My family and I stayed here, and we really enjoyed it. When we travel we like to experience more…read morethan the main tourist centers. We enjoyed getting out of Munich. We could easily hop on the train and make it to Marienplatz in about 30 minutes. The rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast was good. The staff also was very helpful and hospitable.

Other than that, there wasn't much else that I liked... The room floor was dirty and didn't seem like it was cleaned (I found a toe nail just laying on the floor). The window handle was broken, and we couldn't open the window to cool the room. Since we had two rooms, we tried to get the second relatively close to the other. The front desk agent was very nice and treated us very well, and she did her best to get two rooms close to each other. Unfortunately, when we checked the second room, it smelled a lot like smoke and cigarettes...

We…read morechose this hotel because it was one of the cheapest in the Munich area (something must have been going on while we were there because almost all hotels in the Munich area were over $200/night, but if we arrived a day later the price would have dropped by almost 50%). We also liked their free wifi and free parking in the underground garage. The hotel was nice, clean and modern. It was roomier than some of the other places we've stayed, and was generally quite nice. By the front desk, they had maps and brochures about things to do in Munich. The hotel offers breakfast must you have to pay for it. Rather than do that, we went to a cafe on the same square as the hotel one morning, and the other a small bakery in the grocery store underneath the hotel. From this hotel, we were able to walk to the subway station (S Bahn) in 5 minutes and were in downtown (Marienplatz) half an hour later. The only thing I didn't like about the hotel was that the room was very dark. There was one weak light on the ceiling, a small reading lamp on either side of the bed, and a small lamp on the desk. Even with all turned on, it was still dim in our room. If darkness is your thing, you may be interested to know our room had rouladen which allowed us to keep out the early morning light. Overall this place worked well for us, and I would stay here again, at least if their price was competitive.

Underground garage parking was included which was incredibly helpful. Nearby, there is a nail salon, paper store (sells international stamps), a mailbox, grocery store with a bakery, and a tea salon. We had a large room which faced the courtyard. However, we never had any issues with noise due to the rouladen on each of our three windows (which could be opened). The bed was very comfortable however I found the pillows lacking in the down department. Overall, I would stay here again without reservation.
