Not only did they make me feel comfortable and excited with their presence but Kia also helped with our timeline in a way that made everything go extremely smoothly. When him Conor and I. Had a meeting couple weeks before the wedding. We were struggling with the timeline of everything and how we're going to incorporate the Persian ceremony with American ceremony and Kia was able to explain how it will be done so effortlessly. As for the actual music, we sent a couple ideas what we wanted the night to be like in Kia couldn't be more perfect in his effortless djing and MCing. And Farzan was a tremendous add, I am so happy We have also had him to compliment Kia. Everyone we spoke to after the wedding could not stop raving about both of them. Also both of their extremely positive attitudes was a cherry on top- they were truly a huge part of the night and couldn't have gone as smooth as it did without them. I need Kia to make a playlist on everything he did because OBSESSED. My maid of honor getting married next year also using Kia also said she is now soooo excited to use you guys!

We walked to the next building that had all of the guitar supplies and greeted a security guard at the front, he saw the online order in our hand when we walked in. I made direct eye contact with him. My mother and I walked around and looked for pedals and other guitar accessories. We had started to carry around things we were intending to buy. We headed towards the back of the store with the midi keyboards. The security guard from the front followed us to the back of the store and ordered us to come to the front and make an itemized list of the things in our hands. I told him that we hadn't paid for the items in my hands yet and that we were shopping. It was very confusing to me because he was inhibiting us from shopping. I asked him directly why we were being singled out when the store was full of people. He was very rude and I believe it had something to do with our race as we were the only black people in the store. I was adamant on wanting to know why he was singling us out and he continued to talk in circles. I demanded to know why I needed to come to the front again and he would not give me a reason so I refused to come with him. Another employee saw that this was becoming a situation and diffused the situation. This interaction was very demoralizing and they humiliated my mother and I by accusing us of theft when we had done nothing wrong or suspicious. He yelled at us in front of everyone. I would not come here again and will continue to take my money to the Guitar Center down the street.

See:…read morehttp://www.nightanddaymusic.com/ Night and Day performed at my wife's birthday party (a significant date), providing a high degree of musicianship in their rendition of "standards" and songs from the Great American Songbook. We engaged Night and Day for a private party at a lovely Capitol Hill restaurant (Ninella) and wanted an ensemble that would amplify the elegance we hoped to achieve for our party. Throughout the evening, Night and Day furnished that elegant touch, understated and balanced, and demonstrated why hiring professionals (who know each other and have worked together) makes a real difference. We were treated to vocals from Renée Tannenbaum, who certainly charmed our guests and helped create the atmosphere we hoped to achieve for our friends. I note that Night and Day also rehearsed with one member of our party a song (As Time Goes By) and troubled themselves to get a copy of the song in advance, arranged as our party member intended to sing it. We would recommend Night and Day to others, would certainly engage them again if the occasion arose, and would welcome hearing them perform at one of DC's local venues.

We offer solo piano and smaller combos for tasteful background, or larger ensembles with vocals for dancing. Our warm, energetic music is equally appropriate for corporate events, weddings and parties, both formal and informal. The Night & Day band has been together since 1991. The group always arrives on time, plays especially danceable music, and is never too loud. We'll work closely with you to make sure your event is a success, both musically and otherwise. Our prices are very reasonable. From tented backyard parties to black tie galas, Night & Day is the wise choice.

PLEASE READ, ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE PLANNING EVENTS INCLUDING YOUTH!…read more Crushing Colonialism, a nonprofit based in DC, used Washington Talent Agency (WTA) for two nights full of major international hybrid in-person and livestream events in May and June 2025. They made promises they couldn't keep and the quality of work was awful. They were horrendous at communication. The worst incident that occurred was p0rn being played by some hateful viewers during our live stream because they didn't follow our instructions to deny mic, camera, and chat access for viewers. The person we originally spoke with, Sam, seemed incredibly friendly and excited to support our organization. He said that they could do the work that we required and they worked with our very limited budget. We were so excited to move forward with WTA. We hired them to do photography, videography, and hybrid/live-streaming during two nights of international events. We had many higher level needs that were clearly expressed to them in numerous meetings, emails, and contracts, which included zooming in a couple or speakers, spotlighting ASL interpreters in the live stream, playing films in the zoom livestream as opposed to a camera fixed on the screen in the theater, and ensuring that viewers were easily able to access our language interpreters. They did almost none of this. They were also supposed to give us a high-quality video copy of the events and they didn't. We had to spend a great deal on an editor who could only correct so much. There were plans to use some of the footage for a documentary and WTA knew that. Their volume settings were incorrect in the zoom so people watching the zoom weren't able to hear things properly at the higher quality the in-person audience experienced. The photographer was pretty good, but there were so many photos that weren't taken during one night of performances. Our organization and the communities we serve have been denied an important part of our archival efforts to preserve our culture. The person assigned to our event wouldn't respond to anyone's emails or phone calls, including our language coordinator, who said that the primary reason we had so many problems with language access during the event was because WTA wouldn't respond to emails. As a result, the required coordination between all parties didn't occur. BUT THE WORST is that they didn't set the zoom link to private for the viewing public, despite being told repeatedly that they had to do this for fear of hate speech or other inappropriate and harmful actions occurring. Well, that happened, including people playing p0rn in the livestream. Our events included youth. No one at WTA had the decency to contact anyone at the organization after this happened. I had to contact Sam and tell him everything that went wrong, including his person making some rude and unprofessional comments about our event, including that he told others at WTA to not accept our event. I asked for a 50% refund, which frankly we should've been given a full refund since they didn't meet their contractual obligation and caused significant harm to online event viewers and our organization's reputation. But Sam refused to even ask his boss. Not only did they rip us off and mistreat us, but we're still heartbroken regarding how much our communities lost because of their incompetence, carelessness, and awful behavior.

I applied weeks ago and only received one email that I would be hired after a quick phone call interview. I waited for days , never heard from the guy. He goes by MC Tee as seen under the profiles of MCs. I decided to give him a ring since I knew the event was coming up on Saturday the day before Easter even though I was to be out of town for family I was really dedicated to my job and wanted to make a good impression. He picked up and stated that he totally forgot about me and sending me the info to the party. He said call time was at 5pm At this time it was 4:30pm (sheesh) and all the way in Reston Va. I told him I'll do my best and be there at 6pm He said perfect. I arrived at the location 6pm.I texted and called him several times for the room number. Never got it. The hotel staff kindly directed me to the party room. I saw MC Tee on stage and he didn't acknowledge me until almost 7 pm. No training no plan no nothing I just jumped in and started dancing and entertaining. During half-time One of the dancers quit and left home early for reasons unknown to me. They kept that on the low on purpose. I was told by Mc Tee that since he left I would get his tip which was $50 He took it out his wallet handed to Mc Tee and he handed it to me. I was then told I'd be bumped up from trainee at $75 per event to full time which is $150 for that day. So that would mean I would be compensated a total of $200 for the night correct? Wrong. I went all night in high heels all black because I wasn't told what to properly wear at this event. Mc Tee laughed it off while I was in discretionary pain all night. I learned the dance moves on my own and integrated with the kids all night. I was also told by Mc Tee to shut the Vendors down during critical times during the ceremony (which is not my job) He kept yelling at them on the mic. There was so much drama the whole night I stuck it out and completed my services. He did not pay me by end of night So I only went home with a tip. When I woke up next morning I found $$75 in my cashapp wallet. Huh? Wheres my remaining $75. I did this company a solid and all I got was threats insults and name calling from MC Tee refusing to pay me. I will never work for this company again It's rude abusive and they do not pay their workers. I was even told my "tip" was included in compensation lol They are nuts I am highly disappointed after helping them out and will be seeking legal counsel to get my remaining monies.Rude Disgusting and Lazy Do not hire Mc Tee!

Forrest at the Silver Spring location is really great and he extract the most out of the kids in a really positive environment. My son has been to many music schools and lessons over the years and this really is an outstanding program. The best part is it really has many kids who are really musically inclined, talented and willing to work in a group setting. The performances are very impressive and fun to watch. I can not say enough good things about it. The price is very reasonable and they don't pressure you to subscribe to packages or long term contracts - if you pull out you don't pay any more. They focus on who wants to be there. Give it a try - much better than similar programs in Bethesda.

I was given $15 an hour while working less than 4 hours a week. The lessons aren't even an hour long so i was hardly even being paid to provide expert professional lessons to young children. Essentially I was an underpaid babysitter. On top of being unable to provide employment, my one day that i worked ranged from 3-4 hours a day where i was teaching drums and guitar back to back. I was not given any space of time to switch gears as well as i had to change rooms between each lesson. This was made more difficult by a manager who would pester me about getting out of one lesson to go to the next, presumably because if i went over on the lessons i would then go over on my work time and therefore have to be paid for more than just the minutes where i was in lessons. My last day of employment, I had called in an hour before i was to be there, as I was sick, I had been seeking a day off so as to recover and not come in with an unknown illness that might be contagious. I contacted the manager who proceeded to berate me about her personal issues and was told that because other teachers had called out on other days this week she was unwilling to contact my students and cancel my lessons. I was also told to consume whatever quantity of cough syrup i needed and chase that with vitamin C. I showed up for these lessons, first student didn't even show up. I spent the next two days trying to work out in my head what had happened so that i could contact the manager to follow up without carrying my personal baggage to the conversation. The manager tried to make contact to "discuss School of Rock's staffing policy". I received this message the day after my lessons which i taught while carrying a sickness. As I had missed the managers call, this was the first point of contact she made with me following what had happened, which set me off and so i took an extra day to clear my head, fearing the harassment from my employer of being unwilling to understand or care for my needs as an employee. There was one or two more attempts made at contacting me before what happened next. After three days i received, an email to my inbox stating that my employment had been terminated. I work another job that provides me with just short of full time employment, yet left me availability to work at School of Rock on any day of the week. I had never called out sick prior to this situation. and had been forced to miss/move lessons to cover other people's call outs, mostly made the day of the class or lesson that needed covering. I feel very strongly that I was treated with disdain and profiled as an irresponsible person and made to feel outcast by this organization because of my status as a musician. To the point where i feel that supporting musicians means not enrolling in School of Rock. To my students: I am very sorry that I could not say bye or finish lessons that I had started with you. That is unacceptable.
