, 2026 for preparation of two temporary crowns. Dr. Owen's and his staff explained everything in detail including the costs of today's work which wouldn't be anything out of pocket today until they receive what the insurances would pay. My experience today was pain free and was under 1 hour time total. They used 3D scans for the crown fitting. I truly didn't feel the numbing needle to remove a prior temporary crown, clean the area and refit the same temporary from a previous dentist (Efficient and efficacious). I generally do not like the numbing sensation that comes with dental work because it makes me feel like I had a stroke. I didn't feel the numbing needle at all and the sensation lasted only about 2 hours in total in which I've experienced it lasting much longer like 5 to 6 hours. His assistant, Allison, was very professional and expedient. All around great experience both visits from Dr. Owen's and his staff; Jacqueline, Molly, Paulina, and Allison. I'm still getting to know names and faces so please forgive me if I missed anyone). Looking forward to my next visit for my permanent crowns and future visits for my implant abutments and crowns. Also Dr. Owens gave me an excellent referral to Dr. Schmakel for implant evaluations which was an amazing experience.

They're professional and knowledgeable while maintaining a comfortable and friendly environment. The lady at the front desk (sorry I didn't catch her name) was welcoming and was helpful with my very specific scheduling needs as well as my insurance questions. Michelle, the hygienist was great. She was well knowledged in her work. (She confirmed for me that I don't have periodontal disease which the last dentist I was seeing said I do have) After my cleaning with Michelle, Dr. Kakos Came and did the followup work. You can tell she takes pride in her work and cares about her patients, which was confirmed because her cell phone # is on her business card. I'd highly recommend Dr. Kakos and her office and staff!

I'm sharing this review as a mother who invested thousands of dollars trying to ensure her daughter…read morereceived quality cosmetic dental care--only to be deeply disappointed by the outcome and then contacted by an attorney after voicing our experience. I'm writing this with caution and sincerity, as I believe consumers have the right to honest feedback and transparency, especially when it involves health care. My personal experience with Dr. Kakos and her team was frustrating and disheartening. After my daughter received dental implants, we trusted this office to handle the cosmetic restoration. What followed were multiple appointments filled with color mismatches, design issues, and blame placed on everything except the care provided--from my daughter's gum and tooth structure to previous orthodontic work, and even the implant surgeon's technique. None of these explanations changed the fact that the results simply did not look right. Despite staff repeatedly saying the teeth looked "beautiful," my daughter was left with gray-toned, short crowns that appeared unnatural. The only solutions offered were invasive and unnecessary, in my opinion, such as gum surgery or shaving down healthy teeth to compensate. This left us feeling stuck, pressured, and ultimately misled. Thankfully, we found another provider, Dr. Danyal at Berkley Dental, who corrected the work in under two hours. The difference was immediate and validating. It's important to note that after initially posting my experience, I was contacted by legal counsel representing Dr. Kakos. I was disheartened--but not surprised--that a professional response came in the form of legal threats rather than genuine concern for patient satisfaction. I believe in patients' rights to speak about their care without being silenced or intimidated. So here I am again, stating clearly and respectfully: based on my experience, I would not recommend this practice for advanced or cosmetic procedures. If you're considering more than a routine cleaning, I strongly suggest seeking a second opinion. This review reflects my own experience and opinion and is protected under federal and state consumer rights laws, including the First Amendment and the Consumer Review Fairness Act. I share it not with malice, but with a hope to inform and protect others.

I called to make an appointment as a new patient and new referral from my current dentist. She was very frazzled on the phone responding very rudely when I was giving her my information. I felt like a huge inconvenience to her the whole conversation. They have a no scent/fragrance policy and she was basically practically yelling at me saying that you must follow these instructions because everybody keeps not following them .And then she told me that they do their own x-rays there. She stated that if I had any x-rays previously done that they wouldn't accept them because they will only take their own .And I told her I just had X-rays done a week ago and they were high-quality 3-D x-rays mind you. She said no that if the dentist needs a particular picture of a certain area, then he would have to take them .I then asked her if he will need to take further x-rays, will I be able to decline ?and she said no. If this is true this place is a ripoff.I canceled my appointment because of her rude responses her rude the way that she spoke to me was so unprofessional and I will never refer people to this establishment. .
