The food is fantastic. Even though everything is made on such a huge scale, it's always delicious. My husband looks forward to the pork shank the other 364 days out of the year. I am boring, schnitzel and potato, pancake girl myself, but either way you can't go wrong. We always say we are going to try the chicken dinner, but we never do. It's always a bit packed, so go prepared to wait in line, but everyone is always friendly and chatty.

My family became members of SCC when I was 6. People can tease me all they want about my hoity-toity upbringing, but I can't deny that the country club played a huge part in my childhood. Tennis lessons, pool activities, Sunday brunches, 4th of July fireworks, wedding receptions, bar mitzvahs. All of it was great fun! Growing up, I always dreamed of having a house as grand as SCC's clubhouse. I am still in awe of its classic design to this day. The pool is bustling every summer with children activities and the tennis courts are well-maintained. I'm not a golfer but according to my parents, SCC is one of the top 3 courses in Toledo. The ballroom is home of Sunday brunch and private receptions, the mixed grill on the lower level is for casual dining, and the 19th Hole is bar/lounge reserved for golfers only. All in all, the grounds are beautiful (I'll upload pictures on my next visit), and the club remains as classy as it was 20 years ago. If you are in the market for a membership, SCC is the best club in the area.

I am so unbelievably dissapointed in our experience with this limo service for a bridal party that…read moreI was in. The bus was beautiful but it wasnt worth being treated so poorly by the driver. He was the most miserable person I have ever come in contact with. I politely asked where the closest place was to get champagne so we could toast in the bus and he threw his hands up and rudely said that he didn't know. I felt scolded for asking a simple question. As we drive, he slammed on his breaks numerous times as our videographer has on tape and every person on the bus spilled drinks because of it. To top it off, we arrived at the reception at 6 pm when we had paid to be on the bus until 645 pm. I asked why we had arrived so early and he responded with: "You had reservations until 630 pm and I have somewhere to be so this is going to have to work." He also said that he already talked to his manager about me, called me a F****** B****, and said that his manager said that he would expect nothing less than someone like me from a party like that. All while this lovely conversation was going on, he coasted in the parking lot and SLAMMED on his breaks, throwing everyone in the bus. The bride and groom spilled drinks all over themselves before entering the reception. Our videographer saw everything and was even nervous about our safety. Nobody deserves to be treated like this. I would hate for anyone else to have such a horrible experience on their wedding day. Luckily, being the "type of party" we are, we made the best of the night to celebrate the wedding we were in.

I used DM as my photographers for my wedding and I want to give them a good review but I honestly…read morecan't. The owners, Bridget and Joe are REALLY nice people and their work has been featured in The KNOT (magazine). When I was deciding on photographers, I decided to go with DM because they were very friendly, nice, and they seemed to be everything I was looking for. PHOTOGRAPHY Before the wedding, we went over everything that I didn't like (ie black and white photos) and everything that I wanted (list of pictures, 2 photographers- 1 being Bridget, tons of pictures, etc). But the day of the wedding I was sent Bridget's sister instead of Bridget (apparently Bridget had sprained her ankle). I understood that Bridget couldn't come but I was upset because nothing that I had relayed to Bridget about what I wanted was relayed to her sister, and on the day of my wedding the last thing on my mind is going over what the photographer needs to do. Unfortunately, Bridget's sister was NOT as good of a photographer. To begin with, she apparently didn't white balance her camera because all the pics in the chapel were orange/yellow. Also, she missed key pictures- ie the entry of the parents/grandparents, the ring exchange, the kiss, pictures of the guests at the reception tables! She also took pics in black and white, which I had specifically asked them NOT to do. Also, DM did not do a good job photoshopping the pictures. I thought that they would at least photoshop the pics so they wouldn't be do yellow, but their photoshopped pics weren't much better than the originals. I was able to photoshop them better and I have no experience with photoshop. I was disappointed in how long it took to get my photos. Another reason I went with them was because they promised to have the proof, pics and photo books done before any of the other photographers. I guess this should have raised some suspicion. The proofs were posted weeks, if not a month after promised. And the photo 'negatives' and photobooks came in a lot later than promised. (I don't remember exactly how long but it was much after the promised time). VIDEOGRAPHY On top of that, a couple weeks before the wedding, Joe called to ask if I wanted them to do the videography at a discounted rate. I had already had someone who was going to do it but DM promised to have the video sooner than the other person and they offered a better price so I had them do my video too. What they failed to mention was that by having them do the video, I lost out on a 2nd photographer. Had I known this, I would have preferred having the 2nd photographer and stuck with my original videographer. I must say that the wedding video was well done and we enjoy it. But the video also took longer than the promised time (months after). And my parents were disappointed because they did not video tape the entire wedding ceremony. So we can not even rewatch the wedding address/sermon. Overall, yes the people at DM are nice. But considering how expensive they are, I was highly disappointed in the end result. Every time I think of my wedding pictures, I think of how much I overpaid for not so great pictures. If you do go with DM, I recommend guaranteeing that you get Joe or Bridget as your photographer if you can. I'm guessing that since they have been featured in the Knot, they have to be better than what I got.

This facility was a great choice for our families and friends to continue the celebration The hall is spacious, air conditioned, great layout and room to spread. The back glass wall in the hall over looks a rather large farm pond and lots of greenery which added to the uniqueness. Food provided by Premier Catering and was well received and liked. Friends and family are still talking about how nice and how much fun they had. The hall is centrally located and easy to get to...right off SR 795 & I-75 highways... Across the cornfields and the Bass Pro store in Rossford. A large white building with Blue Metal roof. We had about 135 guests in July and it was a beautiful sunset setting later that evening! Hall rental allows you to purchase and bring in your own beer/wine & liquor which helped the budget, plus hall rental included two bartenders and security.
