I got 1/2 of it out by myself with some help from my mom. Yama and her staff at Bex helped me finish and were reasonable with the cost. I watched several customers come and go and all were pleased. The employees here were quick and kind. Until I got desperate and looked for local braiding salons, I had not heard of this one although Yama says they have been around for 11 years. She told me that she didn't think it was a good idea to bleach the hair in the condition my hair was in because of the many years of black hair dye. What she recommended was for me stop the black hair dye and cover only the gray at the roots only a medium to dark brown and get regular trims of the ends until black was gone which I did. The purpose of the recommendation was that by dying the roots and getting trims was so that can later be able to bleach the hair to a lighter shade. The whole process took me almost a year to get my desired shade. I now have a copper reddish hair and love it. I've gotten many compliments on it and I can get away from dying my grays a little longer than when I had black hair.

I always worry whether I'll have a weird striped look on my head, but Kita always makes it look so natural and the color still pops. The blonde color is bright, but it is still healthy unlike other times where my hair is broken and fried. My hair is still healthy and I have never gotten so many compliments on my hair! Angelica was who dyed my hair the other stylists came over to give some help after it looked like there was a line of copper and really dark roots compared to the rest of my hair. Everyone was very nice so I gave 2 stars. As a SAHM it's hard to find time to get my hair done and now I'm stuck wearing hats and headbands until I can find a person and time to get it fixed.

What I like is the honesty and the cut is cheap $45 for cut & blow dry!! I'm not 100% sure how the other pricing is as I don't color my hair....yet!! I'm sure it's reasonable though, and it will be a service I will use at one point whether I like it or not :) The interior is clean and pretty, and if you've never been over there they only have street parking so bring some quarters!!
