I suffer from neck and shoulder pain and I was hoping for some relief through chiropractic care. My condition was aggravated by a car accident some 6 months ago. I found Dr. Bruce Homsey's practice via Groupon while looking for a chiropractic package that might offer some relief. The Glendale Chiropractic Life Center is beautiful and modern location their staff is warm and welcoming and their back care package was just what I was looking for. One package includes chiropractic exam, two x-rays (only the initial visit), spinal adjustment, mechanical traction, therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, cold or heat therapy at a phenomenal price. The spinal adjustment and mechanical traction was just what I needed Dr Homsey offered insight as to why I was experiencing pain and what techniques can be used to help alleviate the pain with using physical therapy and spinal decompression. He offered a treatment plan that was affordable and reasonable. I just walked out. I was really looking forward to this. I made my appt over the phone with the doctor. I was told to show up 15 min early to do paperwork. So I show up 15 min early. The front desk girl was rude and short and acted as if I was such a bother. (I was the only person there, other than a patient in with the doctor). That patient left and I sat there, and sat there and sat there. The Dr comes out finally at 10:45. Says "oh are you here to see me?" "Nobody told me you were here". He then had me sit in his office/adjustment room. Said he'd be back, started conversations with another doctor and front desk girls so at 11:00 I just walked out. I had a bad feeling from the minute I walked in thanks to the wonderfully happy front desk girl. I wish I would have read the reviews before wasting my time. read more

I would think twice about doing business with them. Bought the deal from Groupon for $40, and it listed everything that comes with the deal, which included an X-ray, 30min massage, spine manipulation, etc....came to the office and the doctor never told me they would charge me an additional $40 for the X-Ray. He said he was going to do the X-ray and I took all my earrings off and bra, but he never said it would cost me more. He literally cracked my neck and back in one area and his part was over. Not sure why they charge so much since the doctor spends like 5min with you and the machine does all the rest. He brought me to the receptionist who initially messed my appointment up, so the doctor had to schedule it for me. We ended up texting which already was a red flag that a doctor texts his own patience. The receptionist says it will be $40.... I was shocked and confused... Huh? I gave her my card because I'm a nice person and didn't want to fight or ague, but I was so furious at that point that they would make me pay while I am still in treatment. I asked her what the charge is for and she said for the X-ray and I told her the doctor never told me this. By the way, the doctor was standing on the other side of the desk where I couldn't see him, but I knew he was there. She apologized to me and didn't really care, doctor didn't say a word even though I knew he heard me. He couldn't have clarified it right then and there? I ended up walking towards the door because I was so confused on what is next. They didn't do a good job explaining what is next. This is my first time I had no idea. The list on groupon seems very long compared to the services I had which lasted less then 20 min. I went on the spine decompression which was a horrible experience. After it ended my back was hurting even more!! The massage therapist there I forgot his name saw the pain I was in and took me to his room and helped me stretch. He was very sweet in doing this and I thank him very much for going out of his way to help me! May god be with you! Thank you for that. Unfortunately I woke up and my back was 2X worse after that experience and I called groupon to get my money back, which they apologized and refunded my money. I called the doctor and it was a complete disaster! I can't believe what a cheap doctor he is that he can't refund me my $40, which he practically stole from me! He makes so much money and $40 is too much for him to give his patient back? He tricked me, I don't know the terms he was using. I'm not a doctor. He never said it would cost me an additional $40 for the X-ray. It wasn't on any of the papers that I signed. He lied to me. Please everyone be careful of this doctor! He will talk you into coming back for 6 weeks and discounts the price to $1,300 instead of $5,000. This is a chiropractor!! This is not a legit doctor who can diagnose you!!! He should be ashamed to call himself a doctor. Talking to him was difficult he kept taking over me and ended up cutting the line. He can hard earned $40. He lost a patient for $40, not a very smart doctor. He could have given me my money back and I would come back periodically, but he chose to lose me as a customer completely. I will make sure to tell everyone I know about my experience. No one not even my worst enemy deserves to be treated like this. Can't stand people who think just because they have a degree they're kings or something. People are people. Once this doctor figures that out he might be able to get his business out of the hole!! I went for my initial visit and it was extremely expensive. In my opinion my first visit was so high in price, I can't see how anyone could afford it. If you go though your insurance company like I did, he filed a lien against me for payment. The guy even called me at home at 9:00pm at night, wanting money. This warm establishment is staffed with the most genuinely friendly and caring individuals in town! Dr. Homsey has curated top talent and I absolutely look so forward to my visits. I am always welcomed with smiles throughout the office and I find it extremely satisfying knowing how well I am treated during each visit. Currently, I'm in the process of completing my first treatment series for some serious tweaks to the lower lumbar/sacral area from years of heavy lifting/bending/stooping. Dr. Homsey was able to tailor a treatment plan designed to decrease my pain and get me results in as little as 20 visits. After our first session, where he spent more than 30mins reviewing digital x-rays and explaining my ailments, he adjusted me in all the right places. Immediately, my range-of-motion improved in my neck and my hips. I then sauntered to Heather's cozy treatment room where I experienced traction ( LOVE IT!) and the most AMAZING massage. Heather's beautiful energy and healing touch dramatically enhances Dr. Homsey's adjustments. I went in to see Dr. Bruce Homsey about feeling dizzy. I have gone to many chiropractors in many states and this is one of the best experiences I've ever had. He first took X-rays and when we went over them not only did he explain what was happening for me but the adjustments he made on me made an immediate impact. I felt better, my head was clearer and the tension in my shoulders had lessened. I have had chronic tension in my shoulders and he explained that how I was holding my body and my alignment was the cause. He showed me how to sit and immediately the tension has lessened. Bad experience today 10/19/16 Had an appointment for 5 pm. Got there at 450 pm filled paper work out . I waited 30-35 min before I left because no one has time to wait like that. The owner called me when I got home and appreciated my feedback but also told me that I shouldn't write a review and I should have waited up to an hour, because that's how much time the waiting/treatment is. This is not a negative review for the doctor or practice since I wasn't treated. Just simple customer service. He also wondered if I'm a person who bashes businesses. No, but I appreciate good business and to be treated with respect. So I'm very happy that I can express my feelings on here without getting told I'm a bad person with a bad heart per Dr Hornsby. He asked me if this is what I do for fun( Yelp ) . To dr Hornsby , I created a Yelp account after your unprofessional call. To answer your question ; no I don't do this for fun. He also added; do you do this with your other doctors . I told him that with my physicians, new or not put me in a room in 15 min or less then get me out in a half hour or less of consultation time . Not 30 min waiting in the line while others go ahead of you left and right. this is America and its my right to feel the way I do and to write this review . Sorry, I cannot recommend this chiropractor. The treatment was fine, but the billing practices weren't to my satisfaction. They never sent me any bills, nor any verbal updates for 3 years, so I mistakenly assumed they had billed my health insurance. Then, they tag me with the full billed amount, which I'm now apparently liable for, from signing the sheet on the first visit. I'll never return, and buyer beware if you seek treatment here, make sure you know what insurance it will be billed to, then you MUST check to make sure it's billed in the same year as treatment! You have to stay on top of them, or you have to pay. read more

While the doctor seemed nice, I felt like I was dealing with a car salesman during my consultation. The employees and the doctor himself are involved with some herbal "miracle drug", that supposedly can "change your life", and their main focus is to push their product and recruit others to become pushers as well. It was awkward and uncomfortable for me, and I was seriously annoyed. I went there for X-rays, an adjustment, and a massage, not to hear about how I "need" to be on this supplement, and how I should pay a bunch of money to start selling it to others. I found it to be extremely unprofessional. If I had enquired about it, that would be different, but that's not the case. They even got my email address off of the form I filled out when I got there, and by the time my massage was over and I left, I had six emails from the doctor about the magic pill. I wasn't going to write this review, until yesterday I got a follow up phone call and voicemail from the doctor, not to see how my back was, but to see if I got the emails and watched the videos he sent me about the herbal supplement.
