I went here for a spa break and was disappointed. I have been to much better spas…read more I'll start with the good points. Our room was nice inside, the food in the restaurant was good and included delicious gluten free options, and the customer service from the spa manager was very good. The experience fell short in all other areas. The pool was not clean. It has clearly not been cleaned for a long time. Also, I expressed a health and safety concern with the staff in the spa. I asked to speak to the pool manager because there was a man using the pool with what looked like a highly contagious skin condition. The staff shrugged this off without checking or reporting my concerns to the manager. Needless to say I did not return to the pool area. I was also disappointed with the hot tub. It is on a timer for bubbles to come on every 20 minutes, but I would prefer this to be constant, or at least to come on more often! At other spas, there has always been relaxing music playing during the treatment, and I have been shown to a relaxation room afterwards. This did not happen here. My head, neck and shoulder massage was good though. I fell asleep! There was also 20% off the Espa product range, which was a bonus. Our room was very nice, but the chairs outside the room were not clean and had bird mess on them. Also, there were lots of cigarette ends outside. The general cleanliness of things like cutlery and glasses was not the best. There were water marks on these. A spa break is supposed to be a luxurious experience. and this was mediocre at best. Such a shame as this place has a lot of potential and could be great.

What a shame really. This place is a hairs breath away from being really good. The main problem…read morebeing cleanliness. I cannot understand why a spa hotel would leave the pool area in such a state!. A good scrub of the floor and jacuzzi /pool is well overdue. The food and room really nice . However yet again cleanliness of the cups, glasses , and cutlery were lacking. The patio area of our room was full of old cig buts and false nails? Staff were all helpful and knowledgeable. So saved the day and the evening meal really tasty ..hats of to the chef!

The people inside are very friendly and they have male and female hairdressers all of whom are very accomplished in what they do. The prices are pretty reasonable as well and of course they do a student discount which in my eyes makes any place a winner as there looking after the model citizens that are students. You can visit here alone or as part of a group and always feel comfortable whilst waiting for your haircut. The wait itself is never very long and the cuts are always of a high quality. On the whole Janets gets the job done and they do it well.
