We tried (upon recommendation from a family member) to hire Dorcas to complete our wills. She was…read moreinitially un-responsive in getting back to us & when she finally did her manner (tone & statements) were off-putting to say the least. She insisted we meet in her office to 'prove that we were invested in the process and didn't waste her time & expertise and then go elsewhere'! When I reinforced we wanted to hire her & would pay her 50% up front she would not waiver, saying she 'never learned' and was 'not able to do a virtual meeting' and that just a phone meeting would show we were not invested in the process. Seriously? A year into Covid and a professional has not yet implemented reasonable technology to conduct virtual business! My spouse has a health issue that requires us to exercise utmost caution during the pandemic but when I explained this she suggested we put off doing our will until summertime! She made other remarks also that we think indicates she simply did not want the business (would've been easy $$$ for her). Since she chose to take a less than polite path with us, we will now tell others for years NOT to hire her. Lesson for this law business of 2 lawyers: 'how you treat people really does matter.'

The architect and designer went dark on us for weeks at a time. And when we finally got a design, it was something most office workers could generate on Power Point in 20 minutes with hand drawn furniture on it. They then proceeded to go dark on us again so we found a new architect. We emailed and called and asked for a final bill (they kept the $1,200.00 deposit). No response. Six months later we get a non-itemized bill for $3,600.00 FROM A COLLECTION COMPANY. Yes they immediately sent the bill to collection. We never received any notice. They still would not answer any phone call or email. It got to the point where we had to get a lawyer involved and they did not respond to him either. Eventually the bills stopped coming but these people are the absolute worst.
