Absolutely awful experience. Went on the waiting list. Got an email saying a puppy was reserved. Thereafter it was so difficult to get any information. Paul raves about himself as a great breeder but we had to beg to be able to visit the puppy and didn't get to see the parents. Which is an absolute breeder No No. We had arranged a time to visit. Then last minute Paul text saying he won't have time the vet is coming - as we were on our way! Then when we got there the puppy was on its own in a sawdust filled container. Didn't get to see the puppy with parents or in its own environment. We went with it though due to reviews. Then were due to pick up the puppy (having driven and stayed somewhere closer the night before) Paul still hadn't confirmed a time. I hadn't sent the rest of the money because of this! Then he finally replied and said we weren't a good fit because we asked too many questions!!!! He had absolutely no interest in where his puppies go. Didn't ask if we worked/if we have a garden etc. Just wants the money. Says he doesn't have time to reply to people. But doesn't seem to hire staff to support the business and reply to messages for him. ​​​He said he didn't see us being able to have a relationship in future. Well yes when you don't reply to any messages. We were only asking to confirm visits, pick up and we wanted to see the mum of the pups... Not a lot to ask from an apparently 'excellent breeder'. We were so upset and just stuck with it to this point due to being in love with the puppy. But not to be. Would avoid completely! . Like others we had a terrible experience with this man. Not only was it like trying to get blood out off a stone getting messages to arrange viewing of our puppy he was also very dictatorial trying to steer us to a different puppy to the one we wanted and had paid for! Almost like he sold it to someone else instead and didn't want us finding out. He called my daugher a pest because she asked to see some pictures after four weeks of no communications We started to get alarm bells looked online past the first page or two of his propaganda websites and found out he's actually a huge puppy farm operation we asked for our deposit back and got blocked instantly from text messages calls whatsapp fb and instagram. We had to raise a small claims procedure against him. The puppies themselves are lovely and there's probably lots of people will say to go to him for a puppy but if you do please bear in mind what happens to all the poor mother dogs after he is finished with them! and the lifes they have confined to a small yard day in day out while being used like battery farming machines. We finally got a puppy from a small home breeder who actually raises puppies at home in there living room not in plastic boxes filled with sawdust and the difference in the experience is like night and day read more

Watch out do not join the waiting list. You will get very little information on expected litters even if they've been born. I needed 6 to 8 week notice to get enough time for annual leave. A litter had been born but I only found out at the same time as he posted to social media 2 and a half weeks before pick up date. They had also tried to get me to buy a puppy from a previous litter which was not our preferred colour knowing that they had a litter born with my preferred colours. Glendream? More like Glen-nightmare! My experience was much like the rest of the reviews on here. I had heard from friends that this breeder was difficult to deal with and noticed the old 1 star reviews on here but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt given they were so old. Boy was I wrong to do so. Dealing with Paul was like pulling teeth and walking on egg shells. I have never experienced poorer communication skills in my 40 years of business. There was absolutely no fun in the process of purchasing from Glendream which should be one of the happiest experiences of my life... How can someone get it so wrong is beyond me. Ultimately, I never went through with purchasing a puppy from Paul after numerous red flags and poor communication (unable to see the mother and father, no visiting allowed). Furthermore, the final payment was to be in physical cash which was another red flag which HMRC may be interested in. As the other reviews have said, if you wish to pander to an egomaniac then you will probably get a really nice puppy. If you value your dignity and sanity then I'd recommend staying clear. read more

I can not praise Paul enough. He absolutely loves his dogs, and tries his hardest to reply to people, sometimes he receives 100 messages a day, he has dogs to look after and cannot possibly contact every one who is looking for a dog otherwise he could not run his business. I was lucky he picked up when I called, and he was more helpful. I am now the proud owner of Breeze a wonderful Cavalier that he was retiring and he said she was a favourite of his, it took some convincing but he let me have her, and I also got a beautiful Cavapoo. I am besotted with both. Both are very loving and affectionate and I am so blessed to have them both in my life. These reviews on here about not contacting people, please put yourself in his shoes, it is not a big business, he does the admin himself, how could he possible answer every single message. He runs a business and has a life to lead. Paul has a big heart, is more than kind, absolutely loves his, cats, dogs and horses. His place is spotless and all his fur babies are well cared for and have a great start to life. I would go no where else for dogs now. read more

It feels a little strange to write a review of a breeder, but seeing as it's a category on Yelp, here goes! We'd decided to get a cockapoo (poodle crossed with a cocker spaniel) a couple of years back, but we needed to make sure the timing was right with work, holidays, life etc. I can't remember how I found Glendream but I kept reading mentions of them online as a great breeder of cockapoos in Scotland, so I'd been keeping an eye on their website. Essentially, you can email Paul (the breeder) and register your interest for a puppy and if the waiting list is open, you'll go on it. If it isn't, you'll just need to wait til the timing is right - puppies don't grow on trees, after all. We weren't in a hurry but ideally wanted to get a puppy in October and thankfully the timing was just right that Paul put us on the list for a puppy. He emailed us to let us know when they were born and made a note of our request for a boy puppy and let us know the dates for viewing and then collection. The whole process was actually really simple and straightforward - we paid a deposit and then met the puppy at 6 weeks, and collected him at 8 weeks with his first vaccination done, microchipped, wormed, flea treated etc. I was so nervous about getting a puppy but meeting Paul in his home and seeing where the puppies lived really reassured me we were getting a puppy from the right place. He lives on a farm right on the water so it really is a lovely area for puppies to start their life! Paul takes what he does very seriously and answered every single question we had. On the day of collection he had a whole pack prepared for us including blanket, treats, bowl for measuring his food and all Joffrey (the puppy)'s paperwork. From Paul's facebook page you can see he likes to keep in touch with all families who take the puppies he breeds which is really lovely - it feels like a community rather than a one-off business transaction. We couldn't be more happy with Joffrey as an F1 cockapoo - he's a confident and relaxed puppy which has come about from being in a home with other animals and he's been really easy to train so far. If we were going to get another puppy (!!!) I'd definitely get it from Paul at Glendream. Notes: If you are looking to get a dog that you want to breed yourself, best talk to Paul - part of the contract with getting a boy puppy is that you get them neutered. Wanted details to be able to go on the waiting list and pay the deposit but never got a reply. Funny how it's only good reviews on his website and they are all old reviews. Gentleman was a nightmare to get a hold off. When we did eventually get a hold of him seemed completely disinterested in offering any sort of solution that ended in us getting on his waiting list. Did not answer phone calls, and I'm pretty sure emails aren't even acknowledged. You are more or less meant to wait on his every word regarding the waiting list, but can not get on said waiting list unless there are puppies available. Waiting list get priority of new puppies so it's a vicious circle of disappointment. Eventually found a home breeder and could not be happier with our little man. Only reason he is so successful and has the following/requests he gets is because he has no competition north of the border. read more
