The elevator has a 4-person limit and going over that will cause the elevator to become stuck and beep very loud (which is so sketchy). The permit listed on the elevator expired in 2023 as well. It's always lively and bustling with younger AND older generations of Koreans plus plenty of non-Koreans looking to explore the culture! As someone who has lived in Koreatown his whole life, this place is a pillar of Korean-American culture. By the way, cell reception is completely non-existent in many areas of the mall including H-Mart and the food court. Restrooms are on the first floor.

If they have to do maintenance, they should avoid doing so during such busy hours. + Nicole's Coffee Shop was kind enough to validate my parking without me buying anything. I decided to support their business anyway. - The food court is very limited on hydrating, healthy drinks. I had barely walked around inside the Plaza for 15min when suddenly all the lights went out. Inside H-Mart was so dark. I ran outta there. Sunlight still shown through the windows, thankfully. Everyone was confused. I rushed back to my car in the parking garage and booked it outta there. Thankfully the gatekeeper's barricade arm was staying up (so my validated parking ticket didn't matter) so I could drive off quickly before the exit became a bottleneck. Turns out West LA had a blackout... the one time I ever visit LA! Shame, cuz I wanted to walk around Koreatown Plaza a little more before heading to the next checkpoint in my itinerary.

Now I don't usually bring other people's reviews into my own, but...Did someone really give 1 star because they bought what they thought was the real Stanley Cup? ^_^ Well, you won't find stuff like that here. It's all gifts and cute stuff, fun things and just an adorable-ness overload with some anime and Kpop stuff thrown in. I'm 100 years old and my friends & I loved Mashimaro when we were little! I was SO happy to see a black and gray Mashimaro tote in the store. It was overpriced at $80, as are most things in here, but it's not absolutely terrible pricing. I mean it's vintage at this point, lol. In general, the pricing here isn't quite as bad as you'd think within a mall. The store is overpacked with items squeezed in to maximize the small store space. I think the merchandise may have been upgraded since reviews from several years ago because I didn't see anything that was not decent to high quality. I'll definitely shop here again.

A literal little hole in the wall, tucked away and unassuming, the kind of hidden gem that reminds you why small neighborhood shops matter so much. From the moment you walk in, the energy shifts. The space immediately feels tranquil, peaceful, and intimate. Soft lighting, neutral tones, and thoughtfully styled shelves create a calm, almost meditative atmosphere. Nothing feels rushed or overwhelming. Every corner feels intentional, from the clean, minimalist shelving lined with beautifully illustrated greeting cards, to the curated displays of candles, gifts, children's items, art prints, and thoughtful little objects you didn't know you needed until you saw them. I came in with a very specific mission, to find a Valentine's card, but not the overly romantic, cliché kind. I was looking for something that simply said, "I choose you." Subtle, meaningful, timeless. I narrowed it down to five cards, each with its own charm, clever illustration, or heartfelt message. That's when Savanna stepped in, and honestly, she made the experience. Savanna is the definition of exceptional customer service. Patient, warm, and genuinely present, she has an incredible ability to match your energy without overpowering it. She listened, asked the right questions, and helped guide the decision without ever making it feel forced. You could tell she truly knows the products and understands the intention behind them. The card she helped me choose felt right, like it was meant to be picked. The shop itself is spotless and beautifully organized. The card wall is a standout, rows of unique designs, playful illustrations, modern typography, and artful sentiments that feel personal rather than mass produced. Beyond cards, the photos show how carefully curated everything is, cozy candles with clean packaging, tasteful home goods, children's books and toys arranged with care, soft textiles, and charming little gifts that make perfect "just because" finds. Nothing feels cluttered, everything has space to breathe. There's a sense of calm confidence in this shop, it doesn't need to shout to get your attention. It invites you in quietly, lets you take your time, and leaves you feeling lighter when you walk out. Shout and About isn't just a store, it's an experience. One rooted in intention, warmth, and genuine human connection. If you're in Echo Park and appreciate thoughtful design, meaningful gifts, and service that feels truly personal, this place is absolutely worth seeking out. Hidden like all gems are, but unforgettable once you find it.

This is the flagship shop opened in 2015 and there are currently three brick-and-mortar locations in Echo Park, Carlsbad, and Encinitas. [Parking]: Parking is very difficult in this part of town. I got really lucky and found a residential street spot on Grafton St. [Merchandise]: The shop offers many cute gifts including home goods, scented candles, tote bags, and a section with items for children and babies such as children's books and random animal plushies. I like some of their greeting card designs, but there is not much of a stationery selection. There is also a mini print vending machine at the front entrance. [Conclusion]: I am not sure whether I would drive out of my way just to shop for gifts here as there are too many random items. It would be nicer if the shop focused on a more specific niche category rather than being a jack-of-all-trades gift store.
